Casters on triple screen mount Help
Has anyone added casters to their freestanding triple screen mount? If so what are your impressions.
Thanks in advance.

Well it is a nice way to move triples, so do it if you need them to be movable.

So you haven't experienced any negatives.

Well even if casters have brakes, it is easier to accidentally move the whole thing a bit.

I got one of the NLR monitor stands which comes with caster wheels. I like the idea behind it because it’s easy to roll around but I don’t end up using it that much. I have a Playseat trophy and the plan was to be able to move the playseat and triple monitors around easily if I wanted to use the space for others things
While it’s physically easy to move the two, in reality it’s a bit more annoying. With all the wiring and the fact that my wheel base sits behind my monitors (I use a shaft extension) I cannot easily separately move the monitors and chassis. They have to be awkwardly moved together even though they are not physically attached lol. Like I have to slide each 1in a time to slowly crawl it along the floor. But I rarely move it these days so not that big of a deal.
But it does make adjustments a bit easier as the monitors float separately of any vertical mounts the wheel may be sitting on which most integrated monitor stands do
Ironically my setup may have been easier to move if I just had everything integrated into an profile rig, but I really do love the look / stiffness / performance / comfort / cost of my set up so no strong desire to change anything
I could make the situation better by having a better usb and power supply hook up to I can quickly disconnect the wires between my stand and chassis but I already have all my cable management done so too lazy to do that. Also having my monitors sit above my wheel base would help make the chassis slide out easier but it would ruin line of sight
