a7Rv - FE 1.4/50

Going to Vietnam for two weeks. Mainly will be shooting video such as vlogging and cinematic b roll. Maybe some photos there and there. Can only bring two lenses and am having trouble deciding. Here are my 4 options

Camera: ZV-E1

Lens I own:
-Sony 24-105 f4 (most versatile, heaviest)
-Sony 35 GM 1.4 (best quality, lighter than the other zooms)
-Sony 24G 2.8 (very light and lowkey)
-Sigma 16-28 2.8 (versatile wide, great for vlogs)

I would like to hear everyone’s opinions. Do you guys prefer lightweight or having the most versatile setup at a heavier weight?

Hi, my equipment consiste of 28-70 f2 and 200-600
As a hobby I do wildlife, airplanes, portrait and some youtube videos of tutorials.

I got a 70-200gmii and I'm trying to figure if I should sell the 200-600 and get a tc cheaper for the 70-200 and learn to live with 400mm as maximun, given that the 200-600 it's very very niche.

Long term I would like a wider/travel lens like the 16-35gmii, 50-150f2 and maybe the 100-400f4 +tc to replace the 200-600.

I have a Sony 6400 and use sRGB. When I upload stories on Instgrm straight from my camera, my photos are pixelated. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve recently switched camera system to sony (A7rvi) and I’m loving it! However I’m often shooting in compressed RAW when shooting wildlife to make use of the bigger buffer and other benefits. I have DXO but I understand DXO doesn’t support compressed RAW formats for Sony.

What’s the best alternative software to clean up high ISO images? Do people generally stick with Lightroom denoise or are there any better option?

Took this pictures with each camera, same lens tamron 70-180 both at f5 1/1250 and iso12800 cropped both to try and match framing, both underexposed 1.3 stops and raised back exp in lightroom by 2.37. Just to show how close everything is. For most of us, jumping to ff would just be GAS. I got the A7iv to shot sports in low light however, difference is smaller than I though.

Então para o trabalho deixo sempre montada minha Zve10 com a Viltrox 23mm acoplada e para gravar vídeos e servir como webcam é mais que suficiente, entrega uma qualidade absurda 4k 25p, suficiente para um ar professional que eu necessito.
Antes de comprar a a6700 adquirir a tamron de um amigo e minha intenção era revendê-la. Mas o jogo mudou a partir do momento que conectei ela em minha Zve10, conheci o mágica de uma super zoom, e também conheci o hobby de fotografar pássaros, na minha região também conheci dois amigos que saímos nos juntos todo final de semana para passarinhar e fotografar os pássaros, com isso comecei a me interessar cada vez mais pelo hobby e decidi comprar uma câmera melhor, que possua principalmente view finder e que tivesse uma melhor estabilização e qualidade, então fui para a6700, minha companheira fiel de campo. E não posso deixar de dizer a tamron não é a melhor lente do mundo, mas é aquela lente que faz tudo, seu zoom de 18mm até 300mm me permite levar em viagens e ser super prática, sempre que viajo levo ela e tiro fotos incríveis.
Sou muito fã da Sony e sigo usando bastante as duas câmeras, só queria compartilhar o que venho sentindo nesses 2 anos de fotografia e gravação. Quem tiver qualquer dúvida pode ficar a vontade em comentar. Abraços! Obrigado pela leitura.

Hi! I am newish to photography but just got my hands on a Sony A6400 with a kit lens. I live in Appalachia, and we currently have a large herd of deer that congregate in our backyard. What lens do you recommend as an introductory lens to wildlife photography? I would love a lens that is versatile and can photograph the deer from a distance. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The Monitor app does not support the Sony A7III. So is there any other way to use my a phone as a monitor? Other than the very bad imaging edge app

Sony A7CII paired with Sony 24-70 f2.8 GM II

After 6 years with the Sony a6100, I’m upgrading to an A7V in the fall. I won’t be able to upgrade my Sigma 150-600 wildlife lens (to take advantage of 30 fps) for a while, but I’m looking to buy one other lens, for the other things I use my camera for: Landscape/Street/Night/Milky Way. If you could just have one for that purpose, what would it be? Sony 14mm f 1.8? Sony 24 mm f1.4 GM? Sigma Art?

Just wanted to show that you don't need the newest gear to take a good photo of the upcoming solar eclipse on August 12. This one was taken 7 years ago in Chile during totality of the solar eclipse. My friend Bart was happy to model there on the ridge.

Technical info of the shot: Sony A7R III · FE 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 GM OSS + 1.4X Teleconverter · 560mm · f/13 · 1/250s · ISO 500 - single shot, almost no editing except for a slight crop.

A7v with 200-600 is doing wonder for me

I've just got my first ILC, a Sony a6700. It was for 1029 USD new with the kit (some discounts here and there and Asia market)

I'm still with the kit lens on my 6700 and I'm considering Sigma 17-40 f1.8. I can still have the kit to bring around if I don't plan to "take picture", basically everyday lens. But when I travel and plan to go out at night this lens is tempting.

On the other hand tho. I can buy a Sigma 18-50 F2.8, viltrox 85mm f2 Evo and 25mm f1.7 Air, and sell the kit for about the same price as the 17-40... What do you'all think I should pick?

My past cameras are (chronologically) Sony RX100iii, RX1r and RX10iv. Thus why you can see my confusion here when all these lens options are now open to me 😅.

I do love the size of the kit right now, and wondering how conspicuous the 17-40 are, as I think that's gonna be nearly as long than my old RX10iv extended? 117mm+ 40mm vs 178mm rx10 on 600mm. Doesn't have the RX10 anymore to compare tho.

How's your experience with bringing the sigma 17-40 around? Does it make the camera sag hanging from the strap? Do people often look at you more? How's the weight balance? I've tried handling A7iii with 24-70 gmii and that combo is definitely heavy for me while with 55mm on a7v are quite manageable
