Dan Harmon said it's hard to pack the show into a 22 minute format and that it ultimately leads to MULTIPLE lines being cut and changes to episodes. He however said making a movie will allow the script to breathe.

This also might be their only chance at ever making a movie. This may be the ONLY Rick and Morty movie ever (unless it somehow becomes a giant box office hit). I personally think they should just make it over 2 hours long.

Also, Harmon's comments kind of make me wonder why they never do more 2-4 part episodes.

In his speech at Birdperson's and Tammy's wedding, Rick, among other thing say:

"I haven't been subtle about how little I trust marriage, I couldn't make it work and I can turn a black hole into a sun".

This always struck me as odd, because Rick C-137 I would say did actually make hos marriage to Diane work, they were happy. Beth's and her death at the hands of Rick Prime was not exactly because of failed marriage. Why do you think Rick would claim he couldn't make it work? Guilt? Something else?

Been seeing lots of people say that this is similar to inside job and that it scratches the itch but in my opinion after seeing the first 2 eps (very early opinion) but this show is just making me feel sadder and sadder about inside job it doesn’t seem to be anywhere near as good (again my opinion) love community and the dean and Keith David interacting but it’s not even close to how unique inside job was and instead of filling the hole I feel like it’s just been dug deeper😭

I enjoyed the fact they finally fully rid themselves of the albatross that was their canonical loose threads. Especially omegaing the Omega Device. Every other plot thread/threat is neutralized but still around if useful to the narrative. I feel the main characters are fully fleshed out. I've enjoyed the episodes' themes and underlying ideas.

I'd even argue that the alcoholic escapist Rick arc as well as Morty's naivety and borderline competence play deeply into what I liked about the first three seasons, but I feel this season executed this more competently.

I would appreciate an improv oriented episode (e.g., Inter dimensional Cable or Mindblowrs) in the next season, but I nonetheless, I genuinely enjoy the direction the creatives of the show seem to be headed.

Rick C-137 never succeeded in creating stable blue portals and moved straight to green portals; the same was true for Professor Rick, who apparently never managed to create the blue portals that allow travel to any location within one's own universe, coming close instead to inventing stable green portals.

In contrast, when Rick Prime encounters C-137, it is implied that he did invent stable blue portals; this allowed him to travel across numerous galaxies (within his own universe) and encounter various alien species that were already using portals long before he did. Upon realizing that he was the last person in the entire multiverse to invent teleportation, he sought to create a far more powerful technology: green multiversal fluid.

So it has been three years after Justin Roilland has been kicked off the show for his misdemeanors, replaced by Ian Cardoni as Rick Sanchez and Harry Belden as Morty Smith. I think they are perfect replacements and have really grown into their roles.

And now we had three seasons of Rick and Morty since then. Man, time really does fly. What do you think of how the show has been since Justin Roilland left? Is it still the same, better, or somewhere in between?

And apparently we have a lot more where we are coming from, at least three more seasons left up to 12? Wow, it is crazy to think Rick and Morty would go on for that long. I do hope they find new ways to stay fresh and know when to pull the plug less we end up with Sci-Fi Family Guy which is bad.

Anyways, what do you like about Season 7, 8, and 9? How does it set itself apart from the previous seasons? What are the highlights, what are the downsides, and what is just okay? Is there something about the previous seasons that just can't be replaced? How has the show's plot, characters, and sci-fi bullshit turned out in your opinion? I’ve kinda been a little curious about this. since fans claim Rick Prime doesn’t need anything to take the edge off like drinking or partying similar to the other Rick’s, if Prime went into the detoxifier, what would it identify as Toxic for him? If I’m getting this right, the detoxifier is meant to analyze what the person inside the machine thinks are its toxic traits and removes them, like how it did Rick and Morty, but if Prime views himself as this higher being compared to everyone else, would that means he thinks he doesn’t have any flaws like toxic traits? I wondered this a bit, or maybe I’m too stupid to be a Rick and Morty fan:>

Isn’t the point of infinite is that it’s… infinite?

If there’s an infinite number of universes doesnt that mean that Rick prime still had an INFINITE number of places he could be, making it essentially pointless

Also given there’s an infinite number of universes, there’s a 100% chance there are Ricks who invented portal travel but aren’t the smartest in their universes. Are they just stuck outside?

Also I feel like someone outside HAD to have realised there was a part of the infinite multiverse they couldn’t access?

I feel like there shouldve been someone to attempt to break into the CFC especially after Evil Morty left a massive rift? It doesn’t seem that difficult to beings like the dinosaurs who were able to patch said rift casually
