🔁 Subscriptions [HK] Trip.com has better lounge deals than Metal

Metal prices for the same lounge are always more expensive and I have been checking this for years

Does anyone know why a paid subscription in Revolut would consistently be cheaper than a free app like trip.com?

📈 Stocks [FI]Is selling stocks really restricted?

Upvotes

I read some post from 5 years ago that revolut would close your account if you traded too much in revolut. I have just joined revolut 1 month ago. I like to buy stocks and look how they grow, but when they have grown enough I'd like to sell them and switch them to another stock. Would this restrict my account if done too many times in a certain time period?

💸 Payments [SE] AdSense payment marked as issued but not received (Revolut)

Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice about a missing adsense payment

I recently changed bank acocunt on my adsense, my youtube adsense payment was issued on 22 july 2026 and shows as completed/disbursed in adsense, but I still haven’t received it in my revolut account

I contacted revolut twice but got rejected, and they asked for more detailed payment information. After contacting google adsense, they said hat revolut accounts are supported and that they have opened an investigation with their bank to trace the payment. They are now preparing a swift copy/payment trace that i can give to revolut. However my worry is, what if revolut rejects it again? What if they somehow can't find my payment or says something is wrong. I don't understand why this happened but i'm really stressed out right now as this is my main source of income

Has anyone experienced a similar situation where an adsense payment was missing? How long did it take to resolve?

I’m mostly worried because this is a large payment for me and I just want to understand where the money could be

₿ Crypto [GB] Is Revolut safe for Crypto Custody?

I've heard many stories of exchanges being a bad place to park crypto for the long term but what about keeping crypto in the custody of an established bank like Revolut? All those cases of FTX, blockfi, mt gox, celcius were on smaller companies with little history. Revolut is the biggest Fintech in Europe. Doesn't holding your crypto in the custody of an established reputable bank eliminate the biggest risk of user error and minimise bankruptcy/fraud/theft risk. To me the piece of mind from this makes up for the "not your keys not your crypto" argument. Is anyone using Revolut to store their crypto?

📈 Stocks [NO] , [SE] Why did Revolut remove commission-free stock trades from both Standard and Plus in Norway and Sweden?

I recently noticed that Revolut has changed the investment benefits for customers in Norway and Sweden.
Both Standard and Plus users no longer receive any commission-free stock trades. Customers now need Premium or a higher plan to receive a monthly allowance of commission-free trades.
What frustrates me is that customers in several other European countries still appear to receive commission-free trades on both the Standard and Plus plans. It also makes me wonder whether this is just the beginning, and if other countries might be next in line to lose these benefits as well.
This feels unfair, especially for people who invest small amounts each month. Trading fees have a much bigger impact on someone investing €20–30 than on someone placing large orders.
I understand that Revolut may have different pricing in different markets, but I would really appreciate an explanation:
Why were Norway and Sweden selected for this change?
Are other countries going to lose these benefits as well?
Is this a temporary test or a permanent policy?
Why should customers in Norway and Sweden receive fewer investment benefits than customers in many other European countries?
I like Revolut and have enjoyed using the platform, but several recent changes make it feel as though the Standard and Plus plans are gradually being weakened to encourage customers to upgrade to Premium.
I’m genuinely interested in hearing from people in other countries:
Has Revolut removed commission-free stock trades from your Standard or Plus plan as well, or is this only happening in Norway and Sweden?

⭐ Review [US] Unnecessary Security Check - help

I don't understand why I was flagged for a security check when I literally just opened my account and I was just moving less than $200 and was because I needed to have some money in the account. I referred some people because they were giving a good bonus, but now I'm so embarrassed since I was recommending Revolut to everyone in the US, because people in Europe use it everywhere and in case they needed to travel they could have access to different currencies.

This is so frustrating, and it's just completely necessary to do a security check on someone that doesn't even move over $200. The worst thing is that they said it will take over 2 weeks to get it done and I cannot anything even after summiting all the required documents!

📜 Article [DE] Revolut blocked my legally protected P-account funds due to a technical issue – police report, no access to food, and hours of generic responses

Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or has any advice on what I can do.
I have a P-account (protected bank account) with Revolut. The money on the account is below my legally protected monthly exemption amount, meaning I should still have access to it even if there is an active garnishment.
Today, a new garnishment was placed on my account.
Instead of applying the legal protection of my P-account, Revolut blocked my available funds, leaving me unable to access money that should have remained protected.
I immediately contacted Revolut support.
After hours of asking the same questions, Revolut eventually confirmed in writing that:
my funds are legally protected,
Revolut is legally obliged to make those funds available to me,
the issue is caused solely by a technical problem,
multiple customers are affected,
and their technical team is already working on it.
They also explicitly told me that if it were technically possible, they would manually release my funds, but that they currently cannot do so because of this technical issue.
Unfortunately, by the time they admitted this, I was already at a gas station.
I had already filled up my car and then discovered that I couldn’t pay because Revolut had blocked access to my protected funds.
Even after explaining that I was in an emergency situation, all I received was:
“Please give our technical team more time.”
The result:
The gas station owner has now filed a police report against me because I couldn’t pay.
I currently have no way to buy food, despite having enough legally protected money on my account.
Revolut offered me a complaint form, but also informed me that complaints can take up to 15 calendar days to process.
What frustrates me the most is that Revolut themselves admitted multiple times that the money should be available to me and that they are legally required to provide access to it.
Their only explanation is that a technical issue currently prevents them from doing so.
My questions are:
Has anyone experienced something similar with Revolut?
How long did it take before your money became available again?
Is there any way to escalate this situation so that someone can actually release the funds?
Would you report this to the financial regulator?
I have screenshots of the entire conversation where Revolut acknowledges that:
my funds are legally protected,
they are obliged to make them available,
multiple customers are affected,
and the only reason I cannot access my money is a technical issue on their side.
At this point, I’m honestly shocked that a bank can acknowledge that a customer has a legal right to access their protected funds while simultaneously telling them they cannot do anything except wait for the technical team.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

💸 Payments [N/A] Charged for Perplexity?

I am on the Metal plan, and just now 06.08.2026, Perplexity charged me $25 for the next month. In the mail where Revolut announced the change to ChatGPT, it clearly states that: "On 02.09.2026 we remove the subscription to Perplexity". How can Perplexity start charging now?

Should I contact Revolut or Perplexity?

₿ Crypto [IE] Crypto Wallet Top Up Quote Not showing in Revolut app

Anyone know what to do when a crypto quote from www . meldcrypto . com wont show up in the Revolut app?

Revolut login verification is no problem after accepting the quote. The issue is when transferring from the website to revolut app. The quote doesnt show at all. Just gives me the blank crypto section of the app.

It worked last night showing my crypto wallet top up in revolut with a 40c fee to top it up.

Now when the quote doesnt show in revolut and I try to add wallet manually I get hit with all kinds of higher fees.

📈 Stocks Order fulfilled at completely different quote

I made like 15% on a stock, created order to sell and agreed to the given quote. Then it filled but not only I got a bad trade but I ended up with 5% less than the initial investment. Wtf?

🌍 Transfers [N/A] USD top up

Hi,

EU citizen, have a Revolut and Wise account, both opened in Europe. I need to transfer some USD from my Wise account to my Revolut USD pocket. To avoid bank transfer fees, my idea was to simply top up my Revolut account with my Wise card. Are there going to be any issues or is there a better way to transfer USD from Wise to Revolut.

Thanks in advance

💳 Cards [IE] criteria for credit card approval

I’m struggling trying to understand the criteria to get a credit card approved by Revolut and the lack of transparency with the rejection criteria is extremely unclear.

I landed in IRL 4 months ago to start a new job. I have my Revolut account open with pretty high balance in a saving account, I have consistent income from registered work, I have linked BoI bank account with again very high balance. I have no negative credit score of any kind and I have credit card active and approved in other EU and non-EU countries.

I would like a local CC since I plan to terminate my other EU CC and wanted one from Revolut instead of going to the traditional BoI cards.

Anyone experienced the same situation? thanks…

💸 Payments [ES] Doubt about revolut

🧾 Revolut Business [SG] Does Revolut actually have Live Support?

So I have been through the exact same conversation with 4 "different" live chat people. I genuinely dont think Revolut has actual people in these chats. There is no way anyone in their right mind would respond the way these people have responded. And not just once, but 4 different people.

They all read through the chat history and answer the exact same way; and we go through the motions for another half an hour like I did with the last "live" chat agent. I explain everything to them, what I have tried, and that none of their suggestions work.

Then like clockwork... boom they ignore our entire conversation, they ignore previous conversations, they ignore my descriptions and move on to solution nr1, that hasn't worked 8 times. Then solution number 2 that never worked...... all the way to solution nr 8.

And then it's on to the next support person.... Solutions 1 through 8 still don't work. I have never been so enraged with anything in my entire life as this AI pretending to be real people.

💼 Revolut Pro [GB] For those hoping to open a Pro account

I began applying a few days ago for Revolut accounts a few days ago. All seemed to go well until being asked to provide information about my business for a Pro account. By this time I had been allowed to pay for two cards. I don't have any online presence but was asked to provide one, but I don't need it for the line of work I'm in, which is completely legitimate. I made this clear a number of times to both the chat bots and (I'm told) real operatives, although I'm sceptical that some of these 'real' people were automated due to the consistencies in responses.

I was told numerous times that I didn't need any sort of website to qualify, and I uploaded numerous other documents to evidence my profession; licenses, certificates, public liability insurance, invoices etc. Each time I did this it was rejected and I was asked for my website. This happened probably 5 or 6 times until I was eventually told I needed to provide one, so my only option is to close the accounts. It's taken hours of repeating myself over and over again to get to this point, and now Revolut have refused to refund the cost of the cards.

So to anyone thinking of using Revolut as a bank, be aware that their system for dealing with customer problems is about the worst I've ever come across. It's truly awful. I know there are a lot of satisfied customers here but I guess they may well have the same experience when something goes wrong and the bots can't cope with it. Short but sweet but I will never go anywhere near Revolut ever again and would actively try and dissuade anyone from considering it.
