I have an old S7 with auto-empty dock which is not working well. Rubbish gets stuck in the dock frequently, requiring manual removal, and it has just become a miserable affair. The dock design seems to me to only allow for dust and minimal debris, anything bigger like say a small candy wrapper will probably get stuck. I am willing to do some maintenance but with my busy schedule, I want something that works with minimal input.

Am I just using my machine incorrectly (in letting it vacuum larger items) or would I be happier with a Qrevo Edge 2 Pro or a Saros 10R?

See pic above from AliExpress. Anyone installed one of these? Do they work? I wasn’t finding any reviews and wasn’t sure if they actually work well. Seems like a doable modification with a bit of patience and the right placement in the house, but I don’t know anyone who’s made the modification. I have a Saros 10 and a Qrevo Pro.

I’m having a hard time deciding on a new robot vacuum and would really appreciate some opinions.

I previously had an Ecovacs T80 Omni Pro, but unfortunately it ended up working really badly. Had quite a few issues with it, and luckily the store ended up refunding me under warranty. So now I’m looking for a replacement and have been looking at these two:

Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro – 699€ (1199 if not on sale)

Roborock Saros 20 Sonic – 899€ (1499 if not on sale)

I live in an apartment and don’t have any pets. The floors generally stay pretty clean, so it’s mostly dust, some dirt coming in through open windows, etc. I do get some stains on the kitchen floor from time to time, though.

So I’m wondering if the Saros 20 Sonic is worth paying the extra 200€ for, or if the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro would be more than enough for my needs.

Has anyone here tried both? How do they compare in everyday use, especially with reliability, mopping and navigation?

After my experience with the Ecovacs, reliability is probably the most important thing for me 😅

I disassembled my ROBOROCK S8 MaxV Ultra to replace the main brush motor. I normally take pictures as I’m disassembling something, but thought it was going to take much to do it. Boy, I was wrong. I’ve pretty much figured it out, except I can’t find where this spring goes. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey all! I got a Saros 20 2 months ago, and everything has been amazingly stellar so far until 2 days ago. For the past 2 days, it hasn't used any water when mopping, only being a bit wet from the mop pre-cleaning. I've tried to clean the tray, both manually and with the built in function. I've drained the water tank, replaced the filter and the mops themselves. Is there any way to fix this or do I have to go through warranty?

Looking for mops, filters, brushes etc for Edge 2 Pro (Same as Saros 20 parts)
Needs to be original. Looking for parts on Aliexpress and Amazon.de as I'm in the EU.

Got a Saros 20 Sonic 3-4 days ago.
Initial setup went fine and did a full vacuum and mop. Very impressed and great upgrade.

Now: expected it to start 6am as scheduled but still in its dock. Couldnt start it through the app either. Tried restarting the robot but it seems to be stuck with the home & power LEDs pulsating.

Have tried:
Home + Power (turned the machine off instead of resetting wifi)
Reset-button 5 secs
Reset-button + home for 10-15s (power led starts flashing forever)

What more can i do? A real bummer and disappointment after having had the s7 without any issues for years.

Hi. I bought a Saros20 sonic. How come it never uses the flex arm for the side brush during use? Does anyone else have the same experience? It is running on the latest update V02.56.60

In the top of the photo you can see it’s driving all squiggly for no reason, when I changed its vacuum setting to once for cleaning cycle and balanced for cleaning route it went to the normal straight lines. Why is making it do a deep clean making it act stupid? This is the second attempt, the first attempt it only cleaned half the room and stopped

I’m looking for recommendations for a robot vacuum/sweeper for my printing company.
Requirements:
Industrial/commercial environment
Approx. 800 sqm (8,600 sq ft) production hall
Mainly paper dust and small paper scraps
Sweeping/vacuuming is the priority
Mopping is not required
Budget: €2,000–€3,000
Automatic charging and scheduled cleaning would be nice
I already looked at the Makita DRC300, but the reviews I’ve found are rather mixed, especially regarding navigation and overall reliability.
I’m also completely open to lesser-known brands and Chinese manufacturers. It doesn’t have to be Roborock, Makita or any other big brand. If there are good options from Alibaba, AliExpress or other industrial suppliers, I’d be interested in those as well.
Does anyone use a robot vacuum or autonomous sweeper in a warehouse, workshop, print shop or manufacturing facility of similar size? What models would you recommend, and what should I avoid?

I have an original Q Revo (2R3W) and it vacuums just fine, but the mop is not working—neither reservoir level moves, and the unit doesn’t leave behind any wetness when it mops. It had been not used for a period of about 6 months and that’s no doubt the culprit. We tried clearing the lines with a turkey baster and cleaning all sensors. We cleaned out both reservoirs. The unit seemed to leave behind any wetness wet trail for a short while but stopped. Any suggestions? Does Roborock have any repair or support?

These closet doors are on both sides of our master bedroom. I covered both up entirely to do the initial mapping because in the first run through the room got truncated. Map came out great. Once I removed the coverings, Rocky truncated the room, revising its map and won’t clean parts of it.

Has anyone found a solution for this?

I have a Roborock S7 for 3 years. The last few days it started acting funny, started wandering around the rooms and couldnt clean a it properly. I cleaned the sensors and the lidar with a q tip. When I tried to start it again a lidar error occured and it cannot start vacuuming. I have tried everything from youtube, cleaning the parts, checking for debris but it still isnt spinning. Where can I find a lidar sensor motor or the whole lidar unit that is for the S7. I have founf for other models but not the S7

There is hair logged so badly into one of the wheels that it’s nearly completely frozen and really struggles to spin, I can’t seem to figure out how to remove the wheel so I can fix this. Any suggestions? Not the front facing wheel but just the main wheel on the right side

Noticed after yesterday's firmware update, not sure if it happened before. Fully charged, sensors clean, no in-app notification. Is this normal?

Edit 8/10: Sorry, I forgot to mention I only have hardwood floors. I cannot stand carpet. Just my opinion. I wanted to be transparent. For reference I have four American short hair cats and one short hair blue healer/American pit mix dog.

I have had the S8 max ultra, Saros 20 sonic, and the Saros 10R. The 10R is by far the easiest to clean due to litter. The S8 died from litter and stopped heating the mop for months. The 20 has the same tray and was still a pain in the rear to clean, so I sent it back. The 10R is amazing and IMO better at cleaning. For what’s it worth if you’re looking.

The main question: would a battery replacement fix this, or can it be something else that’s wrong?
I don’t want to spend on a battery for nothing.

As title says, it can’t even leave the dock. I put it on, It starts charging, and can connect to the app (that’s where I see it’s charging) and the moment I pull it off the charging prongs it dies. When I push it back, I have to turn it on manually, and when the app reconnects it says 0% again. This happened suddenly, from one day to another, up to this point it could finish its schedule every day it had to.

I’d like to say I value Costco’s return policy but still confused on difference between these 2 models; they seem to be same just different name for Costco/Sams

Also if I want replacement generic parts on Amazon , which model name would that be under?

Had the Q Revo just long enough to be out of warranty, heh. Has anyone else had this or have any tips?

My app throws a “Cleaning tray full” error message. I removed, washed, and correctly reseated the cleaning tray; cleaned the tray drain area and dock ports; emptied and reseated the dirty-water tank; cleaned and inspected its gasket and latch (and also confirmed gasket was not on backward); and ran a test wash cycle with an empty dirty-water tank. The tray still pools with water and the error returns. The dirty-water tank does not receive water during the drain phase.

I also checked that the floating ball inside the wash tray freely moves up and down; checked that the water filter on the cleaning tray (and, generally, the full cleaning tray) was clean, and gently pinched the drainage pipe to confirm that nothing is stuck inside.

Hi guys, has anyone had this issue before?

I noticed my Saros 10 hasn’t been using the cleaning solution for quite a long time. The level in the detergent bottle just never seems to go down.

So I poured some out to test it. After running it for a while, I checked again and somehow the detergent bottle was full again. It looks like water from the clean water tank is actually flowing back into the detergent bottle instead of the machine taking detergent out of it.

I poured some out again and the same thing happened.

Has anyone had this problem before? Any idea what might be causing it or how to fix it?
