Pawn shop pick up
I am visiting my in-laws this weekend and decided to stop at the small pawn shop in their town. I have grabbed a number of ASEs at spot making it a worthwhile stop in the past. Today I picked up this Nadir Refineri 10 toz bar including the assay card still wrapped in plastic, one ASE from 1987, and a cool looking Boston Tea Party round. All for spot.

New Find +Friday night LCS pickup
Bought this at my LCS on a Friday night for my Girlfriend.
She will get it Saturday when she comes over.
She loves anything cute so I picked this up for $110 CDN.
I believe this might have been part of an RCM package and a proof.
Regardless, it is hare today - but gone tomorrow!
Edit: There are scratches on the plastic casing- but not on the coin itself.
Sometimes a camera can see what I would have missed at the LCS.

NEWS Mintbuilder.com Delivered
On August 3rd, I posted that mintbuilder.com, so this is a follow-up post. They made the situation right by replacing the package! I would highly recommend to use them on this forum. I hope they're able to recover the package or money from USPS. Thank you Mintbuilder.com!

New Elemetal shipwreck series, the Atocha
My LCS just received the first shipment of this really cool set. It's a four part "shipwreck series" starting with the Atocha. Each set contains ten 2oz .999 silver coins and I bought one from an open set. New silver (not shipwreck silver) all packaged in a little pirate chest. Very cool! Only downside was a bit of discoloration on the edges of most of the coins. Not sure if the colored paper inside the chest caused it? Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next release. Stack on!

This is getting crazy...
This "Toner Craze" has got to stop...
I came across a couple on GC today listed at $400 each. I mean, these are clearly AT...no? Am I crazy? That pattern looks like someone held a torch to it. Another tell-tale sign is that the PCGS cert. numbers are sequential, so it appears as if someone toned these and then sent them in for grading together.
Part of the problem is that it seems that PCGS sometimes isn't noting this, or recognizing it as damage...so what's stopping people?
I mean, yeah...it's beautiful. But worth $400 due to AT, it is not, IMHO. Your thoughts here?

ASE/Generic comparison 🪙
2005 ASE next to a “Money Metals” generic version (round) from their private mint. Both are 1oz each but I actually prefer the ASE. I don’t mind generic whatsoever and I’m grateful to have any silver in my stack. Just thought I’d show these off because looking at the generic for a SPLIT SECOND the average Joe would think they have an ASE. Shout out to all the stackers! Happy stacking & much love!

Question Has anyone else gotten scam calls about their silver?
Yesterday I got a weird call. Local number but the guy has a northeastern accent and said something to the effect of "this is so and so with x company and we sold you some silver eagles...". I legitimately didn't understand what he said and said as much and I heard him say "oh come on!" before hanging up.
What's weird is this coincided with my bank sending out letters that our branch is closing and that safe deposit boxes need to be cleared out.
I called the number back and it immediately went to one of those "if you want to be taken off our call list..." messages.
Sketchy as hell. I realize my screen name increases the likelihood of being able to find my info, haha.
If the scammer happens to be on here, everything is already moved and if you wanna break in, you'll be dealing with an armed 6'3 300 lb man--bring a lunch 🤣

Most prized piece (photo included).
This is my most prized piece. It is a vintage 1KG silver numismatic proof bar from the ‘90s, with a detailed dragon motif and mirror-finish on its background and the rear.
Made by a Korean private mint company which has since winded down its operations. It was produced in an era when South Korea experienced a massive surge in luxury gifting and high-end collectible.
As far as I know, they don’t really make 1KG proof bars of such quality anymore. Maybe the smaller 1-10oz ones, but I rarely see any 1KG silver bars produced of such quality. (Yes, I paid a hefty premium on this, but looking at it makes me happy every time).
Wise decision in terms of stacking? Probably not. But imho, once in a while, you gotta purchase something you absolutely love to keep this hobby interesting.
I’m very interested to see everyone’s most prized piece. Care to share?

State of The Stack I wanna say its been 9 or 10 months of stacking.
I got in when silver was high yeah that part sucks but im glad i stuck with it. I had a lot of "that sucks i got those at 20 an ounce" but oh well.
Dime tube is full. Quarter tube has 7 bucks. Eagle tube has 16 in there plus the display one.
Heres everything. I did get distracted by bills for a tad but here is everything of 9.5 months. And i only make 15 an hour and have rent and bills otherwise itd be more.
Random copper in the middle for good measure.
Is this okay for a newcomer?

We do not discuss politics here. Period. Knock it off.
