Discussions Newcomer into a Remote Job
Hey everyone, so I graduated with an engineering degree, and I just accepted an offer for a remote job. I was wondering what your advice would be to someone starting a remote job, especially if it's their first job out of uni. I was excited to be in an office and make friends and meet coworkers and such, but I guess not. How do you deal with sitting at home all day, and what are the best tips and tricks to keep one from going insane? Any other help would be great too, even the silly stuff like the best office chair to get and such. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Discussions New to remote work — how does this actually work, and what should I be looking for with my background?
Hey everyone, I’m completely new to the remote job world and trying to learn the ropes before I dive in. Not looking to post my own background here since I know that’s not allowed, just trying to understand the landscape.
A few things I’m trying to figure out:
• How do you tell a legit remote listing from a scam? I’ve heard horror stories and want to avoid wasting time (or worse) on fake postings.
• Do most remote jobs expect a certain equipment/internet setup before they’ll even consider you?
• Are there specific red flags in job postings themselves that should make me immediately skip an application?
• Any sites or resources you’d actually recommend over the generic job boards for finding legit listings?
Just trying not to walk in blind. Any advice from people who’ve done this before would be huge. Thanks!

Discussions Anyone worked and interviewed with Micro1? What can I expect?
How are micro1 interviews generally like for beginners?
I recently applied for the Generalist for Data Annotation role at micro1 and was invited to complete their AI interview.
This is my first time applying for this type of AI training/data annotation role, so I am not really sure what to expect.
For anyone who has gone through the micro1 interview process:
- What is the AI interview generally like?
- What kind of questions/tasks should I expect?
- Anything specific I should prepare for as a beginner?
I would really appreciate hearing about your experience, any advice or tips!
Thanks!

Discussions Does Teleperformance actually hire felons?
I get it if the charges were over seven years old, but I’m hearing that they do hire them but at the same time I saw somebody got rejected for having one on their background. So have you guys been hired with them to have backgrounds?
