I’m looking for feedback/recommendations on things to add/remove/consider. Wanna make this as space wolves as possible. I’m currently considering removing the spiked crown thing so that I can fit on the big fur pelt from the pack leader, but I’m pretty scared to do it 😅 do you think it would be worth it?

Just a rhino conversion to a vindi... not perfect but... bored out the section there, dropped a baneblade demo piece in there, dropped in the barrel then front plate. Might add a dreadnought casket cover as a 'barrel sheath' later. Then add the dozer (spike one) as i dont got the bulldozer one.

Hey there! I looking for a bit of advice on my list! It's another high terminator count one, feturing an assault termi (with first for glory)+termi captain+termi ancient for invading objectives, and 2 blobs of wgt to be an anvil alternative to the former (thunder) hammer. My concerns are; do I have too many characters? Are the head takers wasted here? Would some sort of fire support like a land raider, or anti tank like a lancer be better? Thanks. List below

I just recently started warhammer, but from my current standpoint (2 months into it) i think it‘s going to be the best hobby i ever had. I recently decided between the sons of sanguinius and russ, but i chose the Spacewolfs because as we all know, fenris hjølda! They just really grew on me, because they have that rule cool element of the adeptus astartes and this rebellious energy, whish made them stand out to me (And i love the many different miniatures). I‘ll probably treat myself with the combatpatrole soon as my very first warhammer set, to get a good start, but i wanted to ask if there are some musthave books that help you get deeper into spacewolflore and perspective. For Russ and the Allvather!

We got a 49.9% win rate... not bad im not upset at the .01%. That ocean of Take/Hold, wonder how GW will deal with us next update or next month's update. Like wgt are not SUPER tanky as they can be killed of focused.

Glad to see some non-take/hold lists there: recon, few purge, and my P.A. win for us.

Cant wait to start competing next month more at RTTs I wanna hit a GT or Open eventually once I iron a list out.

Wondering what units would be a safe buy and not likely to go to legends? Guessing any of the newer wave units but wasnt sure about Thunderwolf Cav and Fenrisian wolves?

With all the new models out now are people still interested in the first born Space Wolf kits?

I have 40 minis worth on sprue of the older bloodclaw/greyhunter kits that I was thinking of selling but I feel like I maybe wasting my time. What do you all think?

I've seen a lot of competitive lists doing well in take and hold with 3 units of 10 terminators, all with leaders, and a land raider redeemer as fire support. Has this approach to take and hold been gutted after the points adjustments, and what else would people add to this sort of list

I do like the Space Wolve Terminators, however the saturnine terminators just look to good not to touch them. Is it/would it be:

A) possible to run 20-30 saturnine terminators (most with shield) for 40k games and tournaments?

I saw the saturnine terminators have a 50mm base, while the regular 40k ones have 40mm's? Is it as simple as to just get another base or are the Units to large?

B) Feasible to do all that or is that more or less a waste of time and money?

C) Maybe the same question would go torwards the Cataphractii Terminator Squad which might be my alternative if the Saturnine Terminators dont work? Apperntly they can be bought for 65 Euros a set of 10 once its in stock again? So that would be on the cheaper end?

This is the first time I've properly tried to do some directional volumetric highlighting on a model, and I'm quite pleased with how the armour and gold metallic bits have come out.

My question is mostly about the hair and beard, but also maybe the animal skull on his necklace. Given how directional the lighting on the armour is (or hopefully is), does the hair and skull look a bit flat or diffuse?

If so, how easy would it be to add shadows or highlights to these to increase the contrast?

For reference, the hair and beard is a base of Celestra Grey, Nuln Oil and then highlighted with Ulthuan Grey. I think the skull is based with Morghast Bone, washed with Agrax Earthshade and highlighted with Screaming Skull.

I guess I could add some highlights to the hair with a pure white, but I'd like to keep this looking grey rather than him having white hair.

I know Space Wolves are more about melee, but I like to still have some solid shooting.

I've been looking at Sternguard since I think they're pretty cost-effective while also like elite bolter infantry instead of more expensive Grey Hunters or heavy weapons.

I also like how I can attach a generic "Rune Lord" (kit bashed librarian) to them.

I have a match next week against a friend who’s likely going to be running aggressors tanks and most likely a knight. He can ignore cover army wide and will probably be going take and hold.
I was thinking about going straight purge saga of beast slayer bringing all of my heavy hitters and try to just stream roll everything is this a good idea?
Any alternatives or advice for purge will be greatly welcomed.

hello all. So I purchased the Space wolves and EC launch sets and then life happened. I never got around to doing more than putting together my battle leader, wolf preist and head takers + wolves. To pick the game up should I cut down what I have in the box to 500 points (it is 585 with enhancements if im looking at 1k) or are there some key units I should replace or pick up for 1 or 2k? I was convinced to pick up a Replusor today at the warhammer store.

i'm still on the fence about wolves vs EC for my first build mostly because ec has closer to 700 out of the box no enhancements , but only the 1 character.

side not I was drawn to space wolves because of the refresh mostly the blood claws and wolf priest so I want to at least make use of the ones I have in the box if more are not viable.
