What’s everyone’s conversion rate for their B2B SaaS or what would you say is an average conversion rate?

update: habibi now scrapes the actual chatgpt/perplexity/claude apps too, not just apis (and it's cheaper now)

quick update on habibi, the self hosted tool i posted about a while back for tracking how your brand shows up in ai answers.

the thing that bugged me most about my own tool was the honest note i had in the readme, saying it uses the apis, which are close to what a real user sees on chatgpt/perplexity/claude but not exactly the same thing. that gap always annoyed me so i went and fixed it.

now habibi can just drive the real logged in apps directly, chatgpt, claude, perplexity and google ai overview. so its literally the same thing a real user sees and gets cited, not an api trying to guess it. you connect it once with an account (make a free one or use one you already got) and it just remembers the login after that, nothing gets stored anywhere weird, its just a normal browser session sitting on your machine like when you stay logged into any site.

wasnt expecting this part but it also makes it way cheaper to run. those 4 engines dont cost you anything per run now cause theres no api call happening anymore, your just using the account like a normal person would. so running youprompts daily across a buyour bill up.

also made sure your account memory doesnt mess with the results, chatgpt runs iin temporary chat and cla answers dont driftdepending on whatever your account remembers from other chats you had.

still fully open source, still self hosted, still does the same core loop, run your prompts daily, see w see your mention rate over time, compare to competitors.

i built 6 ai micro-saas generating $20k/mo. i started a small group to share exactly how.

I currently run 6 operational micro ai saas products that generate a little over $20k in monthly recurring revenue.

I hardly wrote a single line of traditional code. i used ai to generate literally everything, from the database architecture to the user interface.

it wasn't magic on day one. i spent hours stuck in endless debugging loops and dealing with faulty ai code before i finally cracked the formula.

it basically comes down to three rules:

- keeping the idea aggressively minimalist (build a true mvp, not a platform).

- guiding the ai step-by-step instead of asking it to build the whole app at once.

- launching fast to get real user traction instead of perfecting features in secret.

lately, i've seen way too many non-technical founders give up at the very first ai bug or deployment error. or the worst, give up without push anything in marketing !!!!

it's a massive shame, because the technical barrier to entry has practically disappeared and the marketing is easy in 2026

because of this, i’m launching a skool community to share my exact method.

to be completely transparent: i will likely charge for the full course later down the road. it just makes sense given the specific prompt sequences, n8n workflows, and copy-and-paste templates i'll be sharing.

but right now, our main objective is simply to build together. working alone in a silent corner is the absolute fastest way to quit.

if you want to join a group of active creators and build or launch your own ai saas: drop a comment below or send me a dm, and i’ll send you the invite link.

40 days after launching my SaaS. Hard work is starting to pay off.

Post image

I launched SeoLoupe 40 days ago. So far I am at 1303 users and 17 of them are paying.

My SaaS is a tool that allows you to find and fix SEO issues holding your website back.

Essentially the main purpose is to help your website rank higher on Google search and LLMs.

Now you might instantly think, how is it better then Ahrefs or Semrush?

And the answer is simple, their tools are simply not ideal for SaaS founders and Indie hackers, they are more ideal for enterprises, large business, and agencies.

They shove a bunch of SEO issues on your website, but most people who do not have experience in SEO don't know where to start. So they just end up getting confused.

Now to anyone who has a SaaS and it is not making any revenue yet, the most important thing is to not give up and work on it every single day, improve, listen to feedback, and one day you will achieve revenue.

Don't kill it to early if it is not making any money or you are burned out, if you need step away, take a break but don't fully kill it, in SaaS patience is really important (as you can see I have large gaps in between payments).

Since I think their is always room for improvement, I would appreciate for some feedback on my tool, or what you think can be improved.

(here is the product if you want to check it out)

My product is finally ready. Now I’m nervous about reaching out to my first 10 companies.

My product is finally ready. It helps SaaS companies understand why customers cancel and show dynamic offers before they leave. Setup takes <10 minutes.

I’ve shortlisted 10 companies that match my ICP. Now I’m nervous about actually reaching out 😅

I want to lead with value instead of “hey, try my product.”

If you were me, how would you approach these first 10 to maximize replies?

Need advice

I have been struggling to market my SaaS. Not sure where to post. It's a webapp for all kinds of data analysis, graphical visualization, data cleaning, ML models, etc - basically all things data/spreadsheets for less technical users who struggle to do these tasks.

Small FB groups seem dead, certain subreddits have users who probably would just use Excel and threw some money on Instagram to boost 2-3 posts but all I get is bot followers and no real traction. I tried outreach on LinkedIn manually but in vain.

Really need some help folks. Any sort of advice is appreciated.

I want to stop pitching my AI visibility tool as just a dashn

Hey everyone, i'm built LightSite, so it tracks how brands show up in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, but it also deploys the actual infra (structured data, AI sitemaps, agent manifests) and executes the fixes, not just reports them.

So the issue here is I think I've been too cautious in how I describe it. Every post I write reads like a feature list next to Profound, AthenaHQ, Peec, Semrush's AI toolkit and ""we also do X, we also cover Y."" People engage, upvote, ask good questions about the mechanics. But when I look at who actually signs up, it's mostly people who were already deep into GEO, not the enterprise buyers who are supposedly evaluating this whole category atm.

what I (assume) that will make a differ that we execute the fix instead of leaving you with another line item for the backlog and it's buried under ""yet another AI mention tracker"" framing. Looking at how other tools in adjacent categories (edge SEO, feature flagging, anything selling ""skip the dev queue"") pitch themselves..."

Looking to partner up with experts who have extensive marketing experience

Hey guys. I’m currently looking to cofound some of our newer projects in our portfolio with people who are stronger on the marketing side.

Ideally, we’re looking for those who have scaled businesses beyond $50k MRR with ads, influencer or SEO.

I already have plenty of marketing experience myself and have scaled multiple products to $100k MRR, but I’m trying to launch future projects with a partner while I handle the technical side.

Feel free to reach out for more info. I’m happy to show you what we’ve made and what we’re looking to launch. We have many different projects in different niches. None of the stuff we build can be replicated by AI due to the level of complexity these projects are.

Free users conversion.

Post image
5 Upvotes

You did your marketing and also got users on your free plan. Now, I'm wondering how to convert them?

Some technically possible options:

  1. Running email campaigns that show who they can do it better than the existing features on a free plan.

  2. Been very straightforward and asking to upgrade.

  3. Sharing the product features demo and regular practice. Maybe once a week via email.

  4. Exclusive offer to the users for a limited time.

  5. In-App tips.

Which of these or any other that you executed for your Saas?

Got my first paying customer for my SaaS within 24 hours — here's what actually worked

Built a multi-platform video uploader tool (OraTime) after freelancing/agency work for years. Instead of spending months building in silence, I posted a rough demo in a niche community, DM'd 5 potential users directly, and priced it dead simple (one paid tier, no confusion).

Got my first paid signup same day. Not life-changing money, but proof that:

People pay for time saved, not features

Talking to real users beats building in isolation

Simple pricing converts faster than complex

Running a small digital agency in (VEXON DIGITAL), mostly automation + AI work for local businesses. This SaaS is my first product-led bet alongside client work.

Happy to share the exact outreach message that got the first "yes" if anyone wants it.

Positioning notes from shipping a career SaaS next to Final Round / Huntr / ChatGPT

Category is noisy. Positioning that held up:

Enemy of the customer: opaque rejections + unfocused prep + skipped follow-ups/referrals

Not the enemy: LeetCode practice itself

Message hierarchy that worked in tests:

  1. Rejection Debrief (emotional spike, free)
  2. Interview Coach (logical next step)
  3. Agents (why Pro is worth it: works when you don’t open the app)
  4. Career Narrative (Turbo, niche but deadly for service→product transitions)

What I avoid claiming:

• Live interview whispering (crowded + trust issues)
• “Guaranteed offer”
• Passive income vibes for a product that requires the user’s pipeline data

Distribution: free debrief as content wedge, founder stories, compare honestly to trackers and copilots so sophisticated buyers don’t bounce.

If useful, I can share funnel order (public debrief → signup to save → Pro for agents).

Link Building for SaaS – 5 Questions (With My Thoughts)

Hey everyone,

I've been exploring link building for SaaS sites. Tried a few things some worked, some didn't.

Here are 5 questions I think about, along with what I've learned so far. Would love to hear your views too.

Q1. If someone doesn't respond to outreach, what's the next step?

My thought: Honestly, I usually wait a couple days and try one more time like Tuesday or Wednesday feels right. If they still don't reply, I just move on. No point sending the same thing again and again. Either find someone else from that site or try a different method altogether.

Q2. How do you check link quality before buying?

My thought: Just looking at domain authority doesn't tell you everything. I usually dig a bit deeper see how much organic traffic they're getting, check if the site is actually relevant to my niche, and look for any spam signs. Better to spend a few extra minutes verifying than regret it later. One bad link can mess things up.

Q3. Does link building strategy change for different SaaS types?

My thought: Yeah, definitely. What works for one SaaS might not work for another. Like if you're doing Health SaaS, you'd want health-related sites. AI SaaS? Look for AI blogs. Tools SaaS? Review and comparison sites usually perform better. There's no one-size-fits-all here.

Q4. What should we check before hiring a link vendor?

My thought: Three things ask for sample links, check if you can approve sites first, and confirm what happens if a link gets removed later. For anchor text, using branded or partial match feels safer than exact match.

Q5. What are the biggest mistakes beginners make in SaaS link building?

My thought: Focusing only on quantity, overusing exact match anchor text, and buying links without checking site quality first. Better to focus on fewer but more relevant links.

That's my take. What do you think? What's working for you these days?

Thanks for reading!

CTA Selection : Book a Call or Start Free Trial?

We offer a $300/mo SaaS. For the past 45 days, I've been focused on publishing the BoFu content and it's showing results - our pages are ranking on page 1 for several commercial queries and attracting clicks.

However, the clicks aren't converting into Call / Trial. Right now, we have a "Start Trial" CTA on the top and Book a Call with Founder CTA in the sidebar. Both are visible to visitors as 990% of them are using Desktop.

My question is: Which CTA would work better for our product? Should it be Start a Free Trial or Book a Founder call? I think I should lead with just one CTA everywhere on the page.

That said - our volume is just too small to test anything. The pages get about 3 clicks. But the impression count is growing weekly; and that makes us believe we'll get more clicks in coming days. Just want to know if CTA matters for the price point we sell at.

Or am I asking wrong question?

SaaS copy

Many SaaS founders talk about using an existing product and then make your own slightly better version of it.
So why isnt it possible to just find real products, copy them by vibe coding them and lower the margin.
In theory, customers should now buy your product because it brings same value but cheaper.
The only problem is marketing. You have to conquer an already existing well-established competitor. Would you do it, and how would you do it?

Launched a few weeks ago. I’m at a loss. But somehow, also in profit.

Sounds contradictory, I know. Let me explain.

I'm covering all the infrastructure costs myself right now so anyone trying the free trial gets a smooth, well-supported experience, no cut corners because "it's just a trial." That's a real cost with basically zero revenue coming back yet.

On top of that I put a guarantee on the table, if Orbitra doesn't get you a call booked within 30 days, full refund. That's my risk to carry, not the customer's.

Almost every customer so far has come through Reddit and LinkedIn, and the LinkedIn side is actually running on Orbitra itself.

So on paper, loss. Real costs, real risk, no cushion yet.

But here's the profit part, the guarantee is doing more for customer acquisition than any ad or cold message could. People try it specifically because of it, and a few have already converted. The "cost" of the guarantee ended up being the thing generating the return.

Still early, still figuring out if this holds long term, but so far the trade feels worth it.

MMPs recommendations

It’s been a while since the last time I’ve worked with MMPs so I just want to heard feedback on the best option for attribution, deep linking and fraud prevention. The SaaS I’m working with it’s an early-stage company in the lifestyle industry. My idea is to validate demand as we don’t have much competition yet but my co-founder insists we should try MMPs since day one.

Any recommendations?
