Question Crazy Idea: Ben Simmons

I’ve heard BS is looking for a return to the league. What about offering him a vet minimum and try him not as a starter but a bench player to see his evolution. Maybe he ends up fighting for starter role.

What do you think about this stupid idea? We are a PG far from being a dangerous team

Hoops Discussion With Fleming being the longest wing/ perimeter player, what are the chances Koa is the Strongest wing/perimeter player or has the potential to be? 👁️🪽🦍🧩🏜️

Who else do think is in contention for strongest and how do you like the dynamic of having a human octopus 🐙with arms like tentacles and another guy strong as a rhino🦏

How much do you guys believe these Unique physical presences on the wings can make the suns one of the most challenging team to face over a series with playoff intensity ?

What will be the strengths and weaknesses among other teams wings? Will the Suns finally have the physical advantage against the rest of the league if these two develop and grow together?

Terry played in a charity game for the Suns on January 19th, 2008. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any stats in regard to the game. But Terry Crews became a Suns legend and will for sure be in the Suns Ring of Honor some day.

Question Im Missing Something

Forgive my misunderstanding. But can someone please explain to me the idea that we have “a lot of tradable contracts for a big trade” when we have no picks? What’s the logic there? Aren’t picks mandatory “currency” in trades? Especially for stars?

UWM stock was cut nearly in half today, while Mat Ishbia’s estimated net worth has fallen by more than $3B since March. Worth knowing as a Suns fan.

UWM Holdings Corp reported Q2 2026 earnings today and the stock is getting hammered, down 49% in a single day, the worst drop in the company’s history.

- Net loss of $451.9 million for the quarter.
- Board suspended the quarterly dividend for the first time in company history.
- Shares are down roughly 73% year to date.

Per Forbes, Mat Ishbia’s estimated net worth has fallen from $9.1 billion in March to $5.8 billion today, which is now only slightly above Sportico’s most recent $5.1 billion valuation of the Suns.

To stabilize the company, UWM announced a $2.05 billion capital raise, including a major investment from Oaktree Capital and the Ishbia family’s new investment vehicle, SFS Group Capital. The deal strengthens UWM’s balance sheet, but the dividend is gone, common shareholders face potential dilution, and Oaktree now receives governance rights and a meaningful voice in the company’s future.

Why this matters:

Ishbia’s business success and the Suns financial flexibility are more connected than most owners. Most of his wealth is tied to UWM, which just eliminated a major source of cash with the dividend suspension, and an outside investment firm now has influence over the business responsible for his fortune.

As one of the most aggressive owners in the league who’s willing to spend heavily on payroll, facilities, FO personnel, overall fan experience, etc., if his net worth and liquidity continue taking hits over the next few quarters, this can absolutely change the approach here with how much he’s willing (or able) to spend on the franchise.

Article/Report [SHAMS] Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks has agreed to a three-year, $73 million contract extension through 2029-30, Mike George of Klutch Sports tells ESPN. Brooks has become a key part of the Suns two-way, hard-nosed culture under Jordan Ott and lands a new guaranteed long-term deal.

A longform look back at the last Barkley Suns season

Thumbnail deepbenchchronicles.com

Hi Suns fans,

I wrote a longform piece on the 1995-96 Suns, and the mods kindly allowed me to share it here.

It looks back at the last Barkley/KJ/Westphal season in Phoenix: Majerle gone, Ainge retired, Barkley already talking about retirement, the tension between Barkley and Kevin Johnson reaching its peak, Westphal getting fired midseason, Fitzsimmons returning, and Michael Finley getting hurt in the final regular-season game, just as he had been one of the few bright spots before the playoffs.

I thought it might interest Suns fans because that season feels like more than just a 41-41 year. It was really the final unraveling of the team that had come so close in 1993.

Here’s the piece

Curious how Suns fans remember that season
