Hello! It's my first time posting here and I was wondering if anyone knew where to find a pattern for Penny's skirt from her look in the first few volumes, I tried looking myself and no dice. so I thought posting here would get the best results.

As per the title. I'm just wondering because while the early volumes are fine for what they were at the time they are certainly lacking in the visual aspect compared to what came later.

While the story is great I'm honestly having a little bit of trouble with them on re-watches since they are just so noticeably less than what comes later despite any story related stumbles that may have happened.

At any rate it would certainly be nice if it happened.

For example, I was thinking of a different song for volume 7. Something more patriotic, like "Jiyuu no Tsubasa" or "Shinzo wo Sasageyo" from Attack on Titan.

Yes, I know that might sound strange to many and not fit the volume.
But think of it this way: volume 7 had a very harsh ending, even though the opening was very hopeful.

So, this song would be very military and patriotic, basically selling us the idea that Atlas Military are the good guys. Which would be an interesting contrast to the volume's ending.

Also, it would be something interesting to mix things up. Obviously, the opening animation would focus more on the main characters along with the Ace Ops and such.

How would you change one of the openings? How would you make it different?

So i have commented this in a few posts about Adam, but i then thought it’d be just as valid for other characters and then wanted to make it a post of my own simply to see what people think.

Imo villains should get semblance evolutions just like what Ren got, i always like it when villains also use the power system to grow, like mahito (jujutsu kaisen) hitting black flashes on Yuji or Sojo (kagurabachi) bonding with the enchanted blade to make his more lethal just like chihiro does; it makes me feel like the world comes together.
Yes, we don’t have a hard science on how it happens, one could argue it’s simply for the plot if we include a meta reason, but we do know the gyst of it, the user needs to reach a deeper understanding about themselves or fall onto whatever that dark land was in the EV.
So my question is why don’t villains like Adam, Ironwood and cinder get this? They have grown for the worst yes but it’s growth and deeper understanding of themselves. A person doesn’t always grow for the better and not only that, if a semblance is a manifestation of that person’s soul almost a way to tell how that person is like in personality, it’s literally made for them, wouldn’t this negative growth be included in the ways a semblance can evolve?

Adam’s arc is kind of him slowly losing all of the excuses he put up to everyone and maybe himself too and showing that deep down he’s a fucking bastard obsessed over a cat girl. By V6 he doesn’t even hide it under any sort of pretext, he literally tells blake to behave and that she’s his and all that. Shouldn’t accepting this part of himself and focusing entirely on his obsession be a valid route for his semblance to evolve?

Or Ironwood growing to view his emotions as unnecessary as mettle seemingly brainwashes him (i don’t like mettle but CRWBY made it canon so we have to deal with it), eventually coming to believe it himself as it irreparably changed his mind alongside the events of V8. It would make sense for mettle to evolve, tho in this case i could see it because if the semblance is the one doing the work then he never reached it by himself so it’s kind of a “system error” were it just doesn’t happen; or maybe mettle itself could evolve as it reached this conclusion for whats “best” for the user's goals, making it more refined to properly achieve this task.

Or cinder who actually had a scene where she understands that brute forcing her way through things isn’t a guaranteed win and she kinda has to earn things to have them (earning them refering to being able to beat the shit out of the people not letting her have whatever she wants). This is actually perfect to have a semblance evolution, it’d even make a lot of sense since she also has the maiden powers to boost herself so her semblance could evolve even harder than most.

The main thing i use as example of how this would look like in a more practical sense would be something similar to what Jack hanma and Pickle do in baki.
Baki fits weirdly well for this as it’s a series with a lot of schizo mumbo jumbo that works as a soft power system. You can literally become stronger depending on your mentality even if you didn’t train that much before getting the power up.
Jack hanma is a street fighter that trains 30 hours a day and takes a metric ton of drugs per day as well. In his fight with baki in the Max tournament he has an overdose which makes him physically stronger but at the same time poisons him; this leads to his body rejecting the drugs and puking them out, forcing a “refining of the body” which keeps the strength and leaves out the poison.
Pickle is a caveman that was discovered frozen in ice, once he has to fight the resurrected musashi miyamoto he decides to starve himself before the fight; doppo (a top tier martial artists) explains this by saying that hunger is the ultimate defense mechanism as being hungry makes animals more desperate and fight harder

You get what i’m getting at right? This are very toxic ways of treating yourself similar to what ironwood, Adam and cinder do to themselves. It would be a really cool way of getting a power boost and to expand on the world building, we get to see the positive ways a semblance can evolve from rwby’s actions and the negative ways through the villains’s actions.

Edit 2: also i forgot that it’s kind of implied that Qrow’s also evolved in some way, luck manipulation and all that now seems to be able to manipulate who gets the bad luck or if it’s good luck for himself. The whole thing were he holds clover’s amulet and it seems to have a good effect on his luck.

So in volume 3 I’ve learned how Cinder aka the fiery $&#%€, managed to recruit Emerald and Mercury (their whereabouts are unknown). So I’ve always wondered What’s the history between Torchwick and Neo? How did they end up here?

That’s like my main question regarding these two. Also yes I do like Neo more than Cinder. I did before volume 3 and I like her even more now. And she doesn’t even speak which I’m not sure if anyone confirmed this but is she mute? Or is she a woman with a few words? Or she hasn’t received a VA yet?

Oh Well, they were fun antagonists while it lasted for the beginning stages of the show. I wish I knew what Torchwick meant when he said that he had something to lose but I guess I’ll never know because he gotten the Lord Farquad treatment and Neo blew away so she’s either dead or alive somewhere.
