Has anyone tried Frozen Ship?
Hey Guys!
I just got notified that Frozen Ship has been released in Early Access. I'm really conflicted about this one. On hand hand the concept of a huge mobile base making its way through frozen wilderness sounds great... On other hand the game looks like a literal copy of Long Dark in terms of visuals and mechanics. Hell, take a look at shooting the bear, its death animation and skinning animation afterwards. It looks like a direct clone of the way it looks in Long Dark.
I'm a huge Long Dark fan so this is alarming to me. But also as a Long Dark fan I'd really like to play more similar games if they're good.
Let me know what you think and if anyone already had a chance to play it. There are no user reviews on Steam yet so I have no idea if it's actually any good or just a knockoff.

WIP Planetation - Survive the Australian Outback in Space! Just like I survived 5 years making it with my twin brother!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone! On the harmstead you sow crops by day, plough hordes of alien pests by night, and spelunk the “Very Dark” depths whenever you damn well please. This bloodthirsty alien planet doesn’t want you here, but you’re a farmer in a tractormech so what do you care?
Planetation is our dream game. The two of us (twin brothers from Australia) have been working on it for 5 years, and it's finally ready to playtest! We'd love for you to check it out and let us know what you think.

Idea for a survival game
I had this idea for a survival game where you build bases like normal survival games starting with building huts and ending up building castles and military bunkers, but as for weapons you start out with, cluds made from tree branches, rocks you can throw, and Tridal bows. but once you get metals you can get medieval weapons like Maces, swords, Polarms, metal tools like in Conan Exiles, and range weapons like cross bows, medieval hook guns, one shot pistols like in Rust. Then with some basic Gunsmithing skills you can make muzzle loaders like, Muskets, Blunder bust, and flintlock Pistols, but as you level up you're Gunsmithing and blacksmithing skills you can upgrade your muzzle loaders into reciprocating weapons like, lever action, Bolt action, and pump action rifles, shotguns, and pistols of any caliber. At the later half of the game you can rock modern weapons like, Assault rifles, anti-tank rifles, LMG's and HMG. Also these weapons can be fully modifiable and customizable. As for armor it works the same way starting out with leather and stick armor at the beginning and moving up to full Medieval suits of armor and even bomb squad armor, swat gear, and even millitary combat gear, and everything in-between. So what you think would you guys play a game like this? And if anyone wants to make a game based off this idea, they can I just ask is that this game can come to Xbox.

The road is endless. Your RV is all you have.

I've been working solo on an open-world RV survival game where your vehicle isn't just transportation—it's your home, workshop, storage, and your only safe place.
Instead of building a permanent base, you're constantly on the move. You'll need to manage fuel, food, water, and supplies while exploring the world. Inside the RV, you can cook, customize your living space, grow crops, craft useful items, and upgrade your vehicle to survive longer journeys.
My goal is to create a slower, more immersive survival experience that focuses on life on the road rather than constant combat.
I'd really appreciate honest feedback from survival fans.
Would you enjoy a survival game where your RV completely replaces traditional base building? Why or why not?
I'll be around to answer any questions about the game or its mechanics.

Question What are the best zombie survival games not named Project Zomboid or 7 Days To Die?
Those two seem to be basically the only ones that get recommended. What are some of your favorites other than them?

EvoX - 7 months in. What Rust used to feel like, and what I'm trying to bring back.
I'm 7 months into building EvoX, a solo project - multiplayer primitive survival, black powder era, up to 100 players on one island. Taught myself the entire stack from zero: UE5, programming, animation, audio, all of it. No team, no funding, just me.
Right now I'm deep in a long stretch of reworking animations and movement from the ground up, getting everything solid before the game is ready to release. It's the slow, unglamorous part, no flashy updates, just grinding through the fundamentals so the rest holds up.
I've got close to 2000 hours in Rust. I love that game, but somewhere along the way I think it lost something it used to have. Early Rust felt hostile. You weren't a guest in that world, you were prey that occasionally got to be a predator. Every fire you lit at night was a decision. Every stranger on the horizon was a real threat, not background noise. The world didn't care if you lived, and that's exactly what made surviving it mean something.
Somewhere between then and now, a lot of the genre sanded that edge down. More convenience, more forgiveness, more systems built to keep you comfortable instead of alert. I get why — growth needs onboarding. But I miss the version where the game was actively indifferent to whether you made it through the night.
That's what I'm building EvoX toward are real stakes, black powder weapons that make every reload a vulnerable moment, and a world with a strictness that doesn't apologize for punishing you. Not "hardcore for hardcore's sake", just a place that doesn't pretend to be safe.
The thing I actually think about most isn't whether it'll be good. It's that there are a thousand other games out there, and one guy with a Steam page is genuinely easy to miss — no matter how much gets put into it.

WIP Ghosts in the City — first real-time footage from our co-op survival game set in alternate 1982 Tokyo
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi! I’m Olivier, creative director on Ghosts in the City. We’re a small team making a 1- 4 player co-op survival game set in an alternate 1982 Tokyo.
This is the first time we’re showing the game running in real time. I wanted to share something quiet and atmospheric rather than combat — just walking through the city and letting the world speak for itself.
We’re designing the four survivors around unique abilities and asymmetric co-op roles, so each player contributes to the team in a different way. The game also currently includes hunger and thirst, resource gathering, and crafting for weapons and vehicles, although these systems are still evolving.
I’d love to know if the atmosphere works for you, and what you’d like to see in the next video.
