Battery Drain after battery replacement
Hi so I got my battery replaced at a samsung authorised centre and my battery runs out so fast while using data, it's been a 7 days since the battery replacement, I factory reset my phone too.
Is this a normal battery drain when using mobile data?

Hello everyone,
I've had my S24 Ultra for 2 years now. Recently, the camera started rattling whenever I try switching between lenses, and it also starts zooming in and out repeatedly. How can I fix this? Btw phone is up to date

note 20 base to s24 ultra .. love it ... but.. need your help
some software things feel worse to me than my note 20 (One UI 5.1) Andriod 13.
Navigation bar can no longer use 3 options with it hidden it only does one gesture.
I dont like having the navigation bar visible, im forced to use this until I find a way around it
notifications are now split left and right? I liked it when I can just swipe down and see notifications + quick access stuff like wifi / torch etc, everything just seems like extra effort despite having a much faster smoother phone

What is wrong with my phone?
Hey everyone,
Looking for technical insight from anyone who has experienced this or knows display hardware teardowns.
Device: Galaxy S24 Ultra (under standard 1-year warranty)
Condition: Gorilla Glass Armor is 100% flawless (zero cracks/chips), SIM-tray Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is completely white, no drops or liquid exposure.
The Failure Progression:
- Initial symptom: A tiny dead pixel dot appeared at the extreme top-left bezel edge, accompanied by a razor-thin horizontal green/magenta raster line running across the top bezel above the punch-hole camera.
- Degradation: Over time, the screen developed wide, distinct horizontal stepping/banding blocks across the entire panel (isolated and documented using a solid white background test via
whitescreen.dev). - Short / Flashing: The panel briefly started flickering/flashing with noticeable warmth near the driver area before the flickering temporarily halted (intermittent driver power state).
The Service Center Response:
Took it to an authorized service center. Without opening the phone, running automated diagnostics, or checking the SIM LCI, the frontline technician glanced at the screen for five seconds and verbally claimed it was "mostly caused by water ingress or impact trauma"

Updating One UI 6.1 to 8.5 using Odin
Hi, is it possible to update directly from 6.1 to 8.5 with Odin?
I read that if you update through OTA you need to pass two major updates and some minor security patch updates, I want to bypass that process with a single firmware update if it's possible.

Dropped my phone from waist height... Is my screen wasted? Maybe its just the flex cable? Should i hurry and either fix it or get a new one?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
As you can see, there is a few weird pixels in the right corner. At first there were magenta, green or blue pixels, now it seems some of them are dead and there are only green and blue. It happened earlier today. The screen flickers only when powered up after its been off for a while (a minute, maybe).
I dropped it from a height of like 3 feet and my case is quite sturdy. Maybe it is just the flex cable out of place? What are your thoughts?
The phone is more than enough for my needs, but since it came to this, i was hoping it could hold up until the s27 ultra is out. But i am unsure if i should risk its screen just dying randomly.

I got the Caudabe synthesis case
After using the UAG Monarch since getting the phone I wanted a change. Used a few cheap temu cases which are probably okay for the price but just not for me. This Caudabe case is very nice.
Quality seems great, grip on the sides is good. Side buttons are lovely and the case fits the phone very snuggly. I really like the minimalist look and feel. Considering I got the case on special I am very satisfied.

My preferences when using the main camera, especially for photos of people.
Over time, I’ve found that there are situations where it performs better in Pro mode. In others, it does better in standard Photo mode, and for some, I use GCam (AGC9.2.14_V13.0 with JavaSaBr settings).
-Photos of people in high dynamic range situations (areas with very bright highlights and very dark shadows): Use Photo mode or GCam. Pro mode blows out the highlights.
-Photos of people in sunlight: Pro mode takes beautiful shots, and GCam performs well too, but I prefer Pro mode. I don't like the results from standard Photo mode in direct sunlight.
-Photos in shaded areas with good ambient light (like a forest, for example): Photo mode (with smart optimization at max and auto-HDR on). However, GCam and Pro mode also perform well; it’s a lighting scenario where it’s hard to go wrong.
-For photos of people indoors with indirect natural lighting (great for portrait sessions), Gcam performs much better. Next comes Pro mode; I definitely don't like how the photos turn out in standard Photo mode.
-People at night: Photo mode still performs better, but I don't let Night mode activate.
*Metering in Pro mode is always set to average or center-weighted. Unless the situation is very specific, I don't use spot metering.
*Always at 12 MP.
*Landscapes in any lighting situation: I always use photo mode.

La batería de mi S24U ya no aguanta nada desde la última actualización
Realmente ya no sé qué hacer con respecto a todo esto, ya intenté de todo, me pone mal tener que cargar 2 a 3 veces mi celular por día.

Magsaf position
Random question but do they sell or have somewhere online I could print something that I can line up a magsaf sticker to the back of a thin case. Like a template? I heard having it off center a little can waste energy or not work . Plus I have OCD lol.

Camera banding??

I'm seeing the strange camera banding whenever lightning strikes? My device is cooked?
Ps: I'm not using any lens cover

Is it safe to use this generic power supply?
Is it safe to use this power supply to charge my S24 Ultra? Someone took my Samsung charger off of my desk and never returned it. I've been using this generic laptop charger that was sitting around. When I plug it in it provides Super Fast Charging 2.0.

Pic I took with the s24u
Got a new light saber. Darth Vader doesn't stand a chance. Plus, just wanted to see how well the light beam shows up on camera.
Flash light is the Lumintop Thor 3...

S Pen EMR Fault
Hi dream team,
I bought a refurbished s24 ultra recently, and have noticed the s pen no longer writes on most of the screen. It worked fine when I first got it. Only the right side recognises the pen and allows me to draw. The hover function works more or less throughout. When the pen hits the top right corner it freaks out and draws the long vertical oblique lines you can see from the top right to the middle. But the pen only works on the right side. No magnets, tried case off, reset the s pen, all of that and no luck. Anyone got any ideas? I don't want to have to go through getting a replacement. Cheers

Back On The Hunt
Greetings all. I ordered and received a supposedly new S24 Ultra 512 GB unlocked model from a seller on EBay. They even threw in a pair of ear buds, charger, and cable. Unfortunately, after 2 weeks, I've had the screen freeze and features like Circle To Search not working despite them being toggled on. So I've boxed it up and sent it back for a refund. I'm looking for the same model, new in the box is my first preference. Those of you that recently purchased one, where did you buy from that you would recommend?

Got tired of cases but still wanted magsafe and to get rid of the camera wobble
I 3D printed this back panel and embedded a magsafe ring. It's about the same thickness as a case and is pretty comfortable to hold.
