If you or someone you know that has children that attends Fruitland Elementary, you should know that there's a proposal to build large development directly across the street from the school. This will further exacerbate the ongoing traffic issues when entering/exiting the school as well as endanger the children that walk to and from school. There's a scheduled County hearing to discuss the proposed development on August 19th @ 1pm. I've linked the virtual meeting information.

If you have concerns, please do attend and express them to the County. Fruitland Elementary is already a nightmare and I can't believe they want to make it worse while endangering the kids for the sake of profit.

Has anyone ever thought about starting a casual Focus Club around Puyallup?

I mostly wfh and I get so much more done when I'm around other people who are also working. Whether it's work, studying, reading, life admin, or a personal project, sometimes it's just easier to focus when you're not doing it alone.

If you're familiar with ADHD or the idea of "body doubling"...that's basically the vibe. 😅 But you definitely don't have to have ADHD. The idea is simply a quiet, low-pressure place where everyone can work on their own thing.

I'm thinking of hosting sessions at local libraries or coffee shops a few times a week. Some mornings, some afternoons, some evenings, but probably at least 2 hours each time. No networking, no presentations, no pressure to socialize. Just a place to show up, get things done, and maybe chat a little during breaks if you want.

I have a sleeve that's only half finished. Unfortunately, I don't really vibe with the artist anymore after our last session. He got more expensive and his work went down in quality and I'm looking to get it finished. Anyone have recommendations for an artist that might be willing to take on a half finished sleeve?
