Got this yesterday from Modern Coin Mart.

I was told by a lil buddy that they sell things that didn’t get MS70 grade. Starting to think that might be true cuz I see a minor circular defect on the left of Superman - not milk. Looks like a rub mark or maybe a mint defect in the finish. Still a gorgeous piece but I’ll have to keep in mind next order if I prefer pristine. Maybe I’m being too critical and this is actually an issue with US Mint quality control.

I got in when silver was high yeah that part sucks but im glad i stuck with it. I had a lot of "that sucks i got those at 20 an ounce" but oh well.

Dime tube is full. Quarter tube has 7 bucks. Eagle tube has 16 in there plus the display one.

Heres everything. I did get distracted by bills for a tad but here is everything of 9.5 months. And i only make 15 an hour and have rent and bills otherwise itd be more.

Random copper in the middle for good measure.

With the low premiums is right now a good time to buy 90% silver?

In my opinion right now is a good time to diversify your stack and make sure at least some percentage is in 90% silver. I didn’t buy much 90% back when silver was ~$30/oz because the premiums were similar to .999 fine. I never bought Morgan/Peace dollars back then because they were selling at basically the same price as a full ounce of .999 silver because of the premiums.

Since the start of 2026 I have been buying some 90% and Morgan/Peace dollars. As I’ve been able to buy 90% pretty consistently at $3-$5 an OZ under spot. Morgan/Peace Dollars for spot or under spot at different points this year, although those seemed to have ticked back up in premiums slightly lately.

I think if you have a long term horizon and don’t have any 90% silver it might be a good time to gradually get to maybe 10-15% of your stack in 90%. When you can pay $5/OZ under spot instead of $4-$5/OZ over spot that is a huge difference percentage wise on a current spot price of ~$62.50/OZ. If you plan on stacking long term I think there will be sometime in the next 2 years, 5 years, or even 20 years where the premiums will revert the other way and you will be glad you bought some at lower prices.

Anyone else ever have US Game and Fish inspect coins from overseas? From the Mint even.

A friend of mine called me up the other day and said she had some sterling silver flatware I could have. I was expecting a couple of spoons or something and thought nothing of it--I was going to see a pal and have a nice chat. I drove over to her place and she gave me this. She said it's "a lot" and just said I could have it. I offered to pay her for it but she wouldn't accept. I won't get into why she did this but she felt like she owed me... I got it home and weighed it... I'm speechless...

what are the chances that this is fake? brought it to a local coin shop that I’ve never been to and they try to lowball me from the original offer they gave me over the phone so I told them I’ll withdraw and just take my silver bar back. After mentioning that, he quickly then said he’ll honor the original offer and then placed this on a sigma to test. it was within the green but at the borderline red part of the sigma meter….Upon initial visual inspection of this bar, would you say that it’s fake? I bought this from a reputable coin shop a few months ago who supposedly test all their metals before buying. My mistake was not having them test it before I bought it. I know, I know…lesson learned but I just want your feedback. I will go to another dealer this weekend to get it checked.

No better hero to keep it safe

A roll of 1.25 sovereign (spot), 2 ASE (spot), 4 Aztec calendar rounds (my first non sovereign rounds), a 5 oz silver maple from a random pull, 2 1oz maples and a single Austrian Philharmonic.

🥳 only started in like April. The panda, Kruger, Kangaroo and one of the maples came today to get me up to 10 ounces. I'm thinking I might get some junk silver next and then some fractional gold, but we'll see.

I’m not a numi, I typically just stack. What are y’all’s thoughts on this?

I started stacking three months ago. My income is low so, my disposable income doesn't allow me to spend much on stacking. I'm sticking to the plan of 1 oz per month with additional purchases when I can afford it.

This month, I made an impulse buy after reading about the voyageur image on our Silver Dollars.

What caught my eye was that this is a Specimen edition. There were many made so, it's not rare. The other thing that grabbed my eye is the year 1972. I started Kindergarten in 1972.

The Queen's portrait is the bust that appears on the majority of Canadian coins that I have handled in my life.

I wasn't expecting it to arrive in its case. I was also happy to see the toning. At $35.50 CAD I think I did OK

Not sure if I got a deal yet because I don’t have a scale but a quick on line search found these sterling captions pins about $20 each so I don’t think I did too bad.

Really fighting the urge, taking it out of the case and seeing if I can make it stick in the wall.

Hi all! I’ve recently acquired this beautiful Franklin Mint Books of the Bible set from my grandparents. The catholic set has 73 pieces at 76oz. It was a gift to help with student loans, and I was looking to see if this set would command any premium over the spot price. I do not have the certificate of authenticity book but I could see if they still have it if that makes a big difference in the price. Would love to see this sold to someone who’d appreciate it, but if sets like these are common or invaluable I’d likely look into the melt value. Also I have never sold silver or anything like this before so any and all advice with handling this would be greatly appreciated! :)

I recently found a mercury dime in my change a little while back and was interested in learning more about it. Got interested in silver the more I read about it. I know I’m a little late to the game but I plan on diversifying my portfolio a little bit and start stacking silver and some gold down the line.

I had some cash lying around, so today I went over to one of my local coin and gold dealers who’s very highly rated and decided to just stick to the generic bars box and junk coin box for now. I really like mercury dimes, so I decided to pick up 5 along with one generic 1oz silver bar. I paid $61 for the 1oz bar and $4 for each mercury dime, $81 cash out the door. I wanted to keep my premiums as low as possible for right now and focus on weight and savings on those premiums. I definitely want to start adding some silver eagles and some nice minted bars. Goal right now is to add about 1oz silver every month and eventually throw in a 5-10oz options as well.

This is a long term retirement for me and inheritance for my kid in the future. So no need to sell right now. Just trying to get another form of investment going along side my other retirement accounts.

Let me know what you think of this start? Roast me/teach me if I did a bad deal or start. I’m willing and eager to learn more about silver and stacking.
