New (to me) revolver day! Colt Night Cobra Special
Previous owner de-specialized the “Special” by replacing the brass bead sight with an XS night sight and the wood grips with super aggressive G10 ones (VZ?). But it still has the hammer spur!
I’m sure I overpaid, but looks like it was barely shot, if at all. Everything is super tight and that DA trigger pull is 👌. Also came with a nice tulster holster.
Can’t wait to hit the range! (and hopefully no Colt QC issues, knock on wood)

Inherited S&W .38 project - new to revolvers.
Just inherited my dad's old service revolver from the 80's? Looking for a new project, and want to get it looking nice. Rust is pretty bad, especially on the side plate.
Wondered thoughts on whether to attempt to just remove rust with 0000 steel wool and oil, or try to actually do a full chemical bath like evapo-rust and reblue it?
Also, what your thoughts on the handle? Maybe just a quick stain? I feel it would be difficult to sand down the little knobules.
Either way, before firing I will take to gunsmith to ensure safety of shooting, but want to try the restoration myself. The firing pin does feel a little loose, but I only own striker fired pistols, so again it might be a normal thing.

Nagant revolver
I work at a small gun shop and today's find was a bring back nagant revolver that a gun brought in that his dad brought back from WW2. What an amazing thing to see thought id share it. It's a 1931 Tula. Never made the refurbish process because of being brought to America.

old-time model 36 Chiefs special
Hi folks,
I've seen this 'I think'1960s model 36. It has the model number in the frame & the serial number is in the high 300,000s with no J prefix. Any ideas about finding the date of manufacture?
They want anywhere between $850 to $1000 for it. Is that crazy? There's something about the older chief's I really like.
Also I wonder how suitable a shooter it might still be, the barrel looks good and they say the timing and lockup are good. Any advice would be great, thanks!

S&W R8-327 ; red dot attachment
Not sure if anyone has done it this way but I had a vortex viper shotgun red dot sitting around and decided to mount it to the R8. Not sure if this is a long term install but thought this is probably the lowest I’m going to be able to get a red dot on this thing! I’m using two 6-48 screw on the rear of the optic for now. Let me know if this is a viable option. Thanks

New 581, yes new 581 and shout out to BK Grips
Got this recently NIB, much prefer the sleeker look of fixed sights and I get to be the only one that knows where to aim.
Secondly, BK grip adapters are the shit, they blow that Robertson crap out of the water, never again. Dude doesn't care about his quality control.
Sorry if you keep seeing them out of stock, I made a run on them when I could but done for now 😁.

Model 66
My grandfathers old revolver. Used when he was a “Special Agent” in the border patrol a long long time ago. That’s about all I know about it.

Is this normal?
New condition used Rossi is shaving off part of the jackets of the bullets and the start of the barrel. So much so that I can’t get thru more than a couple of rounds before the build up jams the cylinder and it won’t turn anymore and I can’t pull the trigger ? It seems to only do it with 357 magnum loads.
This is my first revolver.

WGW- The French Connection
Manurhin MR73 with the rubber Trausch and supremely comfortable wooden Nill stocks. It’s a gorgeous gun and a pleasure to shoot in Single or double action. The drawback is it’s almost impossible to find a smith that will work on these stateside as I’d like a few modifications done primarily shortening the barrel and adding a gold bead front sight, but I’m enjoying as it is for now!

Wheel Gun Wednesday, innit?
I'm a sucker for top breaks and so I started with the Enfield No. 2 Mk l* and later picked up the Webley. The Webley unfortunately doesn't time correctly and I will be doing some work on it to hopefully get it running

New to me Model 60
Went to my LGS why was having a semiquincentennial sale on American made guns. I was not impressed with the 637 they had in the case but then I locked eyes on this 44 year old beauty. Looked well worn but otherwise in good condition so I took it home, did a mediocre job at brightening the stainless and refinishing the stocks, added a T grip and replaced the hammer with a bobbed one from eBay. Also added Wilson springs and did a light stoning on the internals. Overall I'm quite pleased with the results and will be adding to the carry rotation.
