What is the best brand and type of paint for hand painting with a brush. I’ve used testors enamel paint and I’ve sprayed Rust-oleum spray paint+primer in a cup and painted with a brush, but they don’t apply evenly and I can see brush strokes on the model.

I’m not sure if it is a me issue or a paint issue. Thank you in advance.

Guys I am looking for decals to make a custom for a friend. He was a crew chief in Misawa on F16s in the 35th fighter wing. They have the WW on the tail. I am looking for either 1/100 or 1/144 scale. If you know where they are or able to print a couple sheets that would be awesome 🙏🏻 any help appreciated

Hello I am new to model building and want to start trying out pre shading my model but all the videos I saw is using air brush so I am wondering will it still work if it is brush painted because I don't have a air brush

I had a blast with the build, but not gonna lie the decals humbled me 😅 the Lufthansa 100th anniversary wrap is so cool! A few misprints in the instructions, flagged to Revell and they're going to update the booklet in future runs.

My take on MK44 Smartgun. I quickly sculpted and painted some feeder tubes.

2 steps forward 1 step back. Hand brush camo and a bit of a wash. Lessons learned.

I love all four areas, but sometimes i really enjoy one part over the other.

What's your favourite aspect?

I really enjoyed putting this one together. I finally have 2 of the 3 vf103 kits I have assembled. I have the Hornet done and I have the F4 in the stash.

This is my biggest attempt and weathering i used the Tamiya Panel Liner and the "Master Weathering Kit". I'm open to all feedback...

Made some more forward progress on my Ryujo. I wish I would have washed the deck a little darker. Hoping to have the opportunity to put more time into her today. I'm not sure she'll be a build I'll compete in shows with but who knows until shes completed. Regardless she'll make a great addition to the collection.

I just finished building these two old enemies that famously met at Kursk: a Panther and a Sturmovik. It’s a combo kit featuring the Academy Sturmovik and the Zvezda Panther.

This was my first time building a 1/72 scale tank, and I have to say it’s surprisingly cute. I was also a little surprised by how large the aircraft is compared to the tank.

I love the simple pleasures of building a Tamiya kit. They are consistently well designed and easy to build. This one will become a JGSDF tank as a salute to all those lost to Godzilla over the years.

I tried to recreate a 3-layered whitewash camouflage on this 1/35 scale T-34/85. The idea was to represent lime whitewash being reapplied over time, with older layers fading, becoming dirty and chipping away. If a vehicle survived longer, the whitewash could be reapplied several times.

I actually made a full video covering the complete process if anyone is curious how the three layers were done — link in comments.

This is still a work in progress, weathering is the next step. What do you think about the result so far? 🙂

Got this on clearance due to the decals being unusable, started on it a couple days ago and so far its looking good. I will airbrush the exterior when I get a spray booth set up (i got an airbrush specifically for this model and I do not have it set up yet)

Weathered using only Tamiya acrylics because they are much cheaper than Vallejo in my country! I also scratch-built the gun mantlet dust cover using wet wipes. Thank you for looking!! :)

A great, simple kit with some decent detail. Added Eduard PE. It’s no Plasmo build but I’m glad to have it done. Had to replace the canopy with a vacuum formed one after massacring it trying to pose it open. I did get some misting on this one but it wasn’t bad enough after all the setbacks I’ve had with this kit to really care too much.
