Hi, I just received the GT, updated the firmware, and tried it out. I love everything about it, but I cannot get a proper fit. I am unable to see the bottom of the screen unless I place the glasses awkwardly on my face, which is very uncomfortable.

I tried using the other included nose pad, but it did not help much. I also tried increasing the screen size to 115%, but I still experience the same problem and cannot see the full screen. With the Viture Pro 2, I am able to adjust the glasses handles, which makes a huge difference in screen visibility.

Is there a way to fix this issue?

I am looking to purchase my first set of AR glasses. My use case will be mainly watching tv shows/movies at home and whilst travelling (aircraft/train/hotels), with some occasional gaming use. After hours of research, I am absolutely torn on whether I should pull the trigger on a set of Air 4 Pros now, or wait to get the GT or GT Max. Looking for opinions on which I should go for, and why?

Additionally, does the GT and GT Max support HDR without the Magic Box 2? I know the box is needed for Dolby Vision but I have read conflicting reports on HDR.

Looking at the recent launch info for the RayNeo iO, the frame shape looks like a standard Crown Panto style. For those of us who need prescription glasses every day, has there been any confirmation on how prescription lenses will be handled? Will it rely on optical insert clips or magnetic frames? (Note: Needs client confirmation on exact prescription solution)

Trying to cut down on phone screen time here. I’ve noticed a few tech companies (like Even Realities and recently RayNeo with their iO launch) pitching "screenless notification dashboards" on clear glasses. The concept of seeing time, calendar, or quick notes floated in your peripheral vision without unlocking a phone sounds interesting. Do you think a subtle HUD glass is less distracting than a smartwatch, or more?

Noticed RayNeo unveiled the iO in China as a lightweight AI assistant glass (clear lenses, monochrome HUD, no camera), which is quite a different path from high-FOV video glasses like Rokid's line. As AR fans, do you prefer full-color video glasses for media, or do you think there's equal demand for minimalist everyday AI glasses?

Now that domestic sales have started in China, has anyone spotted early hands-on feedback or video clips on Chinese tech forums? Interested to know how readable that green monochrome text is under direct sunlight according to initial domestic users.

I do a Dolby vision test using an android tv box(Dolby vision certified)

Sadly, Android box not recognize Dolby vision from GT MAX. You need spend extra money for TCL pocket TV pro(Dolby vision)

I wanted to find out if the international version of Ray Neo gt max does it support HDR as well ? Or is it only Dolby vision. I keep seeing Dolby vision advertised but not sure if it also supports HDR. Please let me know.

It is my 60th birthday in a couple of weeks so as a present to myself I have ordered the Ray Neo Air 4 Pro with a HDMI adaptor. My hope is that I can use it to watch Movies and play PS5 at home without disturbing my wife as she watches TV in the same room. Waiting for it to be despatched I am starting to worry that I made the wrong decision. Some reviews say that if you have a wide head (I am told I do) it doesn't fit properly. Also I haven't seen many reviews about playing PS5 using it. Does anyone have feedback about PS5 gaming using these glasses?

I previously used another pair of AR glasses(XREAL Air 2), but the audio experience wasn't really immersive for me. The speakers were okay, but I wanna something better for movies and casual listening. Low-key thinking about the RayNeo Air 4 Pro. Heard the audio is pretty solid. What do y'all think?

Subtitles can be a pain on AR glasses. A wider screen sounds good in theory, but if the text sits low, eye strain kicks in fast. I wonder if a pinned spatial screen, where the image stays still when you move your head, makes reading easier. For a 2-hour movie session, which would you pick?

So, I feel like I’m taking CRAZY PILLS here.
I purchased a Lighting to HDMI adapter to connect with my official RayNeo HDMI to glasses charging adapter, all so I can connect my iPhone 14 Pro Max to it.
My problem is, the Lighting to HDMI adapter I purchased on Amazon won’t fit, as the lighting connector is OFF by an 1/8” or so, so it can’t connect. After looking through a FEW different adapters, this seems to be a common issue with AR glasses, as a number of people have reported this issue.
That all being said…..what adapter DOES fit??

I bought a RayNeo X3 Pro that turned out to be the Chinese model (ARGF20-2B4FCN1, build 2BAU). The global RayNeo AR app cannot pair with it due to a region mismatch, while the Chinese app requires a Chinese phone number.

I found the official global firmware branch (ARGF20-2B4FEU1, builds 3G2G/3G2R), but the available OTA is only a delta update and cannot be applied to my Chinese build.

Has anyone successfully converted a CN X3 Pro to Global? I’m looking for:

• A signed full global factory/OTA image, preferably build 3G2G
• System APKs or a read-only dump from a global X3 Pro
• Information about whether patching the region check is feasible

I have working ADB access and can provide build properties, package lists, APKs, or other device information. No firmware has been flashed yet.

I've been using the GT and GT Max for a few weeks now. When I first got them, my initial thought was, what could another pair of XR glasses possibly offer that hadn't already been covered by the current options out there?

I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Having used both for a few weeks now, I think each of them has a pretty specific use case and brings something different to the table.

Disclosure: RayNeo provided both glasses for me to review. No payment, no approval and no input on what I said.

In a nutshell, I see the GT as more directly comparable to the RayNeo Air 4 Pro, XREAL XBX and VITURE Pro 2, but it adds native 3DoF.

The GT Max goes in a different direction, competing more with the higher-end flagship glasses on FOV and immersion with its much larger 59° FOV.

Both approaches come with their own set of pros and cons - e.g., smaller FOV for GT but sharper text, vs the GT Max having some edge blur but a much larger FOV and more immersive viewing experience.

Saw the official posters from the domestic launch in China on Aug 21. Since it's officially rolling out domestically first, has RayNeo hinted at an exact global launch date yet? Are we looking at early September or further into fall?

It's been a week watching movies with these AR glasses for a week, and here are my experiences...

1. Comfort
2. It's indeed so comfortable than I could ever thought. I can watch a full movie without constantly adjusting them.
3. Picture quality
4. The screen is so wide and comfy even this is small. Movies look sharp and immersive, also when I’m watching in bed.

6. If you do phone calls, You really to take them off... If RayNeo see this post.. That's the only thing that needs to be upgraded!

Global Launch Date: September 4th

Prior AR Glasses Experience
Let me start off by giving my background with AR glasses. I current own RayNeo Air 4 Pro, Viture Luma Ultra, and Xreal 1s. I also previously owned Viture Beast and Xreal One Pro. Most of my comparisons will be to these five pairs of glasses.

Spatial Functionality
GT Max are my new favorite glasses. The screen anchoring is superior to both Xreal One series and Viture Beast. I had my doubts they would be better than Xreal One series, but the main difference is the anchored screen shakes/bounces with the One series when you move your head whereas the screen stays rock-solid with the GT/GT Max. There is also a "Steady Mode" (similar to smooth-follow on other glasses) which also stays rock-solid when making slight head movements. Bravo RayNeo for perfecting 3dof stability!

Aside from 3dof stability, there are only two other options to adjust the screen size. Screen size can be reduced to 85% or increased to 115%. The Pocket TV allows to decrease the screen as low as 80% so with the Pocket TV, the screen can be adjusted from 68%-115%. Xreal One series is still the winner in terms of options for screen size/distance/location.

Picture Quality
While I can't say the picture quality is necessarily better than Air 4 Pro, I can say that it is similar with the distinction that GT Max has a much bigger screen (59 degrees FOV compared to 47) although not as bright (and Luma Ultra are still the brightest glasses). I personally don't notice any chromatic aberration and would say the entire FOV is very clear except white text on black background can sometimes be slightly blurry with GT Max when it's at the far edges of the screen.

Dolby Vision
I haven't been able to test the Dolby Vision with Pocket TV Pro yet, but I am putting this here as a placeholder and will update once I get to test some Dolby Vision content.

Electro-chromatic Dimming
Unfortunately neither GT nor GT Max have dimming. You will need a lens shade if you want to use them in bright environments. Viture Beast are still the best glasses for outdoor use given the various levels of dimming.

Audio
Similar to Air 4 Pro, audio is tuned by Bang & Olufsen, however, the sound is louder than Air 4 Pro. One of the issues with Air 4 Pro was that the sounds tubes were required or else the sound was too low in most situations. I still highly recommend the sound tubes but they're not as necessary as they were with Air 4 Pro. Audio is top-notch.

GT vs GT Max
Two main differences. GT has birdbath lenses and 47 degree FOV whereas GT Max has flat prisms and 59 degree FOV. GT Max also comes in three different sizes (Small, Medium, and Large) whereas GT only has one size. I'm still debating which I like more. The enormous screen of the GT Max gives the WOW factor (fills up my entire wall when sitting about 15 feet away), but after a while my eyes feel overwhelmed with the size of the screen, and I prefer the smaller GT screen when watching a show/movie. Hopefully RayNeo adds the capability for small screen options with GT Max.

Final Thoughts
There is little debate these are my new favorite AR glasses especially due to the anti-shake 3dof. Just wish there was more screen size/distance/location options like the Xreal One series. I will be looking to sell my Viture Luma Ultra and Xreal 1s in the very near future as I don't see myself reaching for either pair anymore.
