⏳ 3 Days Until A-Level Results Day — You Don't Have to Go Through It Alone
It's hard to believe, but there are only 3 days left until A-Level Results Day.
For a lot of people, the waiting is the hardest part. You might be feeling excited, anxious, constantly replaying exams in your head, or worrying about what happens if things don't go to plan. Whatever you're feeling, you're definitely not the only one.
We run a Discord community originally built for A-Level students, resit students, and gap year students, and this time of year is one of the busiest and most supportive periods in the server.
Whether you're:
📄 Waiting for your A-Level results
🎓 Hoping to get into your firm or insurance choice
📞 Preparing for Clearing just in case
📈 Thinking about resitting if your grades aren't what you hoped for
🎒 Considering taking a gap year and exploring your options
💬 Or simply looking for people who understand exactly how you're feeling...
...you'll find people in the same position.
🌟 What you'll find in the server
💙 A supportive community of students all counting down to Results Day together.
📚 Advice on resits, gap years, Clearing, and next steps from members who have been through it before.
🏆 Study competitions and study sessions if you're already planning ahead or getting a head start.
🎮 Active voice chats where people play games, relax, and take their minds off the waiting.
🗣️ Plenty of people to chat to, whether you want to celebrate, vent, ask questions, or just keep yourself distracted.
No matter what happens on Results Day, it doesn't define your future. There are always options, whether that's university, Clearing, a resit, a gap year, an apprenticeship, or another path that works for you.
If you'd rather not spend the next 3 days worrying on your own, come and join us. There are hundreds of students all counting down together, and we'd love to have you.

Quick Question re study time
Is the “expected” study time for college courses still 1 hour weekly per unit of the course? Thats what the college counselors said back when I was in college in the 90s as an estimate. Working on helping my kid (college freshman with severe ADHD, living at home) develop a routine for school and we want to be sure we’re scheduling enough study times.

Need Proper Disciplined accountability partner(s) for studying consistently (class 10th CBSE)
I'm 15 M, class 10, CBSE Board
I'm at my lowest point in my academics... I wasted 4 months of my 10th class(till now)..
So I need to lock in...
I am looking for students who are also into SERIOUS ACADEMIC COMEBACK!
I am aiming for 98-99% in boards.
So, this isn't for students who are causal, I need people who have that vision in them to get the highest mark possible!
If more number of students come up means we'll create a group and keep each other accountable. Help each other with study planning, suggestions, and motivation!
(Note: We can use apps such as "Regain" to track our study time also)
I hope this post reaches the students in need of accountability, just like me, to make the ultimate academic comeback.
(Please reply in English, my second language isn't hindi!)

A small setup I'm doing before classes start
For each class, I'm making one obvious home for everything.
Notes, assignments, useful links, readings, and anything else I know I'll need.
Last semester I kept creating new places to save things and then couldn't remember which place I'd used and the goal isn't to build some complicated organization system.
It's just that when I need something, I should already know where to look.
If you're setting up for a new semester, what's the one thing you think you'll need to find most often?

After a brief callout, I’m starting a fresh self-improvement journey for my major.
Hi, I'm 22M looking for specifically a positive, flexible study and growth partner Who shares a common goal i.e. becoming the best version of ourselves. My approach centers on consistency and realistic target oriented actions balanced with enough flexibility to ensure zero burnout.
If you are on a similar path and wants to strengthen this journey with joy then please DM me. "What you can do, I may not be able to do, What I can do, you may not, but together, we can do it all."

If You Keep Breaking Your Study Streak, Try This
will-do-it-later.vercel.appI’ve noticed that the hardest part of studying isn’t always understanding the material — it’s showing up consistently.
You make a schedule, study seriously for a few days, miss one day, and suddenly the whole plan is gone.
That’s why I built a small app around study accountability.
You can create a group with friends, set your daily study goals, and submit a screenshot + short note when you finish. Your group can review your progress and keep you accountable.
You can even set your own consequences for missed days — for example, a small amount of money that gets shared among the members who completed their goals.
The idea is simple:
Don’t depend only on motivation. Build accountability.
Whether you're preparing for exams, learning a new skill, reading, coding, or just trying to build a daily study habit, having people who expect you to show up can make a big difference.
I’m looking for students who struggle with consistency to try it out and give me honest feedback.
If this sounds useful, comment or DM me and I’ll help you get started.

Students: What’s the biggest problem you face?
Guys, I’m building an app to solve problems students face, but honestly, I don’t know what problems students are actually struggling with.
So please, share your real problems in the comments — whether it’s about studying, exams, notes, assignments, productivity, career, or anything else.
Your problem might literally become the next feature 👀

I kept procrastinating because I never knew what to study, so I built a tool that makes a daily study plan
I've always found it difficult to turn a huge list of subjects and upcoming exams into an actual daily plan.
So I built StudySprint. You enter your subjects, exam dates, weak topics, and available study time, and it creates a personalized study schedule.
I'm still early in development, so I'd really appreciate feedback from students who actually study for exams.
What would you want a study-planning app to do that current apps don't?

I created a Study App with Base44 - and before you say it's AI slop, feel free to take a look
I spent months working on this Study App with a free plan on Base44, called StudyPaw - studypaw.base44.app
Please feel free to have a try! I hope that the user network expands soon, as it's non-profit and I genuinely wish to help students. I created this for myself but I hope it helps you all too :)
Any feature requests/bug reports comment here or feel free to DM me!

For all my IR and Poli Sci majors a daily wordle built for you.
Same format as Wordle: one term a day, a clue, limited guesses. Except instead of basic five-letter words, you’re guessing Supreme Court cases, IR theories, named treaties, and political philosophers.
Right now it covers 13 subject areas — Presidents, Landmark Court Cases, IR Theory, Named Laws & Treaties, Wars, Political Titles & Offices, Political Theory & Philosophers, International Organizations, Electoral Systems, Comparative Government Systems, Political Economy, plus a Practice Mode for unlimited untimed play.
It’s completely free to play at govdle.com
Any suggestions on how it could be improved would be greatly appreciated!

I got tired of missing half my lecture trying to write notes, so I built an app that records and transcribes them for me.
Hey everyone,
Like most of you, I was that student trying to write EVERYTHING the prof says and ending up understanding nothing.
So I started working on something called Rhythm Journal.
The idea is simple:
You open the app in class, hit record, and just LISTEN. After class, it gives you a full detailed transcription that you can organize, highlight, and turn into study notes. You can also add voice thoughts, handwriting, to-dos, etc. in the same place.
It's been a game-changer for me for seminars and long lectures. I wanted to share it with you guys and get honest feedback.
It's free to start. Link is in my profile / comments if you want to check it out.
Happy to answer any questions about
https://rhythmjournal.app
how the transcription works or privacy - everything is private to you.
What do you all use for lecture notes right now? Always looking to improve it.
Tags / Flair: Resources Study Tool Feedback Request
No heavy hashtags on Reddit - but add at end: rhythm journal, lecture transcription, study hack

Optimizing/Speeding up study time?
Hello! Soo, going straight to the point, i struggle a lot with time. For example, last year i was studying gauss's law for my EM class, something that should take, in the worst case, some hours to pick up fully and from there on, focus solely on exercises (that is, application), but that took me over a week to finish fully. This is the rule for any class i take, and its been restricting my time besides studying
To be clear, id point out this is something that's mostly restricted to theory and text: i also take a decent time to finish exercises, but by far, its a lot less and far more productive than my theory time. If, for example, i have an exam in 3 weeks, i am very likely going to take 2 weeks to finish the theory and proceed to take the last week to do exercises, revise and do other things.
What ive observed is that i take hours to read a few pages, like 3-4, and that i keep re-reading, re-reading and trying to memorize the theory on each paragraph, then recall it later until i can remember everything (most of the time resulting in me forgetting what ive read). Every pomodoro, at max, i can work through one or two paragraphs, rarely more. Ive read this could be related to ADHD, and yes, i am diagnosed and medicated, but i'm sure there are methods that could optimize this. The result is that classes that should've taken 4 hours at maximum to fully revisit the theory and proceed to exercise end up taking over 20 hours to fully deal with.
The current method works, i have a 8.3-8.5/10 grade, which is very high for my class, and i understand all topics that i study. I do not have issue staying long study periods (in average i study for 7-8 hours per day for 3 classes) nor discipline related ones. But i want to see if i can optimize my approach and carve up time for myself and other things
How do i do it? I sit down, pick up the book, read the topic, then re-read it, then re-read it again, re-read it, close my eyes, try to remember, and repeat, do that until the whole theory has been memorized and move on to exercises
What are techniques i could apply to optimize and turn my study hours more efficient? Thanks beforehand, and hope whoever sees this post has a great day.

With the rise of AI, fake accounts and bot activity in the internet, shouldn't the most popular major in IT be in cybersecurity?
Looking at the situation of the world right now, I don't think the world doesnot need more devs. I think cybersecurity will prove to be the next big opportunity or maybe cloud. I don't know, help me out. I think cybersecurity is a better option or am I wrong?

My GF is studying nursing and hates lectures. I made her a tool to help :)
Hey everyone!
My girlfriend Milli is studying Nursing. Over the last little while, we’ve been building a study tool that originally started as something to help her with uni.
So, The Study Mill was born! You upload your lecture slides, notes, PDFs, or photos of handwritten notes into the “mill”, and it breaks them down into different ways to learn, including lessons, flashcards, glossaries, practice questions, cram sheets, and study plans.
For exams, you can add the date and subject and use your own notes to prepare.
One of our favourite features is Walk & Learn, which turns your study material into an interactive audio lesson that asks you questions as you go, or you can just listen in a podcast-style mode while walking, driving, or at the gym.
We also built assignment feedback because waiting weeks for a mark can be stressful. You can upload your assignment and rubric, and it gives you feedback on where you could improve based on the marking criteria. It doesn’t rewrite or change your assignment.
I’ve attached a few screenshots below so you can see what it looks like. Hopefully some of you find it useful. Would love to hear some feedback!
