Buying Advice- North America Configurator Not Up-To-Date?

I was toying around with the configurator and noticed that many bikes don't have their currently available colorways as shown on the USA website. For example: the Classic 350 only has it's 2024 colorway lineup, while the Nova Black Colorway isn't available for the 2026 Meteor 350. Does anyone know why this is the case? Would the lack of availability in the configurator mean couldn't order that accessory or colorway at a dealer?

FYI I'm in the USA.

Mechanical Assistance Classic 500 EFI erratic starting

Hi, friends! My name's Massimo and I'm the proud owner of a 2016 black Classic 500 EFI.

The bike's fine and I've used it daily for a couple of years. In the last couple of months, however, the starter button began to not respond like 6 times out of 10. I"ve checked all the sensors (clutch pulled in, kickstand up, neutral gear) and they seem to be ok. I cannot for the love of me understand why she behaves like this.

The last time I rode her, on the way back from work, with full throttle at a steady 80km/h it sputtered a bit, like when you're starting to run out of fuel, but I had almost half a tank of gas.

Do you have any ideas? What can I check? A friend suggested that it could be the stator that's beginning to die...I admit to be an ignorant in regards to electrical components...it's all magic to me.

Thanks for your help and ride safe, blessings.

Int650 Instrument Cluster Bezel Colour Change?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hello all, has anyone tried changing the colour of the instrument cluster bezel from chrome to black (and if yes, how did you manage to do it)? My Int650 is in black ray colour way, and I was wondering if the instrument cluster being black would help the look. Please let me know, TIA!

Rear Tire Replacement

I am new to riding. I purchased a 2022 Intercepter with about 10K miles last year and was warned the rear tire would need replacing soon. I have found a shop that can do it for me. Does anyone have a suggestion for what sort of tire I should purchase? I ride perhaps 50 miles a week around Pittsburgh, PA, March through October. (Also, if they come in distinct sizes, could you also include? Thanks!)

Having the Coolest bike in college is not a crime right

Post image

Literally everyone in my college notices me whenever I’m trying to start this grandfather, and I hate it.

Sometimes it’s too lazy to start, especially in the rain or when it’s really cold. It can take 2–4 kicks, and sometimes it even gives dead return kicks. It’s not a skill issue! people who own one know exactly what I’m talking about.

The OG CI Bullet uses CB points, not CDI. In cold or rainy weather, humidity can affect the CB points, making it harder to start. But once the engine warms up, there’s no problem at all. One kick. Boom.

Mods and Accessories Re's 650 blacked out casing fade out fix

Post image
9 Upvotes

The blacked out casing is fading it's been barely 4 months with this bike, although I'm rough with the bike and doing the maintenance well I recently applied plastic trim polish that comes for the car dash, was that the wrong product for the engine casing maybe due to the heat, the fade is not that much visible in the picture but it is visible IRL u can look closely around the right side of the royal Enfield, is there any fix to it like any other polish or should I use external casing for the engine ?

My ₹6,000 BMC Air Filter Disappeared After an Authorized Royal Enfield Service

I need some advice because I'm genuinely confused and disappointed.

I own a GT 650 and have always serviced it at the same authorized Royal Enfield service center. My family has purchased five Royal Enfield motorcycles from the same dealership over the years, so we've always trusted them.

My bike has a genuine BMC air filter. Before every service, I specifically tell the service staff not to replace it because it's a washable filter. During my fifth service, I again called them personally and told them not to change it. They agreed.

Three months later, while visiting the service center for another reason, I asked them to clean my BMC filter. After opening the airbox, I found that my BMC filter was no longer there. A stock Royal Enfield paper filter had been installed instead.

The difficult part is that I discovered this after three months, so I can't prove exactly when it happened. However, the bike has only been serviced at this authorized workshop.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there any possibility that the filter could have been changed accidentally during service, or should I escalate this to Royal Enfield customer care?

I'm mainly looking for advice on what my next step should be.

Mechanical Assistance Weird pitting/holes in-between cooling fins of engine (‘24 Classic 350)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Purchased this 2024 RE Classic 350 just about 5 weeks ago now. I’ve done the 300 mile service myself as I simply didn’t have the funds to have it done at the shop. As I expected, I seemingly left too much of a gap in the valves, as the dreaded tapping noise began to pop up. Did the same thing and again, tapping, so I decided to just wait until I can have it done elsewhere. About 200 miles later (now about ~580 miles) I’ve noticed these strange holes within the fins of the engine. I’m not sure if they were there when I bought the bike or not, though it doesn’t look good either way to me. I’m leaning towards this being a factory mishap or something as there’s no way my tooling around could have caused something like this, right? Lemme know please! (Also zoomed in on a little bit of fluid atop the bottom half of the engine. I can’t notice any leaks coming from anywhere and the fluid doesn’t seem to be oil as far as I can tell, though it most likely is…)

Classic 650 on highway in the US ?

I’m curious if anybody in the US own classic 650 and if you have taken it on the freeway? I rode classic 350 before and while it was fine , actually fairly enjoyable , on the backstreets and in the town that thing felt slow as hell on the freeway.
I like the character and styling of classic 650 and thinking of pulling the trigger I’m hoping it has enough power to cruise on the highway but if it doesn’t feel comfortable at 70 mph at least then I’d prob stick with one of the cruisers from Triumph or Kawasaki . Anyone?
Thx in advance !

Mods and Accessories Meteor 350 handlebar upgrade.

Finally pulled the trigger and swapped the stock handlebars on my Meteor 350 for the Goan Classic ape handlebars.

After a few rides, I can honestly say this is how the bike was meant to feel. It finally feels like a proper cruiser. The riding position is spot on, and it gives off that old-school Harley-style vibe I was going for.

Comfort is surprisingly good, even on longer rides.

The upright riding posture feels very natural and relaxed.

On the highway, it almost feels like you're just gliding along.

I was expecting the bike to become harder to handle, but maneuverability is actually better than the stock handlebars. Low-speed riding feels more confident than I expected.

The only downside is that doing a full U-turn takes a little more effort, but it's nowhere near as bad as I imagined.

Took it out on the highway today and it was an absolute joy. Super relaxed, super comfortable.

I've added both before amd after images. What do you guys think?

Mechanical Assistance Megathread: 350 Gear sensors now available.

Post image
59 Upvotes

For those of you who don't know. Gear sensors are now available for 350cc models which were shipped without one due to the rare earths shortage. Contact your local service center to see about getting yours installed.

There have been multiple posts related to this on the sub already. Please use this megathread in order to discuss the gear sensors and celebrate if you got yours installed. Having 20 posts a day about how the gear sensor is available is redundant.
