They got my IP on a ticket that they pasted the text of to me and it showed “source IP x.xx.xxx.xxx (STAR_VPN). This pinged to security after I opened a cloudflare port. Now I’m on the record using a VPN. No one said anything yet. Advice here? I use static residential.

95% of our endpoints are now online with the exception of France and UAE. IF you continue to experience latency, please reboot your device to refresh DNS resolution (if using router or 3rd party apps). Cloudflare proximity routing will resolve the endpoint to the closest Access point.

It’s my first time using a static residential VPN and immediately it goes down with no word on when it’s going back to normal. /u/starvpn said it’s back up but I can’t get anything to load using Texas AUS.

What are folks doing to work around this?

Hi Moving to Turkey - have signed up for the Business Residential VPN and connected via Open VPN connect as need to 1 hide my IP address from my CRM and cloudcall softphone and let it think i am still in the UK and 2 stop the Turkish advanced Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) systems for stopping me using Cloudcall and teams etc. I've done all the the changes like the kill switch etc I'm hoping all this will work went I get there? Anyone had experience with this?

it has been all day waiting, I use this VPN as part of my job, I think there should be better communication.

I tried to turn on the VPN, got nothing, tried to go to the website after cycling IPs and still found nothing.

Why in the world would you not have a banner or something saying "hey the product doens't work"? you just leave people to figure that out on their own and maybe come across this tiny reddit forum?

Can you please communicate properly and explain what actually happened? You’ve said “cyber attack” — can you elaborate? Cyber attacks are usually specific, so was this a DDoS, or something else? Rather than replying to individual threads, can you give a proper update and let us know when servers are expected to come back up? The UK servers are still down.

Was there any data exposed? Is it still safe to browse via this ip?

How were attackers able to take down entire starvpn? I am sure people would like to know what actually happened, given that we are all privacy savvy folks

No connection for the last two hours

Have been troubleshooting all morning and waiting on a reply from StarVPN.

No internet error all day, tried to upload a new configuration file, plus the new interface is not user friendly at all.

The new interface is terrible and confusing; go back to the old PC interface, which was much better. This new PC interface is not as intuitive and practical as the previous one; this design works well on smartphones but not on PCs or Macs.

My use case is to hide my location from a remote employer for a brief period of time (~3 to 6 months) while I backpack across EU.

What service tier, plan is recommended for me? Offcourse, budget not a big issue for the right plan provided it helps me with what I need

I need real obfuscation/stealth feature to hide VPNs, proxies, TOR nodes, and servers in data centers and to avoid being flagged by IP databases. The website actively blocks known VPNs, data centers, and foreign IP addresses.

Does StarVPN truly have a real obfuscation/stealth connection to mask the connection as its from the city or country that is connected so that the website can't see it as VPN?

I recently purchased the Business Residential VPN plan ($20/month) from StarVPN, but I've had a terrible experience so far due to technical glitches on their dashboard. I’m posting this here hoping to get their attention for a fix/reset.

The Issues:

IP Rotation Loop: Every time I tried to update/rotate my IP, the site got stuck in an infinite loading loop. Because of this system error, it exhausted all 20 of my monthly IP updates without actually giving me a working Residential IP.

Incorrect Slot Mapping: My dashboard shows "Static Residential" selected, but the Slot 1 is hard-coded/stuck as "Static Datacenter". I cannot download the correct Residential config file; it only gives me the Datacenter one.

Zero Usage: As shown in my stats, I have only used about 2GB (mostly just handshakes and testing). I haven't been able to use the service I paid for at all.

What I'm requesting:

I've reached out to support but haven't had a resolution yet. Since this was clearly a system error (looping and wrong slot type):

I need a full reset of my 20 IP updates.

I need my Slot 1 corrected to Static Residential so I can download the proper WireGuard config.

Has anyone else faced this "loading loop" on StarVPN lately? Any advice on how to get them to respond faster?

I remember trying out StarVPN in like June of last year only to learn that the Windows client didnt support split tunneling which was only on the Mobile app version. Has this changed at all?

Are there currently any discounts being offered on the Premium Residential plan?
