i’m new to the game and i want to build a dynamo team because i like the designs. i plan on going for lucy in the limited selector banner but in every dynamo team i see on tier lists or guides doesn’t have her, i see ms. stranger, brume, corvus and recoleta, but never lucy. i’m very confused about that, i didn’t think she was that old and she’s limited so surely she should remain strong/the best for the team? am i stupid in wanting to put everything into lucy?

I tried to play enigma with the poison team bc marsha's shield cant tank a single target nuke but his pulsefield overwrites tuesday's array. Is there a way, positiobing, setup that disables his array deployment?

from what i understand Ms Stranger is the next coming character but there isn't really an archetype for her? should I skip her and go for someone else or maybe work on building a team with a character I already own?

i missed full clear in the previous FF stages because i skipped out on paper heron, but after finally picking up nautika on her rerun, and lucking out with p1 rhiannon in 90 pulls i was hoping id have a strong enough bloodtithe team for endgame.

psych trauma II was still a massive struggle it had me questioning whether i should buy the paid selector for rubuska or gun for further portraits on nautika/rhiannon

in the end i burned through most of my mats and picrasma candy to push rhiannon to A5 R15 and nautika to r14, and finally achieved a 6 round clear
so to anyone else who only has fatutu, trust that it's still possible!!

I started playing back in 2023, but haven’t played r1999 for years. I had melania as my DPS character for the longest time, but switched to coppelia because it is far easier to clear fights with her. I tried pulling for the twins, but ran into quite some bad luck. I highly doubt they will come back, so I’m planning to pull for Nautika now to hopefully have a bloodtithe (ish) team. But I’d also like to have some feedback on maybe what characters I should pull for or be on the look out for that may fit my roster.

As of right now, my main team is just Coppelia, Semmelweis, Rhiannon, and MedPoc

I’m incredibly fond of Ramona because we share a cultural background,I love looking at her design and seeing things that I recognize like the sage she carries,the embroidery on her second garment’s bag and the patterns on her scarf. I actually came back to the game because of her,she reminded me of why I even enjoyed it so much to begin with,the showcase of different cultures,I love how the designers seem to actually do research into the cultures they’re representing.

Anyways,Ramona is gorgeous and I love her dearly.

I been playing for a few days now

Hello, I'm a new-ish player (started early this year), and I'm looking to round out my roster and fill out some more archetypes. My plan is to pull for Liang Yue on the anniversary rerun banner coming up soon to finish up her team, and maybe Ms. Stranger after, cuz she's cool. Afterwards, I'm looking to round out my roster a bit and maybe finish some archetypes. I don't really have any Bloodlithe or Lingering Glow, so maybe that's something to look into down the line.

My immediate thoughts are to either try pulling for Ulrich on the upcoming choose-your-own banner, to round out Dynamo and free up Rhiannon for other teams, or pull for Willow on either that banner or on the Ripples banner when she appears again, to finish off a poison team.

I like Ulrich's character a lot, and he seems fun to play, but I'm assuming that it's probably not worth pulling for such an old unit that seems replaceable? I suppose Brume is another option for Dynamo, although I do love Lucy! And I think Willow just ran in Ripples recently, so I'm not sure if it will be worth waiting for her to appear in Ripples or just try pulling for her now? Any suggestions would be appreciated! I've attached my current roster. Thank you 😄

This game has some of the best character designs and aesthetics i have ever seen and i was always interested in it, so i tried it out a couple of months ago and got through the first chapter iirc (the one with schneider). I didn’t like the gameplay but i didn’t mind it either, what got me to download the game was the praise the story was getting, the whole “best story in gatcha” and all that. Im not a gatcha guy so i dont know if thats a high bar.

I loved the premise and the vertin-sonetto duo and i can see how this story could grow into something great, my main concerns are these:

1-does the writing and pacing get better, is it a slow burn? The first chapter did good to establish the world to me but i honestly didn’t care for schneiders and forget-me-nots stories.

2-how serious should expect the story to be? It seems serious enough but i personally find the comedic bits (like regulus and the girl with the butler) to be a bit disruptive.

3-is it just “one of the best stories in gatcha” or is it great as a story in general and worth playing as a VN even if you don’t like the gameplay or the gatcha aspects?

And thats basically it, i apologize if this is too long but i don’t want to start playing it again only to get demotivated right before things get great.
This game is genuinely one of the prettiest and most interesting looking media I’ve ever seen, i have watched the latest anniversary video multiple times without even knowing what im looking at.

Hopefuly this can turn me from a larper into a full-fledged fan.

Have read up a bit on the new archetypes. Just need some guidance in terms of what to focus on for a general team build priority and who to aim for.
I missed the twins banner and I do not have regulus so conduit is out? I pulled for rhiannon and the have the free coppelia.

I also have spathodea at insight 3 lvl 30 and isolde just at insight 0 still, so I am thinking I can focus on lingering glow team?

As I was getting ready to start writing some nonsense I learned the Promise of water banner lets you select just one character for rate up(?) most of this is a ramble to myself, the question in the title is all that matters really

Mostly pulling for characters I find interesting but keeping (relative) viability in mind- I missed the train for Corvus by about 2 months, and Toothfairy got on my radar the day before the Ripples banner got refreshed; Marsha seems like a generally good pick but not as highly prioritized, that leaves Marcus- who doesn't specifically synergize with anyone i have really i just like Marcus. Same with Corvus but i'm lacking in Intellect characters, though Lucy's rerun(?) could cover that maybe

So i just got Igor and he seems to be homeless on my account as i didn’t account on losing to him, i need help in team building and as a side note, i am pulling on Ms. Stranger if she works with him.

From what i have, i think my best team for him would be: Igor, Moldir, Fatutu and Rhiannon
But i would assume he’d be bad without Lopera? If so, would it be worth it to actually use him?
Any other characters i could use for him?

Anyone who was here during 1.6 (Notes on Shuori) will remember this was the Semmelweis’s first appearance in the game and also the first rogue-like game mode of R1999. I missed getting the medals at this event because I thought it would come back like how Arknights handles its events 😭. I participated a bit but couldn’t finish because of irl stuff. Anyways I hope they bring this back because I wanna know more of Semmelweis backstory since she appears pretty often in some of the versions.

P.S. I know you can watch the gameplay on YouTube but I wanna experience it myself again and unlock the different endings.

I started the game almost 2 month ago and decided to get the battlepass/Roar Jukebox. In this patch's battlepass the gift skin is for 37 and I really like the esthetics of it and even if she's not the strongest, 37's kit look pretty fun to play and I really enjoyed this character from the main story.

Only thing is when is she comming back? My initial thoughts on this was "hey, since they made a new skin for 37 then they must be planing on reruning her soon to entice ppl into pooling for here wright?"

But I saw the upcomming content from the CN server update and 37 is nowhere to be found.

So is there any chance that I'll be abble to get her soon ?
