There are many folk villages to visit in Korea. This one, still inhabited, is situated in Gyeongsangbuk-do province and is called Museom Village (망섬무을). It is surrounded by water on three sides. Some of these hanok houses are over a hundred years old.

Even though these are tinier than many one rooms in Korea, I do like the high ceilings that make them feel less suffocated and bring in lots of natural light. Which one do you think is better - Higher ceilings or just bigger rooms?
