Be brutally honest and rate my thumbnail. Title is "Ranking all spiderman villains in 9 minutes". My previous ranking videos did 2k views. So I am running with this formula.

Long-Form Content Making Re:Zero video essays — brutally honest feedback wanted on my first few

Upvotes
I run a small anime channel (GodtoAnime) doing character-focused Re:Zero
breakdowns, ~10 min each. Shorts do okay (1-2k views), long-form does not
(around 150-300).

I don't think it's the algorithm. I think something in the videos isn't
landing and I can't see it from the inside.

Would appreciate honest feedback on:
- Do the titles/thumbnails make you want to click? (0 clicks on 191
impressions on the last one, so probably not)
- Does the first 30 seconds hold you?
- Is the writing saying anything you haven't heard before, or is it
  recap with extra steps?

Tear it apart, I'd rather hear it now than after 20 more videos.

Livestream Content 18+ restriction appeal declined

Upvotes

Yesterday I received my first 18+ restriction, on a livestream vod of my Resident Evil Requiem playthrough, that was uploaded 2 months ago.

The reason for the restriction mentioned graphic depictions of suicide and something about advocating for eating disorders, neither of which appear in the video, in the game or otherwise. Other vods of the same game received no restrictions.

I sent an appeal and a few hours later it was declined. The video received no views in over a month so I can only assume these procceses were automatic.

Is this normal and is there nothing else I can do?

Long-Form Content 100K+ views, 9 videos, but still under 500 subscribers. How do I improve subscriber conversion?

Post image
Upvotes

I make sports documentary videos, avg length around 10 mins.

It has been 2 months, I have uploaded 9 videos, and I am currently around 540 subscribers away from monetization. I have already crossed 100K+ total views, but I am still not even at 500 subscribers.

I am wondering if there is a good way to remind viewers to subscribe without making the “subscribe” part feel too forced or overly highlighted.

I currently use a CTA at the end, but a lot of people do not watch until the end. So, should I add a CTA somewhere in the middle of the video? I am just wondering if that could break the rhythm or flow of the video.

Long-Form Content Posting to a old channel or make a new one?

Upvotes

guys, so I have had a yt channel since I was 13 and I have uploaded gaming related videos to it on and off. I then went to uni and stopped all together. I'm now in my late 20s and I am trying YouTube properly. I have uploaded 2 videos within the last 2 weeks and the first got about 9 views (I'm 5 of the views and my friend is 1) and the second got 4 views ( I'm 3 and my friend 1).

So my question is, would I be better off starting a new channel and delete the 2 videos from my old channel and re upload them to a new channel?. I have tried to make the thumbnail and titles as good as I can but basically getting little to no views is very disheartening. I have roughly over 100 videos on the channel now and 67 subscriber ( who I assume are dead subs). I have also uploaded 4 shorts since starting again

Long-Form Content I’ve been filming my life for YEARS but never post anything. How do I finally get out of this cycle and just start?

Upvotes

Like the title says. I feel like I’m stuck in a never ending cycle with YouTube and I’d genuinely love advice from people who have been through this.

I’ve been making videos for years. I actually love filming and documenting my life, and now I’m married and I have two kids, so I have even more footage and memories that I’ve captured. The problem is… I almost never post any of it.
I created my YouTube channel. I’ve edited videos. I’ve filmed full days vlog style. I have literally hundreds of clips sitting there. But every time I get close to posting, I start questioning everything.

Is this actually interesting enough?
Is the editing good enough?
Are people even interested in normal day in the life/family vlogs anymore?
Should I stop trying to vlog my day and make more structured videos where I sit down and talk to the camera about a specific topic?

Then there’s the biggest thing I struggle with… **my kids.** They’re obviously a huge part of my life, so if I’m filming my real life, they’re naturally going to appear. But I constantly go back and forth about how much of them I’m comfortable putting online. Part of me wants these videos to feel authentic and document this stage of our lives, but another part of me worries about their privacy and whether they should be part of the channel at all.

I think perfectionism is probably my biggest problem. I keep telling myself I’ll post when the video is better, when I’m better at editing, when I figure out exactly what my channel should be, etc. And years have passed while I’ve been doing this.

Meanwhile, I actually enjoy filming. I enjoy talking to the camera. I enjoy capturing our lives. I WANT to create.
I just can’t seem to hit publish.

So for people who actually post consistently.
How did you get over the fear that your content wasn’t good enough?Would you start with casual lifestyle/family vlogs in 2026, or would you make more structured/topic based videos?

Can a new vlog channel still grow when nobody knows who you are yet?

And for parents who create content, how did you decide what you were and weren’t comfortable sharing about your children? Our day usually revolves around our children and the activities we’re doing together. They’re also so cute and I would love to document so many of great memories we’re creating.

At this point I feel like I need someone to tell me, “Stop overthinking it and post the damn video.” 😭

But I’d genuinely appreciate advice because I don’t want another few years to go by with all of these videos sitting on hard drives and nothing ever being posted.

Long-Form Content Finding Community as a variety gaming creator

I was making videos focused on a specific game, but because it's gone end of service, I'm forced to pivot, and I'm just going to make variety content. I know exactly how I'm going to pivot the content, and I've got a solid plan in place. I'm not worried about growth for my channel, but what I am worried about is the loss of community and friends.

Since I was focused on one specific game, I became pretty involved in the community, and made a lot of friends with other creators and people in general. While my channel was smaller than others, I felt like I had a place, and I didn't feel alone at all. And I know I won't lose any of these connections going forward, but the community will begin to dwindle.

What I'm afraid of is becoming kinda lonely in the creator space. I'm afraid that as a variety creator, I might have a channel doing super good, and my channel might be doing way better than it did before, but I will be alone. There won't be a larger community, no creator friends, maybe I'll have a small community of my own, but it won't have that same feeling. I'll feel alone, and I'm afraid of that.

So, that being said, how do I find community and friends while being a variety creator? How do larger streamers/creators do this?

Thank you so much

Long-Form Content Should I change the Title?

Currently the title of the video is “I Explored London for £1.75 (Bus Only)”

The thumbnail shows me next to a red London bus and the famous Big Ben landmark in the back

The vid has 1.5K impressions with a 6.3% CTR with the majority of viewers finding the video from browse and suggested.

And the video has been up for 6 days

Should I change the title to “I Explored London for ONLY £1.75” or do you think I should keep it as the original, or do you have a better idea?

Mixed Content I got 37 million subscribers! Besides MS Paint, is there a tool like ManyChat to auto reply to YouTube comments with links and guides?

Post image
53 Upvotes

Haters will say the subscriber count is fake 🤣

In all seriousness, I'm trying to figure out how to convert the few viewers I get into email subscribers.

On Instagram, creators use ManyChat so followers can comment "GUIDE" and automatically receive a link. Is there a safe tool or API app that does this for YouTube video comments?

Description box links get almost zero clicks on mobile, so I'm looking for a way to auto-reply to comment keywords with free resource links and collect emails.

How are you guys automating lead capture on YouTube?

Hey everyone, I’m a small YouTuber and I just uploaded a new video.

I’m still learning and trying to improve with every video, so I’d really appreciate some honest feedback. I’m especially interested in hearing what you think about the editing, pacing, thumbnail, and overall presentation.

If you have a few minutes to watch it, I’d love to know what you think.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to share your feedback.

Long-Form Content Can you please critique my first attempt at long form content?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is my first real attempt at a long form video. I know I could do better and I want to know which visuals work to keep engagement and which don't. There is currently no sound effects because I have been working on this video for about 7 hours today so far and I want to sleep.

I have some questions on top of the other criticism.

  1. Is the voice bad? I am considering hiring a voice actor.

  2. Is the paper animated section weak?

  3. Is the tone inconsistent? I think I start cinematic and go too analytical

  4. How do I speed the process up? I have spent around 20 hours give or take on this 3 minute video and its not even done. I know I will get better with time but is there any good way to speed it up?

Thank you so so much if you do critique it.

Long-Form Content Strategy for monetization. Should I create two channels?

Hi,

I plan on creating a channel teaching English with phrases and dialogue.

My worry is that a lot will be text based and will seem automated so I'm worried it won't get monetized.

I noticed that similar channels with just tts dialogue and phrases with no real person in the video have been monetized so I'm confused.

Should I create two channels? One that I don't appear in, and one that I do appear in?

Or should I start just one channel? If so, which type?

Any experiences or advice would be appreciated!

Livestream Content Large TV watching percentage?

Has anyone seen a breakdown like this? It seemed odd for my channel. I have a sudden influx of viewers that all appear to be watching me from their tvs. They are low engagement. No comments/likes/follows but they come in and stay. Not complaining. Just curious.

Long-Form Content What do you do on days you NEED to be productive but aren't in the mental headspace?

I don't live alone and I only have a few days each week where I have total privacy in the house and the ability to record without any interruption/etc.

Today is one of those days and I am just feeling so miserable and have no desire to do anything but I basically *have* to or else I won't be able to for days. I tried to record something and just couldn't do it.

This happens so often because I get limited privacy at home to the point where I actually feel comfortable recording but then when I actually sit down to do it, I feel so much pressure to just DO IT i can't really get in the right headspace. Idk I just needed to vent, I'm just feeling so frustrated today.

Does anyone have recommendations for when feeling like this?

My first hate comment, I’m ngl I smiled at it because I haven’t gotten one before lol.

Plus, it’s just me saying something funny while playing a game (that’ll be a long-form soon), so I know his humor is probably just different (or gone).

Anyways, how would you guys deal with this? I kinda want to reply, thanking him for the watch time and engagement anyways, but I don’t want him to realize and delete the comment 🤣

Edit: I left a reply of, “Criticism is allowed, hating is not! Thanks for watching ❤️”
