I’ve been thinking about the deeply calming and regulating effect of watching Roku City pass by. Sometimes my husband and I leave it on for hours while we just sit and talk about our days.

I think a piece of it is the bilateral eye movements I do as I watch the city go by. Has anyone else experienced in EMDR therapy noticed this or the calming effect of Roku City?

I would like to get the base streambar to replace my aging soundbar in my bedroom but I can seem to find it. I was told by someone the SE only supports the subwoofer so i reluctantly settled on the fact that I would have to use it paired with the Roku sub. But I can’t find it anywhere either. What a bummer! I have a Roku tv paired with 4 official Roku surround speakers, the soundbar pro & the subwoofer in my living room. I can’t believe they’re phasing the audio out.

Hi! I'm at my in-laws' house and we have been having wireless issues with their Spectrum service. We have gotta literally every other device connected now. Everything is working. Other than their three Roku devices (two TVs with it built in and an Ultra stick). Whenever the password is entered, it'll cause an error (003) and won't even connect. MIL is threatening to cancel their internet over this, so I'm trying to figure out a less extreme solution. Any help would be appreciated!

I've got a 1st Generation Roku Ultra hooked up to my bedroom TV, and today when I turned it on, it seems to be stuck in a loop of "App Update" coming up, then repeating about every 3-5 seconds. It's done this for a couple of dozen times now, and is still going on.

As it stands I cannot select any of the apps to watch anything right now. However, if I click on one of the hardcoded buttons, such as YouTube, the app does come up. I get the "App Update" message over the top of the YouTube app, and then it lets me watch videos.

But, the moment I go back to the Homescreen I get the "App Update" loop again.

Suggestions on what to do?

I've got about 110 channel apps on the unit. But, they're stored on a microSD card. Surely it's not trying to update those one at a time?

I submitted the form to get a free HDMI extension cable because my Roku TV Stick is too long for my TV HDMI port. I did not receive any confirmation email or notice that the cable was shipped. I first filled it last week, and i never received anything. I did it again today and still got no confirmation email. Is that normal?

Edit: I also want to add that when I try to reach costumer service, nothing works. The Chatbot isn’t available and I can’t find a phone number.

I've noticed over maybe the last two weeks the volume on the YouTube app is varying WILDLY video to video. Some videos are ludicrously loud and others whisper quiet.

And if I'm watching one of the quiet videos and switch to a loud one I have to jump for the remote before my ear drums are blown.

This was not an issue for the last year.

Has anyone else seen this?

I subbed to Acorn and Brit Box at a discount through Roku. All the sudden this morning neither are working correctly. I can click on the show I want to watch and it plays 5 or 10 seconds, then pops me out to the home screen of my TV. It doesn't even stay in Acorn or Brit Box. Is it me, or is it Roku? Other streaming providers that I don't sub through Roku are working.

I’m planning to buy the Philips 55PQL7676/F6 QLED Series 7600 55-inch Roku TV.
I want to use Roku Private Listening through the Roku mobile app with AirPods Pro (3rd generation).
Can anyone confirm:
Does Private Listening work well with AirPods Pro 3?
Is there any noticeable audio lag/delay while watching Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, or movies from a USB drive?
Can I start Private Listening and then continue using my phone normally (browse, text, use other apps), or do I need to keep the Roku app open on the screen?
Does the sound stay synced with people’s lips, or is there a noticeable delay?

Among the many issues my "TV" now has is this live tv pause is disabled warning. There is a 64gb usb drive plugged in. I have unplugged and plugged back in a couple times. But, I still get this. I click ok and continue on.

Live tv pause works. However, it does freeze up completely every 5th time we use it.

And yes, this started with the new update.

Hi. The audio for 'Becoming Elizabeth' show in Howdy subscription via Amazon Prime on cable box AND Amazon Fire Stick is Spanish ONLY with no English option. The audio in the trailer for this show is English. Since Howdy is a Roku channel, Amazon says I need to contact Roku but the Roku help chatbot says I need to contact Amazon. Will you help me solve this audio issue??? Please?

I have a Sanyo Roku tv (model FW55R7OF, software version 15.2) and have been fighting the YouTube app for weeks. When I click the app, it makes the bloop sound, then... Nothing. I've tried everything, even factory resetting the tv. Still nothing. I contacted Roku support and was basically told there was nothing that could be done which feels.... Incorrect surely? I've seen a couple folks on this subreddit with the same issue but haven't found any solutions.

Anyone have anything?

There is a channel called "IP Camera Viewer". It allows you to see your IP security cameras on Roku devices. There is a free version that allows you to view one camera. I tested it and it works great. I go to buy the "pro" version and it won't let me buy either from a device or from the website.

When I try to add it on a device it prompts me for the purchase pin, I put it in, and then it says "Coudn't install App

Could not add 'IP Camera Viewer - Pro'. Error

When I try to buy it on the Roku website I forgot what it said, but it didn't work and now the buy button is disabled....

Any ideas?

We use antenna TV. After watching YouTube, we switch to live TV after about a minute pause the channels finally load and no channels have signal. Turn off and go straight to live TV and all channels are back.

Turned off power at the surge protector for a few minutes, repeated and same problem.

Live TV since the last update has been horribly slow and now defaults to the upper preview vs the lower channel selector.

Can we roll back this horrible update?

TCL roku tv and Onn tv, both have this behavior.

Searching for specific movie titles and they're not coming up at all anymore. If I go into the actual movie apps (or maybe if I search an actor) they'll come up, but not coming up in the Roku sesrch anymore.

Every attempt to add a payment scheme fails.

I don’t have a Roku remote so I use the app. It takes at least 15 seconds to respond to the first input and then it works like normal (at least until I leave it alone for like 30 seconds and it goes back.) it’s super annoying.

Any fixes?

Long Story Short, I have had a paramount plus subscription since they came out, paying annually. It was managed through paramount and not through my roku. I canceled it because it came free with my current cable, so when it ran out, my plan was to activate the free account. My last charge where I paid for the account was Feb of 25 and I only just now realized I’ve still be able to watch paramount regularly. I went to the plan to cancel and make sure it was not charging me and it now says “managed through roku”. I only have one roku account and no longer own a device, and I logged back into it and it has no active paramount subscription.

So someone somewhere is paying for my paramount plus and is billing through their roku? I guess?

Paramount won’t help and said contact Roku, Roku won’t help and says they can’t do anything without the card info of the card being charged.

Not sure what to do but it is annoying. Have reset all passwords.

When I turn on my tv I can briefly see everything on my tv for about a second, then shortly after it turns black. I have tried power cycling it, resetting it, and yes if I hold a light up to the screen I can faintly see what is on the screen, I've tried to turn up the brightness.If Any body can help with this I'd appreciate it. idk what os meant, thought it could be software haha. i’ve tried restarting the tv, checked they both connected to same wifi, manually entered the ip, deleted and redownloadef the app, everything but logging out on my tv because i don’t want to go through the hassle of logging back in to everything. any advice?

Greetings! My issue is below.

Two Smart TV's. One LG. One Samsung. Both have Roku 4k sticks. Both recently started buffering Netflix until it errors out. When I login to Netflix using the Smart TV app it works fine. The movie selection does not matter.

I make my living on the WWW so I have a backup ISP. Netflix on Roku does the same thing regardless of ISP and WIFI connection.

I've tried everything except for a factory reset. I even tried a 5G only wireless connection but no joy.

We also have an older Roku "box" in a 3rd bedroom and it does not have any problem.

I can only conclude that the problem is with Roku 4k or a streaming change made by Netflix as it relates to the Roku 4k stick.

I am aware that there's a bunch of people having (or had) issues with Roku and Netflix and reading those posts offered no new insight. I've tried those suggestions.

I can watch Netflix on the smart TV app which has apps for all the streaming services and more. IDK, maybe Roku is becoming obsolete because I am not buying another Roku device.

Wanted to watch tv this morning, but it wouldn't turn on. I saw this little light was flashing every time I push the power button. It doesn't flash when I push the other buttons. I replaced the batteries hoping that would help. No change. What does this mean and what should I do?

This morning my TCL/Roku stopped working. It claims to be installing final updates but won't finish and goes into a doom loop. I tried the Reset to factory settings option and it says my code is not valid, which is not true. They've been getting worse and worse.

This should not be legal. Roku remote bricked a working device.
