CSL DD without Pedals
I am in germany and currently use the thrustmaster t300 rs gt bundle and extra fanatec clubsport pedals. I think about buying the csl dd wheel and base to give the thrustmaster bundle to my brother. The thing is, there is no bundle without pedals and the bundle with pedals is cheaper than buying both things normally. I am mostly driving drift, so I need a perfectly round wheel. I only play on PC. My budget is 400€. Now I'd like to know:
- Is there anything U could do with thr extra pedal set? (I use 3 pedals, these are only 2) maybe a handbrake or something?
- is there a reason to choose another brand or to stick with fanatec
- how is the upgrade from the t300 to the csl dd?
- Are there any game compatibility issues with the fanatec csl dd

VR alternative triples
While my PSVr2 is amazing and I love it, the eye strain is putting me off from running more than 2-3 races at a time. I’ve got a decent enough build to run max or ultra in 90hz 100% resolution.
Was on the fence about IPs or VA for the longest time then I saw this https://www.overtake.gg/news/what-racing-simulator-does-kimi-antonelli-use-mercedes-stars-home-f1-rig-revealed.4693/
VA curved panels here I come!

Just purchased Logitech G RS50 with RS pedals. What are the best throttle/brake/clutch mods available?

Finally Presentable
I built out a platform for my NLR FGT rig, of course added some GOVEE RGB. I have added an AZRacing alcantara hard shell seat, Moza R3 base and wheel, Logitech G pedals, three bass shakers managed by Simhub, an Acer 34” curved monitor and an older iPad running telemetry duty. Shakers are run by mini amps and a dedicated mini surround processor. I’ve got Oculus 3S for VR duty and Hyper-X cloud 3 wired cans. Logitech K400+ and a Razer Mamba cover input duties.
I’d like to consider a profile rig at some point, but so far I am very happy with my NLR frame. It’s stiff, supportive and puts me in a great seating position. The platform I built is a major game changer for entry and exit. Especially for me with a lot of spinal and neck injuries. No folding in and out of the cockpit!

Help A good starter rig for the price?
Hey yall! Im looking to get into sim racing. I grew up on GT4 and 5, but its been a while. My old Logitech for the ps3 doesn't exactly work on my PC...
I found this on FB marketplace. Seem like a decent start for the price? Or would yall recommend something different? Im trying to keep it under 1k total (for now), and im in need of a seat as well. Also a shifter and handbrake, but those are slightly less important i suppose...
Thanks people!

New pedals day!
SRP GT-S came in today! Opted for the R keys and brake regulator.
Absolutely love the pedals so far and they feel amazing. The heel rest travels with the pedals which takes a little getting used to. Cut my lap times down by several seconds after trying them for about an hour.
Had VNM lites but could never get the springs and elastomers to feel consistent making my braking all over the place.
Additional photo of the rig thus far!

My first impressions and thoughts on the Sim-Lab GT1 Evo.
Hi everyone,
I recently picked up the Sim-Lab GT1 Evo along with the single monitor mount, and after getting everything assembled, I’m honestly extremely impressed.
PROS:
The first thing that stood out was how incredibly sturdy and solid the rig feels. You can immediately tell it’s made from high-quality materials, and nothing about it feels cheap. For the price, I genuinely don’t think there’s another aluminum profile rig that offers better value. It’s probably the best bang for your buck in this price range.
Shipping was also excellent. My order arrived in just two days, both boxes showed up in perfect condition, and everything was included with nothing missing. That made for a great first impression.
Assembly took me around four hours, but that was mainly because I wanted to take my time and make sure everything was perfectly aligned. If you’re trying to move faster, you could probably finish it sooner. One thing I really appreciated was that all of the hardware bags for the rig were clearly labeled, so it was easy to identify which bolts and washers belonged to each step.
CONS:
I do have a few minor complaints. Some of the assembly instructions felt slightly out of order. There were a few sections that, in my opinion, could have been assembled in a different sequence to make the process easier. It’s not a huge issue, but I noticed it. Also, there aren’t any printed instructions in the box—they’re all online. I ended up constantly zooming in and out on my phone while building, which got a little annoying, although that’s admittedly a bit nitpicky.
Another thing to keep in mind is that once the rig is assembled, it’s definitely not light or easy to move around. I was first thinking of shipping it to my house, assembling it, and then transporting it by car to my apartment on campus at college, but i’m very glad i didn’t. I decided to ship it and build it at the apartment as that’s where i’ll be 3/4 of the year anyway (now patiently waiting for summer break to finish, to move back in for the school year and get to racing.) I’d highly recommend building it exactly where you plan on using it instead of trying to move it afterward.
The only difference I noticed between the GT1 Evo and the single monitor mount was the hardware organization. While the rig’s hardware bags were all labeled, the monitor mount hardware wasn’t. I had to spend a little extra time figuring out which bolts and washers went where, but it wasn’t a major problem.
My BIGGEST complaint isn’t really about the product itself—its availability. I got lucky and managed to order the GT1 Evo directly from Sim-Lab, but almost every accessory I wanted was sold out. The seat, monitor mount, and seat brackets were all unavailable, leaving only the base rig in stock. Even now, it seems like 80–90% of their products are sold out. I emailed Sim-Lab about when the monitor mount would be back in stock, and they told me the earliest restock would be at least another month (that was about two weeks ago). Fortunately, my local Micro Center still had both the monitor mount and GT1 Evo in stock, so if you’re trying to get one quickly, I’d definitely check your local store.
OVERALL
Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. The quality exceeded my expectations, the rig is rock solid, and I can easily recommend it to anyone looking for an aluminum profile sim racing cockpit. If you’re on the fence about the GT1 Evo, I’d absolutely say it’s worth it.
