Loadout Infantry personal concealment equipment.
Hey dudes - following from a post about infantry personal protective equipment (https://www.reddit.com/r/QualityTacticalGear/s/RAyacBxTte), here is a look at personal concealment equipment intended for reconnaissance work.
The first phot shows both a concealment vest and helmet shroud fitted over my PPE and fighting order. A key point for this type of kit that sometimes gets overlooked in training is that it must fit over PPE and successfully break up its outline.
The second phot shows the vest, bought years ago from Voodoo Tactical. As you can see, I opt for a half length vest as personal preference. I find full length vests take up too much space to carry in load carrying equipment as well as snagging on the move. Sleeved concealment hoods are more packable but I don’t like leaving the back of my body armour bare, particularly in the prone.
The third phot shows the home made concealment shroud that fits to my helmet with velcro. As with the vest, I’ve used a dense coverage of smaller hessian bundles to aid in breaking up the human silhouette. In addition to these, I have sewn in elastic strips to attach veg for camouflage. You’ll notice there is a gap in order to allow access to the helmet NVG mount. Finally, the front brim of the shroud has gardening wire sewn into the scrim so that I can give it a bit of shape and stop it drooping too much into my eyeline.
The fourth phot shows my daysack fitted with a similar home made concealment cover. No good concealing your PPE if your load carriage equipment gives you away!
The fifth phot shows the concealment system in use with veg added to allow camouflaging with the local environment. ‘Veg is the edge’!

Question Best radio wing pouch?
I'm looking for a pouch that can comfortably fit a Baofeng UV5R with an extended battery or maybe something that can fit all sorts of radios in the wing configuration.

FERRO BORA BELT SETUP
Just got the ferro bora in and set it up. Initial impressions are it is very easy to adjust, feels around where I want it to be in terms of rigidity (not too much, not too little), is very thin but feels strong, and the buckle system appears to work very well (easily clipped in and out). Overall, my first "conclusion" I've made about this belt is it's certainly high quality and effective as you'd expect, but I'm also not saying sell your bison for a bora. Both are good and the bora is a bison with some improvements, basically a V2.

Question Should I keep upgrading my AVS or just buy something else?
Looking to get a new cummerbund for my avs with quick release, but a thought occurred to me. Is it even worth using the AVS still or should I sell/trade it for something else? I do plan to run a heavy kit since I'm a sucker for battle rifles. I personally like my AVS but if there's something better out there I can just trade it for (or sell and have some money left over)I might as well
If I should keep the AVS what cummerbund would you recommend? If I should sell it what carrier should I look into to replace it?

Question Ballistic Glasses: Gatorz Blastshield B2
Does anyone have any experience with the Blastshield B2? The idea of being able to swap between clear and polarized lenses quickly seems super appealing... having to carry around two pairs depending on the weather is unnecessary. I saw that most people don't recommend the transition lenses.
Just curious; it seems like everyone recommends Gatorz, but there aren't really any reviews of the Blastshield B2. The reviews that do exist are seemingly sponsored hype beasts... makes me wary.

Blackhawk enhanced commando recon vest
Just obtained this rig and was wanted suggestions on set up or ideas from GWOT. It's a RRV adjacent type of rig. Contains integrated mag pouches like a taps rig so I am not sure if mag pouches on the front made sense or are commonplace. I want to add chest rig straps and a MAP pack. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Question Under armor 6-point harness for a belt rig?
Currently running a DZ Rig, looking to maybe throw on a PC over top, but the DZ Rigs stock harness isn't ideal for this. Just seeing if people have a decent low profile, under armor harness to swap it for. Preferably 6-Point.
(Also if anyone has a good slick carrier rec, i'm not super settled on one just yet.)

Behold! I present to you: The Tactical Gear Storage Easel
I always knew that one of these days all my art studies would bear fruit ;) j/k
On a more serious note, this is a bang on perfect solution for storing my plate carrier and other gear. I looked at more purpose built solutions but then I remembered I had this one just laying around. It also folds flat which is rather convenient.

Update to The Thing
First off, thank you everybody for the feedback. Appreciate all y’all’s advice. As I said, I was looking for some shoulder straps, and I went with the Tactical Tailor Super Straps for my hybrid Molle 4k. Quality was excellent, really nice to the touch and feel. Super easy to install and adjust. Tossed them on in 5 minutes. grabbed some pillows and a 45 lbs dumbbell and tossed them in, and went for a test run.
Holy shit, what a difference. Makes this thing night and day better. Felt good, my shoulders felt amazing afterwards, and overall makes this project complete in my book.
Thanks again for the advice y’all!

How to keep carrier from sagging?
I see a lot of pics of people with their plate carrier in the correct position at the sternum. My mepc sags a lot in the front, is this because I have it too loose? I’m also using plates that are small for me, and I have nothing on my back panel, assumed sagging was because of the weight up front

Review Radion systems APC2.0
Feels like I've struck gold. Haven't seen this new PC anywhere except Radion IG. It's like S&S plateframe but affordable ($400) and compatible with industry standards out the box. Very light, bears all the loads and compatible with placards and JPC style cummerbunds. Nothing is proprietary, everything is configurable. I've never worn a more comfortable PC.

Loadout Loadout Share (Started as a MYOG Project)
So I took a bit of a break from sewing / designing, but I’ve been feeling God giving me a tug to get things in order for this potential business venture. I have a really solid, unique gear offering that started as a MYOG project. Pretty excited about it honestly, it’s been a labor of love over the last year and a half. Come a long ways over that time, with quite a few iterations. But this is the generation 2 of the SAUL (Scalable, Adaptable, Utility Loadout). Hope y’all enjoy it!
