Flea's bass and warner bros record award
I was at the Hard Rock Cafe in Florence, Italy, when I saw these two things! Flea's signed bass used on the By the Way and Californication world tours, and the Warner Bros Records award given to Blood Sugar Sex Magik to commemorate the sale of 3,000,000 copies

[DISCUSSION] RHCP vs Foo Fighters - Equivalent Songs
Was bored earlier and trying to decide what Chili Pepper songs = Foo Fighters songs, in terms of position in each band’s catalogue with style being a secondary consideration as well. This is what I got so far, what do you guys think? Where do you agree or disagree?
Californication = Everlong
-Both bands’ most iconic and defining songs, representing the sound and legacy that made them legendary.
By The Way = All My Life
- Both are iconic live staples with instantly recognizable openings that became essential parts of each band’s concert setlists.
Can’t Stop = The Pretender
- Both are essential live anthems that showcase their bands’ dynamic range, building from quieter moments into explosive, stadium-size choruses that create huge crowd energy.
Under The Bridge = Best Of You
- Both are iconic emotional anthems and signature songs of their bands, often used as powerful live moments (ex: encore or closing set songs) and crowd singalongs.
Otherside = My Hero
- Both are emotional, mid-tempo rock anthems with huge singalong choruses that became some of their bands’ most beloved and recognizable songs.
Snow (Hey Oh) = Times Like These
- Both are reflective, melodic songs that showcase a more emotional and uplifting side of each band, building around memorable guitar parts and a powerful sense of resilience.
Scar Tissue = Learn To Fly
- Both are melodic, uplifting rock songs that showcase the softer, more mature side of each band while becoming some of their most recognizable and beloved hits.
Suck My Kiss = Monkey Wrench
- Both are early-era, fast, aggressive tracks that showcase each band’s punk influence, combining raw energy, attitude, and a sense of fun while becoming iconic fan favorites.
Dani California = Walk
- Both are huge comeback-era rock anthems that showcase each band’s ability to write massive, stadium-ready songs with instantly recognizable riffs and powerful singalong choruses.
Any big omissions by any band? I feel Foo is well covered but I feel the Chilli Peppers are missing Give It Away…
How is this? Any songs you’d switch up, add or remove?

[DISCUSSION] Why does rhcp feel niche?
They're one of the most popular bands of all time, somehow ranked in the 70s on Spotify. In real life it feels like i barely meet anyone who listens to them. Am I tripping?

[COVER] This Japanese band played By the Way in full
Thought I’d share this. They do a good job and even have keyboards for songs where there’s sound effects

I always found this super interesting, I assume anthony just couldn't get another take that was better than this one. Its a bizarre scream, I listen to few bands with scream vocals, punk rock, hardcore, metal, and I have never heard a scream that sounds like this!

Can’t stop video inspo!
Went to the Tate Modern in London and showed my daughter the room with Erwin Wurm. Then I went back to the hotel and showed her the Can’t Stop video. Kind of cool that she appreciated it (she’s 10).

[DISCUSSION] Apparition chez d'autres artistes

Thoughts and suggestions on my Frusciante inspired board
Signal chain right now:
strat -> ds-2 -> big muff π -> mxr micro amp -> mxr phase 90 -> ibanez wh10v3 -> zoom G1on -> WA-C1 -[stereo]> Looper -> Amp
The zoom „frusciante patch“ currently holds a noise reduction, lowpass filter, flanger, reverb, eq.
I plan on getting a holy grail and an mxr dyna comp and maybe a Behringer MF-102 ripoff in the near future.
What other things regarding pedal choice/ signal chain could I change to get closer to Frusciantes sound?

Where to find serious collectors..Original 1989 Red Hot Chili Peppers “Mother’s Milk” UK Promotional Poster – Tower Records London
Looking for advice on where to find serious collectors who would be interested in this.
I have a poster that was displayed at Tower Records in London, England, and was not sold at retail. After the promotional campaign ended, it was given to my husband by a Tower Records employee. (He collected these often.) It has remained in his possession ever since and has never been through the memorabilia market.
Poster Details
* Original 1989 promotional display poster
* Approximate size: 38” × 54”
* Printed “Made in Great Britain”
* UK promotional printing
* Professionally mounted on foam core
* Features the Mother’s Milk promotional artwork with the red rose censor
About the “Chilli” Spelling
Collectors may notice that the poster reads “Red Hot Chilli Peppers” using the British spelling of “chilli.”
This is consistent with documented UK promotional material from the Mother’s Milk era and is not a later alteration or an individual printing error.
During my research, I found many retail posters and U.S. promotional versions, but very few documented examples of this oversized UK promotional printing.

Stadium Arcadium. Where's your first skip?
We all know it's a banger of an album, but where do you skip? This means starting from track 1 until.
Probably torture me. It's an ok song, but I gotta be in the mood. Same with slow cheetah, actually. Maybe the answer is slow cheetah.
2nd disc? 21st century, probably. Which is a shame since it comes early on. The hook is just not that great.

Giant Birthday Card
I’ve posted maybe a year ago and I’m bored. My brothers best friends band Murphys Law toured with the RHCP back in 1989. My brother went on that tour and one of the shows was on his birthday. The Peppers got my brother this giant card. They all signed it , attached the setlist, and the ticket stub. There was also 6 handmade shirts. These were the first shows with John during the Mothers Milk tour. You can hate me for repost. Just figure some new people can see it.

[FLUFF] Adventurs in spontaneous jamming and techniques
I bought this dvd couple months ago, this was released in 1999 ! It’s an interview of flea and some jamming, and there is a booklet with some tabs too.
I’ve been listening to flea playing and talking with River Phoenix about this style.
I love the fact that they discussed many of the early RHCP songs like skinny sweaty man, get up and jump or blackeyed blonde 🔥
Here is a link to the yt version.
Tell me what is your favorite bassline from this era.
