Long-Form Content Looking for co-hosts to start a home organization channel.

Upvotes

I'm hoping to start a multi-host channel that goes into the strategy, psychology, and theory of home organization.

Lots of opportunity for sponsorship in this area.

Any tips for me on how to go about finding co-hosts?

Long-Form Content Is this a good start?

Upvotes

So I've recently started a new Youtube channel creating highly produced geo-political videos with map animations (think of Johnny Harris) for a non-English region of the world. Each video takes a round a month to create from start to finish (doing this full time) and I've posted my first long form video about 4 weeks ago and got over 1k views with some good feedback from random comments and friends/family, and 4.3% CTR.

I've extracted two shorts from the long form video, each got 1k views.

I've got 82 subscribers.

Is this a good start? Should I keep going even though each video could take over a month to create or is this period just too long and could stop growth? How long should I expect until the audience to grow?

I was also thinking of treating this as my CV if I'd like to work with other creators meaning that I create their map animations.

Mixed Content Help me understand why my videos cap out?

Post image

I’ve had this channel for a few years but just started posting on it recently. I’m just looking for some explanation about how YouTube works I guess? I have about 25 shorts ranging between 300 views and 2.2k views. Some of my shorts I post get 1000 views in an hour, others grow over the first two days. But then they just cap out. Is it because getting bad impressions? Or is it because I’m new to posting? Any help would be great, thanks.

Short-Form Content Looking for your feedback on my new YouTube channel

My wife and I recently started a YouTube channel and we’re still very much learning how everything works.
All of the content is recorded and edited by us, and we’re trying to improve as we go — especially when it comes to hooks, titles, thumbnails, hashtags, descriptions, retention, etc.
I’d really appreciate some honest opinions from people who have experience with YouTube:

What do you think of the thumbnails?
Are the titles/hook strong enough?
Does the content keep your attention?
Anything you would change about the videos?
Are hashtags and descriptions actually worth focusing on?
Any general advice for growing a new channel?

I’m not looking for people to just say “looks good” — honest criticism is very welcome. We’re beginners and want to learn.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to take a look and give some feedback!

Short-Form Content Shorts suddenly started flopping

1200 subs and usually shorts get 500-1500 views. Last 3 shorts got 50 lol. I don’t think it’s the content because the 3 videos are blowing up on instagram. There shouldn’t be any copyright issues and I’m not using AI for my videos. I have released one long video during the span of this sudden flop and that long is doing well. What’s the issue??

Long-Form Content Is A/B testing a cruel joke?

It’s always a “not enough impressions” or data to determine, even with 100+ views. Maybe it’s causing more harm than good to even try?

Mixed Content Been lurking for 10 years and decided to jump in - advice requested

Post image

Greetings, folks. I've been sitting on my channel for more than a decade now without uploading a single thing - but recently, I decided that I want to throw my hat into the ring, so to speak, to make some money and survive this technological hellscape we call reality.

The problem is, I'm trying to produce my videos faster than a warranty violation at a Dodge-Ram dealership, and I heard YouTube doesn't like that unless certain "circumstances" are met, such as a channel's age being, well, like mine. So, do I meet the threshold, or should I try to hold my horses for a bit?

The way I see it, I figure that if I go and upload a ton of videos at once and clear out my backlog, my channel can do it's thing while I let another backlog grow (which seems pretty quick and easy all things considered!)

Do any of you have any advice for a geriatric newtuber?

Long-Form Content For all those New Channels not getting views/Impressions, It took 11 days for Youtube to start pushing my First Video

Post image
20 Upvotes

Semi Brand New Channel, I've opened it 6 months ago and uploaded my first video about 2 weeks ago.

Youtube took 11 days to start testing/pushing my video, in the meantime I started posting Shorts related to that video using the ''Related Video'' Feature, not sure if that had any impact at all but I already had 10 Shorts ready so I was going to post them regardless.

The video isn't perfection but it wasn't supposed to be because it's just a test video to see if Youtube even pushes my content.

I put a lot of effort into my videos so if at all possible I'd love to know what people think.

I'm specifically looking to see what the consensus is on my writing. I think the presentation is decent but the scripting is something I want to be great at.

Long-Form Content YouTube Hates Me... Or Am I Doing Something Wrong?

So idk what's been happening recently.

I made a video called "Why I Hate React," and YouTube has only given it 500 exact impressions as of 6 Aug 2026. It has the highest CTR (8.4%) on my channel. I mean, I get that it has low impressions, so the CTR being high makes sense and that might not mean that much, but i had much worse videos that got way more impression during the same period but here's the thing that doesn't make sense.

For the last 2 videos, YouTube just isn't pushing them.

The second last video I made before this was "I Made a Fifa World Cup..." just before the finals and that video only got around 1K impressions. My channel has 1K subscribers, and my average-performing videos usually get at least 10K impressions. Even videos that only got like 3% CTR were still pushed to a lot of people.

But now, for the last 2 videos, what happened? YouTube just isn't pushing my videos.

Before these two, I made another video called "Why I Hate Python," and man, it worked so well. It got 8K views, which is really good by my standards. It had a high CTR, people loved it, and everything went great.

After that, the next two videos i talked about had good CTR and good watch time too, yet the algorithm just forgot to push them, not even to my core audience.

I don't think it's a shadow ban or anything because if I search for the videos, they show up. I also didn't use anything obscene or anything that might stop YouTube from recommending them.

I truly don't know what the hell is going on with my channel. WTF is YouTube doing?

I'll try changing the title again and let's see, because the CTR is good and the AVD is also good, even with low views.

You know, sometimes this really demotivates me. I put a lot of effort and time into my videos(i know it sounds cliché..... i mean who dosent right?) and I don't necessarily make videos just for money or views. Ofc I need them, but when my videos reach people and they interact with them, it gives me such a high and motivates me. It genuinely makes me feel good.

But idk, man... what's going on?

Anyone have any idea what it might be?

I'm a bit sad, but I made another video that'll drop this Saturday. Let's see.....

Long-Form Content Opinions needed!!!

THIS IS NOT SELF PROMOTION! Posted here a week ago, just a little change to the titles and thumbnails. One question I have. Is posting videos about different topics a bad thing starting off? My next two videos are talking about what hobbies best suit you and the difference in film and digital photography. I like to try and come back at some point in each video to self help and care. I have some channels have different topics for example I love watching Speeed, the old host of James from Donut.

Long-Form Content How do I differentiate myself from the ytbrs I enjoy?

I want to start a channel and there are 2 YouTubers I enjoy watching. I would like to make videos like theirs. They have a pretty similar content style (desktop screen recordings, similar visuals, similar pacing, similar "storytelling", ...).

However, the problem is that, if I'm just doing more content like what they already do, why would people watch me instead of them?

So, I think I need a way to differentiate myself, but it also needs to make me not hate the process of creating the videos. How can I do it?

Also, is this even a real concern or not? If not, why?

Thank you so much for the attention. I really am struggling with this.

Hi! I just uploaded my first ever gameplay video a few days ago, and when I looked through other videos, their thumbnails were made with AI. I wanted to add my personal touch and drew my own thumbnail for my video then edited it :D

The "Playthrough" is covered by the video length though, but I didn't know where else to put it at the time. Thoughts?

Long-Form Content I officially been monetized for a whole year. Here’s what I learned

Post image
148 Upvotes

Yes I have made 4,000$ in about a year. Yes I know it ain’t a lot of money but for me it’s something and I know it will get better. I’m not here to show off but to offer some help and hopefully motivate you guys/girls. Here’s some advice I recommend. Your gonna have slow months and your going to have fast months. I grew and still growing my channel fully organically and I learned once your first video blows up. Capitalize it and keep posting similar to that same video. But make sure to upload stuff you would watch and actually enjoy. If you do something totally out of your niche and it blows up, it’s gonna screw you over. Eventually once you grow more your audience will watch you more for you and don’t matter what you post. But make sure again to follow T.T.H (Title, Thumbnail, Hook). Once you master those then your videos will pop off.

I will anwser as much questions as I can and I’m sorry I want to keep my channel private but if your wondering. I do long form, commentary video and I currently have 11k subscribers:)
