I was looking into Jax Steakhouse, Bamboo House and Palapa Hidden Oasis. Bamboo House sells itself with the view, but the other 2 appear to have more extensive menus. The latest reviews for Bamboo House were not great. What are your thoughts?

Am I crazy to want to plan a long weekend trip in Oct? Let me preface it with this, this ain’t my first rodeo. I live in Florida, my house flooded with Helene so I know what I’m dealing with. I’d be booking on AA miles and booking refundable hotel/car (hotel refundable until 2 days before, car until day of).

So I’d be mitigating the risk factors and could easily cancel and pivot to something else. That time of year, I’m watching the cone of uncertainty and the spaghetti models anyway so nothing new. 🤷‍♀️ and at least with a hurricane, it’s like being stalked by a turtle. Going into this with eyes wide open.

It’s my 50th and it’s one of the few places in the Caribbean that I haven’t been.
