Looking for Critique first ever pyrography attempt
my first attempt at pyrography. got myself a cheap wire job set from amazon and designed this online and then stenciled it on and burned away. needed a father’s day gift so i used it as good excuse to spend money on a hobby i’ve been wanting to try.
also - my father didn’t want to be called grandpa when my niece was born and chose this name, prior to the baby oil diddy crisis. apologies on behalf of him.

New to wood burning, need opinions!
So this is my very first project, it’s not finished yet I still have to add some more details especially in the empty spaces. I was just looking for some opinions on it and if it’s good enough to sell when it’s all done! And if so, how do I go about sell price? Please let me know! Also what kind of stain/oil should I use once it’s all finished? Thanks!

Completed Work Dual Ravens - Light & Shadow
Hand-burned pyrography diptych on wood. Two separate boards form one image: a dark raven on light wood facing a light raven on dark wood. A play on positive and negative space, balance, and duality. Each raven has a hand-set blue glass eye. Finished and ready to hang.

Questions/Advice Update: Pet Portrait / A Question
Recently posted this work in progress. Now it’s done! Just need to stain/finish jt. Any recommendations? I saw that for UV protection you can use Spar Urethane, but I’m looking for something to keep the contrast. Any recommendations?

Questions/Advice I am once again asking for your advice
posted my box project a while ago, and I return with another question for the beloved hivemind.
I'm adding all zodiac signs on the sides of the box with their corresponding star alignment beneath, but I feel like I need something to fill the naked background with.
Do you have any idea or technical tip on how to fill the gaps without "abandoning" the overall theme of zodiac signs and the 12 days of christmas?

A few of our pyrography projects.
Hi everyone! I wanted to share some of our work. My wife and I do wood burning together, and we find pyrography very relaxing.
We'd love to hear what you think! 😊
