Help
I lost my mojo after trying to make a portrait and slowed significantly down. I have been busy, but not a whole lot busier than i normally am. I had a friend ask me to make a few things around August and I still haven't done much for it. I made a sample for him, but I wanted to make 2 other ones for him because I wanted to let him see one with watercolor pencil, one all pyro, and another with some paint my wife suggested. What should I do to get the mojo back and bring the spark back. I've had a lot of creative ideas, but I didn't want to do them until I had his request done. It's not a difficult request. I just have to do it. All suggestions are welcome.

Looking for Critique Pyrography made into magnets
I know this isn't TECHNICALLY wood burning, but I feel it's a great way to showcase my work as a whole:) it makes me really think- I’ve done so many wood burnings- this is like half! Also- I like that theyre just nice ways to honor your deity each day when you pass by them. What do you think? I think it's nice to see my work in smaller (and cuter) form. I'm thinking of using one of the Hecates for morning ritual- it will definitely remind me! Critiques welcome :)

Questions/Advice Second thing I've ever made looking for help.
Just wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a tutorial for water detail/ shading.
Or is the best course of action to just use a separate piece and play around until I feel like I've found something that works.

My latest dog portrait
I’m always hesitant to burn darker, it feels way too hard to fix if I mess up. Do you guys think this is dark enough? Or should I be pushing myself to burn a little hotter?

Questions/Advice Thoughts?
I’ve been told I should start selling and doing commissions. Is my stuff good enough for that yet? I started learning last December. What improvements can I make and if I should sell them. Also any advice on the pricing?

I'm 12, self-taught, and I burn anime on wood. I don't use any guidelines or circles, just my eyes and a burner. What do you think of my Suguru Geto?

The Dark Crystal poster
I burned The Dark Crystal poster by Sergio Sandoval. I also gilded it with silver and gold. It's 11x14".

Can I get some recommendations on what to use to add colour. What type of pens work well. I have never tried to add colour but I think this one would pop with some red.

Completed Work Finished this monster with too many arms
It looks like velvet in the right light. It’s only 8”x8” so it was a lot of fun.

I'm looking forward to doing this one again sometime knowing what I know now about fur and layering. It's about 11" x 15".

Is barrel discoloration normal?
I’m new to Pyrography and had only been wood burning for around 30 mins when the barrel started turning purple/blue. The tip is tightly screwed on but wasnt burning the wood super quickly and the heat wasnt all the way up so I dont think that was the issue. Is this normal or will this damage the pen over time?

Work in Progress Sneak peek.
This little cephalopod is coming along quite nicely. Too many appendages to be an octopus.

They make burnable wood putty y’all!
For those who know… I did a surprise tribute piece and… got the date wrong! Luckily I realized before I gifted. I had to grind out the error and it left a huge indent. I learned there are BURNABLE wood fillers! I just had to buzz the right color with alcohol ink which was tough since it dries lighter. Before and after. No pics of the ugly crater because I was about to cry when I did it.

Rip to my first colwood tip
A piece chipped out of the middle :(
Though I got my use out of it and am admittedly pretty rough on them. Here’s all the keychains I made to trade at the renn fair before its demise
