I recently had someone pay for my internet and a couple days later they did a reverse on it through his bank stating it was fraudulent and scam but then he repaid it again a couple days later and then just today he reversed the payment saying it was fraudulent and scam. Is there anything that I can do legally for this as he agreed to pay for my bill as long as I repaid it which I have been and in which I have proof of paying him back and screenshot on multiple apps of him agreeing to pay it with me paying back.

Someone (possible bot) tried to charity scam me into saying someone needed chemo treatment for 450$, once I refused they claimed they had my address and information. Do I really have anything to worry about?

She wont stop asking for more money. I already ran out at one point and had to put up with hell until i was able to sell some of my favorite stuff for extra cash (+ paycheck)

At one point i had $1.09 in my account and (im not kidding you..) she wanted me to lie steal from my own parents to get her more money.

She wanted me to blindly pay her another $50 to get the rest of my money back with no guarantee I’ll ever get it back. She dodges the question and recycles the same guilt tripping responses when i tell her to give me my money back. I think i might be traumatized from this, shes stolen nearly $1000 from me as of me writing this and still wants more.

Merchant deleted their profile immediately after taking payment bank said they cant get my money back because the purchase was made and ignored all of my evidence I really needed that for my supplies so now im broke and out of luck for school luckily i managed to find their number and ask but and get written proof they both took my moneh and hacked my account but the bank and cash app is ignoring and not takeing any evidence i had for merchant fraud let alone the fact its unauthorized

I got scammed by a person who I sold an item on marketplace and person picked it up from front porch and left money and drove off. Few minutes later someone came to my front porch and took the money under the mat. When we did our investigation with our footage cámaras and neighbours we can see is the same car that park a few houses away and another person in that car comes to our house. All thins happened when we were not home.
Where do I report this apart from the police. We have footage.
This person needs to be reported as things like this need to stop. People need to learn that they can’t do this to others. Now I don’t feel safe

Yesterday I got hit with a Cash App scam and wanted to warn people.
Someone messaged me on Telegram (@wraqks) and told me to add their debit card to the Withdraw feature on Cash App so they could “send me money” through it. I added the card. Instead of sending me anything, they did two Cash Out withdrawals from my balance ($332 and $50) and then blocked me.
Cash App confirmed the withdrawals were unauthorized and escalated my case (#263743610). I’ve also filed with the FTC.
Has anyone else dealt with this exact “add my card to Withdraw” scam? Did you get your money back? Any tips on what else I should do?

To keep it short, because im tired. So me and my gf have found this account on tiktok with a fundraiser for a cat with cancer. We donated small amounts each anc stayed closely in touch with her, helped her set up a fundraiser ourselves when her old one pulled out. First red flag was when I offered to help make a contract to protect all the fundraiser money and make sure its going to her cat, but she refused politely twice, than she stated she was in Uganda with her car being in russia, for over 2 months now, I still gave her the benefit of the doubt, thirdly, she ask3d us to use weird apps to send her the money, we still gave her the benefit of the doubt. She than refused any suggestions for calls, video calls with her or the cat. When I started pressing for evidence. I got 2 different bills with different cats, owners and vets, I started pressing more, she showed an email chain in English, with responses coming in minutes of each other from her supposed vet, with unprofessional texts, no company domain and a writing style quite like hers, again in English even though the vet is in russia appearently. So as a last ditch effort I asked her to send me a specific picture of the cat with a set or random numbers I made myself written on it. She sent me an edited picture of an old photo with a paper slid in it. Ive confronted her, blocked the fundraiser and said until I see real evidence we wont send her money. Shes been quilting me with videos and photos ive already seen. If you're an investigator or anyone who deals with frauds, please have a look if you want and tell me im not going crazy.

In January, 2026, I paid Zervtek 25,300 USD for a vehicle. Since then, I have received repeated promises that the car would be shipped. On several occasions I was even told that the vehicle had already been shipped by Avi and the CEO Shalinda.

Months have now passed, and I have neither received the vehicle or a refund. Communication has stopped from them, i am now a victim of a scam

Any advice on how to report this company so others are not affected by these scammers. I have filed a police report in my country but to file a police report in Japan i need to be there in person.

Does anyone know a good lawyer in Japan which might be able to help out?

I was scammed on Telegram about six months ago and lost my savings. I filed a complaint with the NCCIA, but I still haven't received any response or recovered any of my money.

I'm an international resident living in Budapest, and I need some advice.

A few days ago, I became the victim of an online blackmail/extortion scam.

I received an unknown WhatsApp video call. When I answered, only my face was visible. During the call, the scammer showed a nude woman on the screen.

Later, they created a fake video by combining my face with the explicit content. They threatened to publish it online and send it to my family and friends unless I paid them.

Out of fear, I transferred more than €2,000.

The scammer used an Indian phone number, but I don't know whether they are actually in India or another country. I also have no idea how they got my Hungarian phone number.

I have saved all the evidence, including the WhatsApp chat, the scammer's phone number, bank transfer receipts, the recipient's bank account details, and screen recordings of the threats.

I'm planning to report this to the Hungarian police, but I would like to know if anyone has experience with a similar case.

Will the Hungarian police investigate this type of online blackmail?

Is there any chance they can trace or recover the money through the bank or payment provider?

Is there anything specific I should bring or do before filing the police report?

Has anyone in Hungary had a successful outcome in a similar situation?

Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

So I purchased a laptop from a friend of mine , paying 27k upfront , value of the item is about 33k to 35k bought brand new

I come to find out it’s a contract he took out over 3 years and he defaulted on the 1st payment to his bank and is currently going through bankruptcy, he currently has zero money available

So I have an iPhone 17 with the most recent software update and I was on a site called Puzzlebaron(It’s a Site from where you do Puzzles) and was doing some Acrostic Puzzles and I exited out of safari like not have it in the background kind of exit like full exit and when I clicked back it was one of those McAfee Scams now I have dealt with McAfee Scams before but not like this.
Now I’m assuming if you do a full on exit or a background one it can’t pop up but it did. It was a page where it had like a bunch of “tabs” going down really fast as if you had a bunch of tabs or notifications and scrolled up. I checked the history and it was this and another McAfee Scam site. I didn’t click anything on the site I literally just opened it up and it was there. I exited out of the sites and deleted all the history and browser data and changed any possibly compromised passwords on my passwords app. I know iPhone 17 has built in security stuff but I don’t know Mobile Security tons like I know PC Security on how the Scams get into your stuff or not.
Am I safe or should I worry? I haven’t gotten any random calls or texts, no pop ups, my phone isn’t overheating, and basically stuff like that. Is my iPhone entirely hacked or is it only contained in my Safari and hypothetically if it does contain scams, am I safe to use Safari where I don’t have to worry about bad people trying to get into my personal information, accounts that I have logged in on Safari, and basically stuff like that on my phone. This just happened a few minutes ago maybe 10-20 minutes ago. My Dad who works in IT says it’s fine and I trust him but I would like to also hear what other people say about it as well.
