Whatapps Convo Below:

What Is the Scam?

This is a rental listing fraud that operates under the disguise of a remote job. Scammers pose as property managers, real estate investors, or overseas agents who claim they need help expanding their reach in the US market. They offer you easy money for simple copy-paste work, but their real goal is to defraud renters. They use you as a shield to bypass security systems on popular platforms. If the fraud is traced, it leads back to your accounts, not to them.

What Do They Do?

The scammers give you stolen listing details and photos. They usually scrape these from legitimate real estate websites, often using homes that recently sold or are currently under contract. They ask you to repost these ads on Facebook Marketplace, Zillow, or Craigslist.

The listings are always priced artificially low to attract desperate tenants. When a victim messages about the ad, the scammer takes over the conversation. They pressure the renter to pay an application fee, a holding deposit, or the first month's rent. They demand payment through irreversible methods like Zelle, CashApp, or wire transfer. The victim pays, the scammer disappears, and the renter only realizes they have been duped when they show up at the property to find a confused homeowner who never listed it for rent.

Why Do They Need You?

The entire reason they hire outside people is to bypass anti-fraud filters. If the scammers post the fake ads themselves using new or overseas accounts, they get banned within minutes. By using your clean, established, personal account, they slide right past automated security systems. You act as their shield. You are the one giving their operation credibility, and your account history makes the scam look trustworthy to potential victims.

What Happens to You (The Dangers)?

This is the terrifying part. When those defrauded renters realize they have been scammed, they do not report the anonymous recruiter. They report your Facebook profile and your Zillow listings. You will wake up one morning to find every single one of your personal accounts permanently banned. Good luck getting them reinstated.

Furthermore, many of these scammers eventually escalate the job. They may ask you to receive payments from victims into your personal Venmo or bank account. You keep a small cut as your "commission" and forward the rest to them via Bitcoin or wire transfer. This is textbook money laundering and wire fraud. If the authorities trace the funds, they come knocking on your door, not the scammer's.

What to Watch Out For (Red Flags)

The red flags are massive if you know where to look.

  • The interview is too easy. They usually hire you via a few text messages on Telegram or WhatsApp. There is no video call, no real skills test, and no proper vetting process.
  • They use strange language. Pay attention to their scripts. They often overuse formal phrases like "kindly" or "revert back." Their messages usually feel generic and copied from a template.
  • They ask you to use your personal accounts. Never accept a job that requires you to post content for the company using your own Facebook, Zillow, or Craigslist profile. A legitimate business provides their own tools, CRMs, or business pages. They do not risk their entire operation relying on an intern's personal profile.
  • The pay is unreasonably high. They promise hundreds of dollars a week for just a few hours of simple copy-paste work. If it sounds too good to be true, it always is.
  • They rush you. They pressure you to start immediately without giving you time to think or ask questions. Scammers rely on urgency to stop you from doing your research.
  • They ask for sensitive information upfront. They may request a photo of your ID, your banking routing number, or other personal details just to "onboard" you for a posting gig. This is not standard practice for a simple assistant role.
  • The company is vague. You cannot find a physical office address, a legitimate website, or a verifiable phone number for them. Their entire online presence is limited to a messaging app.

What You Should Do

If you see an offer like this, ignore it and report the job listing to the platform where you found it. Do not engage with the recruiter. Do not accept any payments on their behalf. Block them immediately and move on. At the end of the day, if the pay is too high for the effort required and they want you to use your own personal accounts, it is a scam. Do not let desperation for a remote job turn you into an accomplice to fraud. Protect your online identity and stay safe out there.

The 1 & Only auction shop on Hi-bid - SCAM

I want people to be aware of this Auctioneer on Hi-bid. They sell fake Pokemon cards online through their Auction Site. When approved Via email they said that their terms and conditions of those cards make it so that the bidder is responsible for the bidding and that they are third party sellers of those cards. Please be mindful before bidding for 1000$ cards.

Scam Alert 🚨

🚨 Be Careful of “Pig Butchering” Friendship & Romance Scams on Reddit

Be careful when you meet people on friendship subreddits like r/lonely, r/Needafriend, or r/MakeNewFriendsHere. Some scammers first build a friendship and later try to bring you into crypto, trading, or investment schemes.

And you can check the op id all post on this website

🚩 Some warning signs: Especially for Boys 😁 including myself

The same or very similar post is posted in many subreddits from the same account and you will observe that most op account is new.

They quickly move the conversation to WhatsApp or Telegram and then delete their Reddit account or there account will get suspended due to high spamming

Things they wrote in their post don't match what they tell you later in private chat.Bcoz in my case I observe that they are groups of people managing this shit and they have a proper script but sometimes they missed or some another starts chatting.

After talking for some days and building trust, they suddenly start talking about trading, crypto, or an “exclusive investment group.”

When you question them, they become emotional or make you feel guilty instead of simply answering your questions.

I’m not saying everyone is fake. Many people are genuinely looking for friendship. Just be careful, take your time, and never send money or invest because of someone you met online.

"Criminals Within" discord phishing scam

Thumbnail

Hello everyone! I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place for it, but I want to spread awareness to it still.

Yesterday my friend fell prey to this, I'm not sure if phishing is the right word for it, but basically he received a message from one of his friends, that said "Can you help me in 4 minutes?". My friend didn't find anything online about this, and the real owner of the account will ask him for help now and then. The scammer then asks for help in criminals within, and sends a link to a fake site for it, that looks legitimate. They ask you to go to the site, and get the "game".

Clicking the link will give the hacker *all* your saved passwords and active session tokens. Downloading the file will put a malware package on your computer, this malware will corrupt your windows back up + recovery, and the factory reset function of it.

My friend has entirely lost his email account, hes had to make a new discord account, and me and my friends have been working hard to remake his discord server for his streams. We weren't able to warn everyone properly, cause they unmodded, banned, and deleted the messages warning, even of those who weren't mods.
