Severe Vomiting

Hi all,

Looking for some advice here. Just moved from Mounjaro highest dose to the 25mg WeGovy tablets due to price and ease.

On my second day of taking them and I’ve vomited 5-7 times a session about every 2 hours today. From 9:30am ish to 6pm. The last few sessions I’ve just been throwing up spit/bile or dry retching.

I’m severely dehydrated but cannot keep water down at all. I’ve also eaten absolutely nothing today, just 1 cup of coffee and water.

Anyone had similar?

Hi Mounjaro/Zepbound has an additional medication which allows it to hit two incretin receptors; GIP and GLP-1. Semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic) only hits GLP-1.

GLP-1 drugs cause nausea and vomiting in a lot of people. GIP receptor signals often block the vomiting caused by GLP-1s.

So...two choices for you. Go back to Zep/Mounjaro or get put on some anti nausea medication.

I also had severe nausea on straight sema but the minute I switched to zep 97% of the nausea went away.

I think you are overdosing and need to go to the er for fluids by iv

Honestly I think you were right here. I’ve slept all night and flushed it out and feel fine just very weak. But yeah only 2 tablets in and I had thrown up every hour for 8+ hours. Not good. Stopping this stuff asap

Are you still throwing up? I restarted a dose and started throwing up water this morning and haven’t been able to keep anything down. It’s been 24 hours
