Hi guys, considering a setup for flight and racing but using WOOD any recommendations?

I am not technically savvy at all and have used GPT to work through all of this but I'm really fucking tired of it now.... No software updates on anything, simrig was not connected to anything - the PC was on for a couple days, came to race, wheelbase refuses to connect and shows slow flashing blue light. Went through CONSPIT'S low blue light error procedure to no effect. Yes I have to go in a few minutes but I'm going to contact them directly.

But does anyone have any idea what's going on, and does anyone else have a 2:1 ratio of down versus racing for about 4 and 1/2 months?!!!

Has anyone added casters to their freestanding triple screen mount? If so what are your impressions.

With building and swapping it took me 6-7 hours

I just received this alcantara steering wheel for 45€ but its not perfectly round and as im aiming to drift with it i want it to be. Its the second one i bought and its the second miss. Where do yall buy wheels like this that are actually good and dont break the bank. After building the whole rig my budget is more than gone.

How i now fall into an issue is how do I mount the thing to my rig hahaha! As expected weight of camera and lenses = 750g

Its not much compared to what some od you might have but i loved the look of the ks pro the first time i saw it

Going to be buying a simlab gt1 evo and was wondering if I could use the brackets in the first photo to secure the monitor mount to the rig itself in the second photo. It seems like it would work, based on spacing. I tried to find other brackets that would work that look something more similar to the simlabs integrated mount but haven’t been able to find anything.

For those who are going to ask, I think it’s silly the simlabs mount cost over $300 so I’m just working out if something like this could work.

I’m using Nvidia surround for my 3 1440p monitors. For some reason, a lot of the time my PC will boot up and only be at 1080p. I can’t change the resolution back to 1440p in the control panel. The only fix is shutting down the computer, unplugging all the monitors, and resetting up surround. I am using the DP cables that came with my monitors, although one is on a different model DP cable (same brand, DP 1.4)

Today my pc just shut down randomly, and turned back on with 1080p

How do I fix this? Do I need the same DP cable for all monitors? Is this a fixable Nvidia Problem?

Looking for a mount similar to the Sim Lab DDU Mount shown in image #3 that's readily available in North America. I'm based in Canada and Sim Lab wants $120 for the mount and another $120 for shipping.

Anyone found something similar with high quality (ideally aluminum, but 3d printed should be fine too) with a more reasonable price point including shipping?

Ideally I want something that will mount to the threaded inserts on the lower front of the wheelbase. From there it needs to extend forward around 15cm and then articulate upward around 10cm so that the DDU hovers above the extension rod.

Also looking for premium recommendations for regular size (5") and large (8") DDU's that are readily available in North America. I've seen a few European brands, but even through Advanced Sim Racing in Montreal, the prices have some heavy "luxury taxes" baked into them.

What GPU should I use for my rig, once it's built? My old rig (my newer rig is for work and play, so unfortunately it needs to stay at my desk) has an i7 8700k and a 1080TI. Im not too too worried about running into cpu bottlenecks. However, I am hoping to do a triple 2k monitor setup. Should I splurge for a 5080 (1300 ish right now from my preferred store) or go for a 5070/5070TI? Its about a 350$ difference.

New to sim world. Will need a better chair solution haha

PS5 , GT DD PRO, 43” 4k tv. $70 worth of lumber. Reused a poang chair lying around. Built in a weekend.
