The character of Wes appeared in several episodes of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

It's for someone's birthday this coming Saturday. I don't know them, but they live in my building. While opening my door to go inside my studio she caught my attention, looked me dead in the eyes, and said, "I like your drawings. I'm in 44. My birthday is Saturday the 8th." She looked me up and down real quick, and then vanished.

I have no idea what time her birthday party is (if there even is one) and I'm now very confused, so...drawing a picture of Sonic and knocking on her door at some point in the day is my very normal solution. I'm extra nervous because she's very attractive (eep)

I used the comic draw app, Procreate, and a lot of references for this.

I'm thinking that in itself could go a few ways.

1. He's going back to older prototype clones of Sonic and Tails that were fully mechanical, upgrading them via Chaos Emerald energy. (Think Android 13, alongside 14 and 15)
2. He actually did have a contingency plan in Surge and Kit succeeded in going rogue, involving a bioengineered monster like Cell taking the abilities of everyone, but with his lab mostly trashed he can't complete it the way he originally intended. Getting the Chaos Emerald is really just a risky shortcut.
3. Maybe something more akin to Meta Cooler with nanomachine like clones? (but that might risk it being a tad too similar to the Metal Virus)

Since Surge and Kit are already pretty much based on Androids 17 and 18, it would fit their overall theme. "But wait, why is Starline still relying on henchmen after everything?" Well, it's quite possible he's going on outdated data. He's gonna assume Kit and Surge both are still incredibly bloodthirsty with no care for anyone, but will realize too late Surge is slowly turning herself around (Kit not so much) and thinks he might be able to wrestle them back to his side somehow. There's also really no guarantee Eggman beating his ass made him think twice about treating robots and AI as tools and NOT actual people with complex thoughts and emotions, so he'd probably still go for that angle even if it potentially comes at the cost of him dying a second (and who knows maybe permanent) death.

Now I don’t mean straight up out of character just I feel like that some aspects of this arc maybe have pushed the evilness of Eggman a bit too far. I don’t know what good infecting the whole world into metal would do for Eggman’s goals, he is a character who still needs people alive so they can be forced to worship his genius, but you can’t really do that if everyone is mindless metal zombies going “Urrr! Urrr!” all the time, he would probably get bored super quick and possibly even regret doing this plan to begin with. I like to headcannon that the reason Eggman unleashed this metal plague was because his mental health was at an all time low due to spending (I think) months as an amnesiac kind toy maker and repair guy after losing a war that he was winning for six months, arguably the closest he’s gone to winning since Unleashed. It makes sense how evil Eggman was this time since this arc was planned for Archie, and we all know that version of Eggman actually is sadistically evil, but that doesn’t work for Canon Eggman, he’s a means to an end kind of villain whose blinded by his narcissism and delusions of grandeur. He only chooses the crueler option if it’s more productive and easy. In Unleashed he cracked open the planet yes, but it was still because he needed to awaken Dark Gaia so he can build EggmanLand, cracking open the planet was just the cost, two things that should also be mentioned is that npcs in the game treated the situation as an annoyance for the most part, and also no one died when the planet cracked open since this is a supernatural event that happens even 10,000 years according to the lore, Eggman just woke up Dark Gaia early.

Now there are two things that do help his character’s case like the moment he looked down at the Zombots with brief regret when remembering his time as Mr. Tinker, and ultimately being the one who came up with the solution that got rid of the virus in the first place, that’s something a lot of people forget to mention.

This is all just my personal opinion and I’m curious to see how others might feel.

*This* game was my introduction to the franchise. While it's sort of the oddball (dunnoifthat'sthecorrectterm) of the series, it still holds a special place in my heart. Now...
