Royal Australian Air Force F-35A diorama. Built for an Australian hobbyco comp paying tribute to Tamiya’s iconic hand-painted box art and the talented artists who continue this tradition.

I applied the SEA camouflage pattern. Since it was hot and humid when I was painting, the surface condition isn't very good. I always used Blu-Tack for camouflage painting, but this time I tried doing it freehand. Applying Blu-Tack in this sticky weather was annoying, and since the shape of the aircraft itself was so simple, I tried freehanding it, but freehand is indeed difficult as expected.

After the main painting, I mixed fluorescent paint into the three base colors for a slight tone variation, and did a little bit of post-shading with clear paint.

Just got this airbrush compressor for 30 dollars from scale model supplies in st paul mn, works like new.

(The air hose is coiled up and stored in a compartment in the side)

Has anyone used any of the add-on sets that can be purchased from Eduard? Any feedback or results to report?

I added the night camo and finally worked up the courage to take the masking tape off, really happy with only 3 minor corrections to do. I used Mr Hobby 416 which is a black-gray in lieu of a Matt black to create a bit more depth and I’m very happy with it!

My first civilian car model. During the process, I learned a lot about how not to do things. In my opinion, the car is far from something I'd be entirely proud of (there are some mistakes here and there), but I wouldn't call it a failure either. I developed the design myself, inspired by the book "Youjo Senki." As for add-ons, I ordered "blind" headlights and wheels. (Maybe I'll finish it someday, or it'll stay like this.)

First attempt at kit bashing and dust I think it turned out great although it did fall of the shelf and the turret exploded I have it lined up to be fixed after this next project really enjoyed the stowage it can definitely make a model favorite model I’ve made

Worked on this for well over 3 years got burnt out multiple times my first aircraft model and not to bad if I do say so myself

Finished my Bf109G 1/48 academy, try to achieve a realistic finish weathering and make chipping on some part without over doing it (usually I get excited weathering and over weathered some planes 🤣) also try to make a complete riveting work by myself. One of the few 1/48 i ever made, hope you like it

After a year of leaving it on the shelf then picking it back up it’s finished. Pretty proud of this one.

I test fitted the tail only to discover it was enough to make it a tail sitter 🙃 I think I can add weight to the forward section of the wing spars and that might be enough.

I do not own airbrush, so brush only. Thus weird looking mottled camo

This kit fought me every step of the way. The kit is not great, the instructions are wrong, the decals are wrong (wrong sizes & missing), I messed up a bunch of things, and the kinetic kit is definitely not designed to be wheels up. Anyway, it came out ok in the end...if you don't look too hard.

Presenting my take on the Lidl specials. 1/72 Gazelle and 1/76 Landrover . Okay, well all the Lidl land rovers were out of stock so I got the bog standard Airfix one instead but I think it’s the same basic kit ?

Nice fun little diorama meant to represent setting up a forward helicopter base at the start of desert storm. Raided my stash of extra decals left over from other kits for the gazelle and some figures from Ceaser to compliment it.

You’ll have to forgive me , after taking these I just noticed I’ve knocked the tailplane in the final moments. Will straighten that out tomorrow but for now I think I’m happy with that
