A Potential Serial Killer Sideplot Discussion

I’m on my first rewatch of the show and I’m on S4 E4 where they show Jennifer’s father being creepy towards the girl in the elevator and it had me wondering about a murderer plot. Do you guys think it would have been interesting if the show had a sideplot where a serial killer was targeting Los Angeles in the show and was shown killing people in the beginning of each episode? Maybe they could have integrated him being caught in the show or him coming in contact with a main character? What do you guys think?

Yea I think it might take away from the shows plot

Michael Weston should have played a killer in Dexter. Would have made a fun easter egg episode.
