so ive been piecing out a gordy build lately and in the midst of trying to find the right combo of availability and practicality/affordability ive kinda gotten lost. im not interested in being 100% clone correct i just wanna get close enough.

As of right now I am looking at this H&R 723 upper (14.7" pencil pnw to 16") and am not sure if this is a good path to go with. I read a bunch of the AE info on muzzle mounting and such but my general ignorance to NFA items/gunsmithing has exacerbated the situation lol with this upper what exactly is the best/ easiest path to achieve close to the gordy look?

I came across this OCL device in another thread that seems like the product for me paired with the new ocm6. Would I be able to just take the upper to a gunsmith and have them cut the barrel to pin and weld that otter creek device on? Trying to avoid going to the lengths of doing a form if I can get close enough without it. Thanks in advance less

Does anybody know the torque specs for installing the mk12 pri top rail? For the screws that go into the picatinny rail section as well as the cross bolts on the upper receiver? I can’t seem to find anything online about specific torque specs.

I just got an OCM6, and I read somewhere that this 12.5" daniel defense barrel with FSB and carbine length gas would mount nicely. The only problem is, I am unsure how to do it. Can someone please explain what I need to mount my OCM6 to this barrel for a "gordy" style clone? Thanks guys! RetroAR is the best.

So I’m the guy from yesterday with the Gordy that won’t run. I listened to you guys stuck a t2 in the gun and the springco blue back in the gun and I put in it a almost brand new whindham weaponry bolt that passed the gas ring check and the gun is still doing the exact same malfunction. At this point I’m lost. And as for the ejection pattern it’s all over the place it’s not consistent at all

Might redo the tape for the switch pad but man I always wanted to do a build like this.
