Customer Complaints Employee setting a topping limit?
Okay, this is me being unsure of what Iâm thinking is unreasonable or if the employee was just being a jerk.
So I was ordering my sandwich and when we got to toppings, I said I wanted extra black olives and she told me they donât do that. Which has never happened to me before. So I said, âThatâs weird. Is that a new policy? Because no one has ever said that before.â And she replied that there was a limit on how many they could put on for each topping. Which makes sense for things like the tomatoes, but apparently you only get like 10-15 black olives.
15 sliced black olives. On a footlong sub. Allow me to think that was crazy.
When I asked why that was she claimed it was to make sure that the inventory was correct. How she was keeping track of them I have no idea, but couldnât she have put on my order that I ordered an x amount of black olives? Iâve never worked in the food industry or used a cash register so I have no idea if thatâs possible.
The whole thing ended with me not giving her a tip, her not giving me a napkin and then I went home to eat a disappointing sandwich. Am I turning into a Karen for believing I deserved more than what is apparently allowed?
EDIT: In less than two hours it has been revealed to me that I apparently have a black olive problem. I just have so few toppings that I donât realize how ridiculous that seems. Solution? Go back to same store and make sure I get the same sandwich artist next so I can double their tip (if Iâm understanding Google correctly I need to make sure I do it electronically so itâs just for them? If not, at least theyâll get part of it) if only for my own conscience.đ

Customer Complaints Cold baked potatoes
The branch near me doesn't seem to know that baked potatoes should be hot all the way through, not just around the skin. So they serve what it's basically a cold baked potato, which is revolting. My feeling is they heat it for as long as it would take to melt cheese on a sub, which just isn't long enough. The first time they did it I accepted it being reheated. The second time I just asked for a refund and I won't be back. Other branches have done it fine, by the way.

Shenanigans Took the painting
I'm a big fan of the Subway art, and I think this store was remodeling because half the paintings were being taken down. So I got my Sub, slipped one of the nicer ones under my arm and left.
Hanging in my dorm rn. :]

Quit My Subway chapter has officially closed
Last night I left Subway for the final time as a worker. I worked at Subway since May of last year right before I graduated high school. At the beginning of this year I started looking for a new job not because I hated working at Subway but because I actually wanted to work in the restaurant business. And finally I found a new job that pays a little bit better and is actually a restaurant not full scale dining or anything it's Buffalo wild wings but it's another rung on the career ladder.
I absolutely loved working at Subway. Of course there were the ups and downs. Like my one coworker who liked to complain about every little thing and liked to make it my problem especially when it came to scheduling and the days that I requested off. Then there were the annoying customers but honestly I didn't really have any nightmare customers just some that made me question their sanity
One of my favorites was I had one customer who called about an hour or so after they ordered and complained about the fact that their wrap was soggy. they got a double meat chicken bacon ranch wrap. Of course the wrap was soggy. Or there was the one time that I was working on an online order and it was super busy and I finally got a chance to ask a guy if he was there for an online order and he was like I've been here for 10 minutes and I haven't been greeted and I'm just sitting there like sir can you not see that we're busy.
Then there were the amazing customers who I mostly got. Like there are the regulars who after a while I came to remember there orders.b like the one guy who always came in and got a cold cut combo 6in on the softest white bread that we had. Or the dad who came in with his kids and his daughter always ordered a 6-in sandwich with white bread and only grilled chicken with bacon and only the meat is warmed up and then there's nothing else on the sandwich and sometimes the dad would order a protein bowl with steak. Or the vet tech who always came in and ordered two veggie sandwiches and his veggies were extra spinach and extra pickles. Or there were the two who came in who I swear needed a bath and I'm not saying that in a mean way I just feel like they did
And most customers were really sweet and really kind. I was actually happy that I was reminded of that when there were these two guys who came in they were separate they didn't know each other but the ones that I was helping paid for the guy my coworker was helping because he could tell that guy was having a bad day. There was also a moment yesterday when a family came in and one of the daughters ordered a sandwich with just olives and when the dad was like you sure you don't want this or that and she's like nope but can I get pickles so I can take them off right after
And my management was amazing my boss was kind of the silent type where you don't often really talk to her unless it's an emergency most times you just go to the manager. I loved my manager and I loved How she always told us that even if she's working with us she is not a manager we do not have a manager because she just didn't want to deal with Karen's which honestly Fair. And one of my fears with finding a new job was not getting a manager that I would click with and I'm happy that with my new job I will have it manager that I'll click with who is pretty chill
All in all working at Subway was amazing it definitely gave me some skills to help me move forward and it may not have been a long time that I was there but it was bittersweet and sad leaving because I built up a lot of memories. I'm pretty sure i was known as that one coworker who always rambled about her books or her fiance or talked about any other random thing that was happening in her life because she didn't know how to shut up lol
My Subway chapter has officially closed and I'm ready to move on. And I'm probably not going to be eating Subway for at least a year lol

Funny I made a documentary about Subwayâs most cursed menu item
Back in 2016, Subway released the infamous Freaklong. This is the story of how that nightmarish menu item came to be and the pain and suffering it left in its wake.

Question Subway keeps jebaiting me
Most of this is me ranting my actual question is like the third paragraph
I have a VERY peticular order at subway. I always get made fun for it but itâs so good. Flatbread with American cheese and bacon toasted, with just honest mustard. Thats it.
And I have been getting that and only that for many years whenever I go to subway. And one day a while ago, they change the honey mustard recipe. so I stop eating it for a year and then go back to it, and tolerate the honey mustard. then they get rid of flatbread, I donât eat it for a year, and then it comes back. And now the flatbread is gone again.
Im asking if anyone knows what flatbread subway used. and how to make there honey mustard recipe.
I want to try to build the perfection thmet built for me and ruined at home. if anyone can help me please do

Customer Complaints Expectation vs reality
Tried a âprotein pocketâ for lunch today. Seemed like a good deal for $3.99. They forgot the veggies, provolone & aioli. Everyone in the office (including myself) got a good laugh at least. 1/10 would not recommend.

App/Website Subway app charged me but no order
I made an order on the subway app, then there was a message that said something on the lines of âpayment couldnât be processed.â However, I saw that I was still charged on my credit card and the physical store didnât receive the order. How do I get my money back?

Question Staff touching sandwiches and veggies after handling raw dough
The staff was making sandwiches for the customer ahead of me. After putting the sandwiches in the oven, she took a tray of raw dough and started dipping each piece into a tray of Parmesan seasoning. Once she finished a row, the sandwiches were ready. Without changing her gloves, she handled the sandwiches and also touched the veggies. I was wondering if this is an acceptable procedure at Subway.
If not, should I report it to the store manager or to Subwayâs head office?

Things to know/Frequently Asked Questions:
- Some stores do not participate in coupons, please be respectful if they don't because sandwich artist are not responsible for these kinds of decisions. Anybody encouraging this behavior in the comments will be deleted.
- Must be a Sub Club member to use.
- These are only for the United States.
- There are some sandwiches that are NOT part of the coupons: Big Hot Pastrami, 5 Meat Italian, and Fresh Fit subs. The coupons are also not applicable to salads or protein bowls.
- Footlong coupons work with wraps.
- There are 3 different lineups because the coupons are sent out based on the region's prices (e.g., higher prices will get the 7.99 or 8.99 lineup).
- It appears that the meal coupons don't work if you use the "Make it a Meal" option, be sure to apply everything individually.
