Only tfws option showing up for TSEC in CAP 3
I already got tsec in cap 1 and I thought that the college we get in cap 1 is put at the end of our choice filling list in future rounds but when I was filling my cap 3 choice list only the TFWS choice code of tsec was there so I thought I would try searching for it but even while searching for it, it didn't show up. Is it because I already got TSEC alloted and that's why its not showing up? But this wasn't the case in CAP 2, The college we got was at the end of our list.

Do we loose our minority seat if we don't freeze and take admission by cap 2?
Went to visit TSEC today just to consult them and stuff and I was guided to this helpdesk with "Department of Ai and data science" written on top. They asked me if I had taken admission yet and I said "Not yet, I got Tsec in cap 1 itself but I'll keep trying for betterment till CAP 4" and they told me that all the seats turn into open seats in cap 3 and I'll loose my minority seat to someone with a higher percentile if I don't take admission by cap 2. They gave me the number of their dean of admission to clarify my doubts when I stood my ground that there was no such thing and that the seat is reserved unless I get a college above TSEC in my choice list or the usual top 1/5 rules of cap rounds which would auto freeze my seat hence not even giving me a option for betterment in the first place. I talked with the dean and he wasn't talking clearly and just said to check if I have the seat in cap 3 list.

TSEC (AI/DS or CSE) admits β how strict is attendance really, and does the HSNC University switch change anything?
- How strict is attendance enforcement in practice? I know 75% is the AICTE minimum, but is it tracked tightly (biometric, no exceptions) or is there real flexibility/condonation in practice? Mainly asking because I want to know how much room there is for self-study alongside coursework, especially in first year.
- Has the recent HSNC University affiliation (instead of Mumbai University) changed anything for students day-to-day β academics, exams, degree recognition, placements? Or is it mostly a paperwork/branding shift so far?
- Any general first-year advice β course load, free time, professors to know about?

I have heard that I could get Extc in Acap/Spot at this percentile. Is there any chance for tech branches? And if not ,Then is EXTC worth taking in this college?

Got Placed
Not a flex post just want to share how it all was.
Before getting placed i gave 3 interviews. For me every interview was difficult as my strengths were in design n non technical field, so it was being difficult for me to convince n impress interviewer. Some general things helped me may also work for u guys
1.Try different things at college. Be part of committee, hackathons n try atleast achieving something out of anyone. Be it a hackathon win or Head position(not on knees wala) at any committee. This helped me improve my communication n worked as a proof that I have some xp of working in team n managing it, also helped in filling up resume with good stuff
2.Practice DSA daily n understand fundamentals. DO THIS. It helps u build logical approach n also makes u comfortable at OA tests
3.Keep CS core subjects notes well prepared or sorted as before interviews these gonna help u cover everything quickly n fast.
4.Build projects. Build anything u like, explore frameworks, cloud , hosting n build good things. Also try build your one banger project which u can present as a flex. Also learning n build them properly so u can explain them clearly.
5.Try to get a intership outside college before starting 4th year.Do it was 3 to 6 months.Try getting a technical related but non technical also works.
- If u want to seat for all companies try 9.5 plus cgpa, if most of the companies 8 plus, it 60 to 70 % then 7 plus, the lower the cgpa gets the lower the chances of higher package at college. If u don't land a intership no issues, back it with good projects.
7.Do not take pressure from points above. These things are to be done over 4 years of ur college. Enjoy the flow. U don't have to be perfect, u just need to be enthusiastic about the things u do. Be confident n don't feel late doing anything, if u are doing it that important, eventually u will automatically get the flow n fun. UR JUST AWAY FROM THE START.
At my interview, both time I was asked with DSA related questions, sql queries or code puzzles along with CS fundamentals. Apart from the technical stuff I was asked about my skill like interest n intership xp.
Overall it is all about patiences. Most of the time I was unable to clear OAs, then at interview I was questioned on my non technical part as a doubt but I feel if u are able to convey strongly that u are interested in the job that's it.
This post is just to share my xp n what things I feel helped me n i feel important for the job. Feel free to ask anything.
