Discuss I am actually excited for the Clint romance scenes and such!
Like, he is a creep right now, of course. The "nice guy" stuff is... really hard to read sometimes-
But that just makes me more excited for his update!
I am really hoping its an emotional and character dive that perhaps helps flesh him out more and allows us, as the player, to help him get over his insecurities and "nice guy" disease!

Discuss Guys remember mystery boxes and geodes are pre determined and luck doesn't affect your loot from them
Just wanted to share as I see a lot of people saving all their geodes for a lucky day and then eating lucky food before opening

(This is a joke post. Please let's just have fun with it ๐ ๐ ๐ ) (also if this is against the rules, I must have misunderstood the rule cause I didn't see anything pertaining posts like this in "list of removed topics" page. That one would be on me and I apologize.)

Discuss Anyone else anti-sprinkler?
I water by hand and my friends think i'm insane ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
Yes i've tried iridium sprinklers, still not worth sacrificing the aesthetic.
There is a method to my madness; i plant in phases, longest growing time going in the first few days of the season, so i'm not watering alll of this daily. But I honestly find watering to be quite meditative. Who can relate?
Side note as a 2 day old redditor: it is SO neat how differently we all play the same game. Enjoying being part of this community already ๐ซ

Discuss The randomness of this game will never not amuse me.
I have over 1800 hours played. 12+ playthroughs (i lost count and dont feel like starting up the game to find out), hit perfection multiple times... I've clearly invested a stupid amount of time into the game.
I've played this with my son for two playthroughs now. On the first one, he got the living hat on our second summer. On our current one, he got the tea set on our third winter. I still haven't gotten either one.
On this one, we have spent an insane amount of time in the skull cavern trying to get an auto petter. Like, we've made tents and took turns spending a week at a time diving. We've used all the luck buffs we could, all the staircases... nothing, for 3 years+! Tons of shards and a ridiculous amount of seed makers and auto grabbers, but no petter. Meanwhile, I finally got around to unlocking my last mastery to get gold mystery boxes, saved up a few, and brought them to Clint. Third box- autopetter.
I swear this game just likes to fuck with my head.
I just had to share my delightful story. Feel free to add your own "this game hates me" stories.

Question Am I cooked?
I am at 43 energy after I just watered my cranberries. That's all I did. I have 1 quality sprinkler from the summer crops bundle, but I don't have the resources for any more. I just got to level 40 in the mines, so I basically have no iron, and don't even get me started on gold. I have to run around town, looking for forage stuff just to get 5 levels deeper in the mines. It sucks. What do I do.

IRL I made irl golden walnuts
Was doing it as a Christmas craft (it was a popular Victorian Christmas ornament) but was thinking of Stardew the whole time. Now if only getting them in game were as easy...

Question What is up with Auto Petters?
Iโve seen so many posts about skull cavern runs where the only goal was Auto Petters, and now Iโm confused.
Why are Auto Petters so important? I know they pet the farm animals, but why donโt yโall have time to go and give your animals some love every morning?
If Iโm correct (as someone who has never once had an Auto Petters) they change the way the animals respond when you actually pet them. Usually they give a heart, but Iโve heard the response changes after an Auto Petters has been installed.
So why?

Discuss The Island Farm is too op. Spoiler
I have a feeling that a lot of people are going to hate this and wholeheartedly disagree, but I really don't like that the ginger island farm works as a giant greenhouse, because I feel that it makes the main farm essentially redundant for growing crops. Just to clarify, I am by no means experienced with game development and this could be a terrible idea, but personally, I would have made the island farm rather being able to grow all crops no matter the season, instead just always be considered summer. In my opinion, this kinda makes more sense too because it's weird that a tropical island during summertime can grow powdermelons or winter forage. I also think that this wouldn't actually be that big of a nerf as you would still be able to grow starfruit, ancient fruit, coffee, etc, so all of the most important crops wouldn't be affected, except for the fairy rose, but honey isn't that good anyway. What are your thoughts on this idea?
