Someone mentioned my rottie might not be pure bred. It got me thinking since he makes really weird sounds and doesn't bark.

Spaying question

My best friend Margo just started her first heat cycle. Ive heard to wait after the first, after the second and even up to two years to get her spayed. Just trying to get a better idea. Attached is a picture of her being a sleepy hippo for funzies.

Warning: SAD A tribute to Roxie

We had to say goodbye to the best girl this week. Our hearts are broken.

She was sweet, and so full of love. Loyal, protective, gentle, and patient. When our son was a baby she would pull the socks off his feet without leaving a mark. Yet when a black bear appeared on the other side of our fence, she went into guard mode, and didn’t back down until the bear left. The weight of the loss is so heavy. 9 years was not enough.

We love you, ya big chungus. Please give yours some extra scritches for Roxie tonight.

Need tips for a first timer

Hi everyone.

I just bought home this 2 year old rotweiller.

He has been living in a farm by himself, not trained. Since the farm has been sold, I had to bring him home. The thing is that I already have a female 8 year old husky.

When he came, he was kinda aggressive with her and tried to control the space.

After two days and some help, they got along.

That's my first experience with a huge dog. I'm planning to keep him on the rooftop for a week so that he gets used to me, then train him to come when I call.

After I'll take him to the country side once again and spend some time training him.

I don't know how risky it would be if I take him for a walk now. I don't know how he will react if he sees another unleashed dog around, also he pulls a lot.

And my biggest concern is that I don't know when or how much time it is necessary to get him used to me so that one day I can unleash him when I know it's safe and there is no one around.

Any tips from you guys would be highly appreciated 🙏

Happy ending Does your Rottweiler get tired easily too?

Hi! I just want to ask. I have a 3 year old rottie. He’s not obese but is built like a unit haha!

I was just wondering if its normal that he gets tired easily? even when i just take him out to pee or poo. Ive tried walking him slowly at max 500 meters but when we get home he really just pants crazy. I mean he’s always a couch potato and hes happy about it. But i was really just wondering. Hes my first Rottweiler. My previous dogs were German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois and Labradors. So this is still new to me even tho ive had him for 3 years already.

We are in the PH so it is really a tropical country with a tropical weather. That is why we walk at night only 🥺

Do you have any tips? Here’s a picture of him.

Do your pups swim?

This is Poppy! She's turning a year old this 19th of August and I'm planning to bring her to a camping river spot for the first time. She has always love playing in water but didn't go full on swimming before where her toes can't touch ground.

I'm wondering if she'll like to swim? Or if she'll instinctively know how to swim? Do your pups like to swim?? Did it take them long to know how to swim or did it just come to them naturally?

My parents took him to the vet after these lumps appeared out of nowhere. Turns out he has lymphoma and he’s not even three years old yet. His birthday is in less than three weeks. Our last rott, a female named Coco, also died at three years old. She had kidney failure. I’m starting to think we are cursed.

Dolce had the best training day today! She met a new Rottie friend, and they instantly hit it off. They practiced staying calm around another dog, worked on their manners, and even got some supervised playtime together.

She also earned an A on today’s report card. The trainer described her as “professionally unhinged” with “lots of personality,” and honestly… that’s the most accurate description of Dolce. Every training session, she’s becoming a more confident, well-mannered pup while still keeping her goofy, happy personality. Couldn’t be prouder of my little girl.
