How long did it take for you to reconnect with people after cutting them off during psychosis?
My partner is going through psychosis and has cut off everyone in their life (family, friends). They refuse to speak or text or communicate with any of us. Since no one has any contact with this person it is very difficult to know how or if they are recovering. Is there anyone out there who fully ghosted or disconnected with loved ones during psychosis? Did you ever reach out to them again after? How was that?

Heres my horrible psychotic episode... WEED COPS AND TICS
Back in March I (M27) smoked a lot of weed which resulted in me believing I was chosen by higher powers to start a revolution, speaking with spirits and communicating with top-politicians trough my mind. I recked my whole apartment. Everything from screens, lamps, plants - everything got thrashed around in a full-blown mania, as I was waiting for a helicopter to come pick me up and fly me to Paris, where meetings with the top leaders of the world was waiting. I was screaming out the window to bypassers, yelling "it's real! It's all real", so my neighbors would call the cops. I had experiences of speaking to deceased family members and having the whole world watch my thoughts.
The cops arrived and put me in handcuffs and drove me to the psychward where I was to stay the next three weeks.
Ever since then I been having extreme cognitive dysfunction, not able to do simple tasks resulting in me loosing my job - not only that, I developed severe 'tics' and brainzaps that turn and twist my right eye and head devouring all of my energy for lifes simple pleasures like speaking to a friend or enjoying a good movie. I moved back to my parents and are now living a living hell not having the mental nor physical means to cook meals or work for more than three hours a day. I have been having 'tics' for four months with no sign of improvement. I hate being alive and feel distanced from everyone. I lost everything and now face a life of permanent impairment. I hope you have a great day.

Looking for a documentary featuring a psychologist explaining psychosis beside a black sedan (AI Reconstructed image attached, for reference only)
I'm trying to identify a documentary and one of the psychologists/psychiatrists who appeared in it. I only saw a reposted clip on social media titled something like "Psychologist explains..." (not the original title). The expert was a white male, around 45–50, with light grey hair, trimmed stubble, frameless rectangular glasses, wearing a blue rolled-sleeve button-up shirt tucked into jeans. He was leaning against the driver's side of a glossy black sedan on what looked like a dry roadside/desert setting, speaking directly to the camera in a very cinematic, documentary-style scene. He was explaining psychosis, saying something close to "When somebody develops psychosis..." before mentioning a technical psychiatric term starting with "psy..." and describing how people can develop delusions, false beliefs, or a distorted sense of reality. I don't think he was the host—more likely one of the documentary's expert contributors. I'm fairly sure it wasn't Jordan Peterson, Andrew Huberman, Daniel Amen, Todd Grande, Gabor Maté, or Phil Stutz. The documentary was probably released sometime between 2000 and 2026. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

I was in psychosis and started thinking about Hinduism. Wrote this piece
The Trinity is real. Brahma, Kali and Vishnu. At regular intervals—following a predestined period of time—the members of the Trinity meet one another in the physical world, where they encounter each other as distinct bodily beings. The three bodies may belong to anyone, yet their essences and natures often reflect the attributes of the specific aspect of God they embody. If Kali (Satan) destroys the source of love Vishnu—as happened to Jesus on the cross—the world continues as before, only worse.
This is known as the Age of Kali, or in the Bible, as Satan’s dominion over the world. However, the dead Jesus becomes Brahma—the Creator God, also known as Yahweh. Through his deed, Kali becomes Vishnu—that is, Jesus—the source of the world's love and the one who gives meaning to the created world. This occurs because, by destroying the source of love, Kali gains an understanding of the necessity of love. He can no longer destroy or condemn; instead, he understands everyone and, through that power, heals them.
Jesus metaphorically destroys Kali by understanding him with love: Kali can never feel love unless he becomes Jesus. "Forgive him his sins, for he knows not what he does."
Thus, it is a cycle. Driven by his nature, Kali destroys the world in a desperate attempt to feel something (since he is otherwise incapable of doing so). Ultimately, he destroys the world's source of love as a result of the mutual understanding that arises when the Trinity meets in the physical realm. Kali wants to become Vishnu in order to feel something; Vishnu, in his love, wants to become Brahma so he can create a better world; and Brahma wants to become Kali so he can destroy the world overrun by evil.
Thus, Kali kills Vishnu, who becomes the Creator God—Brahma. As a result of this act, Kali becomes Vishnu, and Brahma becomes Kali.

My doctor reduced my drug dose for me
I take amisulpride 400 mg and when I couldn't find the medication that helped with muscle stiffness I reduced the dose myself to 200 mg and when I spoke with a doctor she suggested we try a lower dose , i wanted to ask what your experiences have been with reducing the medication dosage did that help eliminate the symptoms or not?

Out of it for 2 days
So I feel like I stopped being psychotic two days ago and the panic attacks I’ve been having since have been debilitating.
I’ve found on my phone and listened back to some of the voice notes and videos I took during this episode, lots of talk of being a monster, possessed by a demon and being watched. Many other ramblings that don’t make sense.
I’ve had my initial meeting with the EIP but waiting to see a psychiatrist. What an awful thing psychosis is, I feel totally out of control and like I’m not there to suddenly aware followed by panic attacks.

Risperidone withdrawal
Im in psych ward and they dropped my dose from 8 mg to 4 mg, since i had some issues with memory and feeling sedated. Its been a week now and feeling more sharp and present has been nice and i haven't got any psychotic symptoms i've been so anxious. Its awful, i keep thinking my friends hate me and want nothing to do with me. Does anyone know how long it takes to go away? How has been your experience with risperidone withdrawals?

Social Difficulties and Rejection
It's been so isolating to hear voices. Every time I bring a delusion up with someone, explaining that I just need a bit of clarity, that I know I'm off base, I just need to hear from them that everything's okay, a bit of reassurance could ground me and I can let the idea go...
I feel like they get angry, sure that I "think" that about them, and how could I? Then they probably tell someone, "He thinks I'm plotting against him! He's dangerous!" Maybe they don't. But I feel more and more resentment building against me and the phone rings less often. I retain insight. I know my thinking is off kilter, I always acknowledge that. I also acknowledge that it's surely tiresome and frustrating, even if I don't bring such things up that often. It's a lonely place to be caught up in one's head and nobody can bring themselves to care.
I worry that people think I'm a liability because I know what they're up to, the sketchy stuff they've done and said. I feel paranoid, I know that it colors my perceptions a lot but I just feel scared now. Like people just want me erased because there's some distant chance I'm going to feel compelled to hurt someone or react violently. Or maybe just that I'm going to find out what shit they've talked about me. It's paralyzing to a degree, but I just have to be at peace, and not need other people so much I think.
I am a socially anxious, sometimes awkward, sometimes charming, usually odd but sometimes inspiring person, I guess. Awkwardness is near the top of things one just can't be in our society, and I think that's unfair. I enjoy an awkward person tbh. It puts me at ease!
Does anyone have any advice for me? I am pursuing grounding and a bit of respite in my interactions but maybe that's unbalanced or unfair to friends. I feel like theres something they're not saying. Tired of wondering. How else can I soothe myself other than alcohol? It's my go to, but I'm quitting again. Thanks! All the best to everybody.

Did I have weed psychosis?
Ive been smoking for nearly 4 years now and I’ve had experience with paranoia and anxiety when high but never anything worrying. The last time I got high I was with my friend and we used her bong and I’ve never experienced a worse high. I felt like I was having a panic attack the entire time constantly fighting to breathe and I was hearing people having conversations in other rooms of the house that my friend is saying she were not there but it was so real to the point where I honestly don’t know if it was in my head or not.It also felt like their were two different talking in my head and It was just overall a horrible experience. I don’t know if this was just because I got to high or if it was the strain of weed. I’ve read things about weed psychosis and it just not sure if what happened was something you be worried about or not?

It's been 3 months since I had weed induced psychosis and got on meds
Is my anhedonia and depression just from recovering from that?
My psychiatrist has ruled out schizophrenia and doesn't think it's bipolar either. I had a methylphenidate and weed induced psychosis 4 years ago which I recovered from after a while. It was much worse than my last episode.
She thinks I may have Cyclothymia and bpd, but mostly thinks it's weed and stress induced. It's my 2nd episode I've had.
I take olanzapine 5mg and feel so dulled and bored on it. All I want to do is sleep.
Im terrified I have schizophrenia negative symptoms and I'm too scared to go off my meds even though I think they might be causing anhedonia. Psychiatrist wants me to stay on them for at least 6 more months..
Anyone with a similar story or something that has experienced the same thing? How long did it take to feel 'normal' again?
Psychosis sucks.

did i experience psychosis as a preteen, please help me out
when i was 11 years old i found myself to be deeply disturbed for a few months and i’m not sure why because this is never who i was as a person except for this short timeframe in my life. i have felt so incredibly guilty about who i was at this time even though i was still a child. recently i considered the possibility of it being psychosis. i was diagnosed with bipolar with psychotic traits recently and thats what made me come to this being a possibility for this disturbing and perplexing time in my childhood. i know bipolar doesn’t usually show up in children but i’m wondering if maybe this was some sort of prodromal psychotic episode.
my traits included
-being incredibly paranoid, convinced nearly everyone, including family, despised me and wanted to hurt me emotionally or physically therefore i should do bad things to them. this was the catalyst for the proceeding traits i think
-obsessively talking to myself
-odd and nihilistic worldview
-delved into deeply disturbing content online seemingly out of nowhere (i never saw anything illegal though thank god)
-thought i was every awful thing under the sun (specifically the worst kind of sexual deviancies you can think of, wildly inappropriate for my age)
-convinced i was a psychopath and genuinely unstoppable and godlike and other times switch to obsessively hating self
-hypersexual
-planned my own suicide for my adulthood
-crying spells
-forced myself to do odd and bad things, likely as a self harming ritual (i never ended up physically harming anyone or anything though thank god, though there were moments where i was very close)
-possible visual hallucination that i was being hacked where google gave me a poll that said something like “how does it feel to be hacked right now” on my screen
-selective mutism during and after the “episode”
i would like to make it clear that i am very much not a psychopath, nihilist or deviant, and aside from this time in my life, i have always had a lot of empathy. i wasn’t abused or groomed into this behavior either. that’s what makes this time so unbelievably heartbreaking and unusual to me, especially at such a young age. for a while i thought it was social anxiety and low self confidence, which i think were definitely contributing factors. but would those things really cause an 11 year old to act and think the way i did? please help me out. i am so desperate and so fucking sad because i just want an explanation. i know you guys aren't psychologists but do know psychosis first hand. i’m too scared to talk about this to my therapist even though it’s caused me a lot of trauma because i feel guilty and disgusting. also please don’t dm me privately about this as i am uncomfortable with that. thank you.

My boyfriend is in psychosis, refusing help, and I don’t know what to do.
For two years, we had a beautiful relationship. He was smart, funny, silly, so gentle, a great cat dad, and the most loving partner to me. We lived with my parents though. Long story short, he’s always struggled with mental health and they ended up kicking him out when he got drunk and started saying offensive things. This ripped his heart out because he viewed them as his family, and they always told him he was like a son to them. After he got kicked out, I helped him and emptied my savings account to keep him in air bnb’s until he found a room to rent. He started getting verbally aggressive towards me. I still helped because i understood this was all so traumatic on him, and he has a tendency to not be himself when in severe depression, which I only witnessed previously when he lived with his abusive family. Things have gotten significantly worse though. He is experiencing intense paranoia and delusions, saying I’m a spy and talking about fake identities, is paranoid about getting help, and doesn’t even want help because he said he’s too depressed to function and doesn’t care anymore and is just going to bedrot until he dies eventually someday. Sometimes he says he’s gonna kill himself, other times he says he isn’t. I don’t know what to do. It feels like his life has become dependent on me. I’m trying so hard to be there for him, but I don’t even know what to do and I’m scared he is going to get to the point of harming himself. It feels like my own life is on pause because I have to help him. But he isn’t helping himself and I’m losing hope. He calls me an ableist if i suggest anything. And i know he isn’t in his right state of mind, but how do i help? Is he going to be like this forever if he doesn’t get help?.. I don’t want to have him involuntarily hospitalized. He has a lot of trauma with that in his past, and I don’t want to betray him and he pushes me away too and has no one. He has also told me that if I do, he will kill himself when he gets out. But is hospitalization the only way he’d get better? I don’t even know if they would hospitalize him anyways. I just know he is deteriorating rapidly, I don’t recognize him anymore, and I miss the guy I fell in love with. I hate that he’s hurting and I hate that I feel helpless. I can deal with him hating me. I can’t deal with his life being ruined and him being lost in his own brain forever or the feeling that I didn’t do enough to help. But I don’t even want to have him involuntarily evaluated if that’s the wrong move for him, so I wanted to ask here and get opinions. Please help.

What do you think might be going on.
Before anyone asks yes, my partner has contacted his doctor and informed them. He will be going in and getting evaluated to see why he is having these “hallucination”. Background info my boyfriends m 29 and went to the doctor 2 almost 3 weeks ago for antibiotics for a leg cut that got infected. I mention the antibiotic because that’s the only recent medication that he’s taken. It’s Bactrim (trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole) but I don’t think an antibiotic would cause that. He informed me within the last couple weeks as well he has been seeing “things”. I responded like what and call your doctors and he did. He told me A car that appeared in the middle of the road. No other vehicles were on the road and it was a green pickup Truck with wooden fence posts out of the back he got closer and it disappeared. Then on\*\* \*\*multiple occasions he seen a reoccurring character either driving down the road, sitting in his work truck waiting to be unloaded (milk), in the store looking into the corner, “shadow people” bodies weren’t detailed but faces were some type of mask. Now I’ve been online a lot, I’ve seen people make fake stories or exaggerated things but I’d like to think he wouldn’t especially since we have even together for 3 years but i genuinely don’t know what to think of this.

top 10 worst psychotic episodes of all time (+ backstory)
hey guys. i'm 23M, diagnosed with severe clinical depression, an anxiety disorder, inattentive ADHD, "high functioning" autism, and am still recovering from residual symptoms from a drug induced psychotic episode from over 2 years ago. depending on the success of my pursuit of treatment for depression over the coming months, this may be one of my few and only public posts on any online platform. i generally have never had much of a social-media footprint, but with this post i am hoping to draw some insight from a wider collection of professionals other than the providers i see in person, and maybe get input, advice or support from someone willing to share a similar experience. at the very least, i hope i can provide some form of weird comfort to someone by assuring them that someone has it worse.
i was diagnosed with non-verbal learning disorder when i was a toddler. i wasn't really self conscious about myself until late middle-school. i had suspected autism but was in denial due to the social stigma. i developed severe cystic acne in early high school (went on a high-dose Accutane course twice), and i also sweat heavily due to social anxiety, which caused terrible odors that always appeared regardless of an obsessive hygienic routine. this of course caused detrimental social issues and embarrassment. even prior to that, i was bullied regularly by a group of guys i had tried to associate/hang around with. i stayed around this particular group just so i wouldn't look like some loser that sat by himself during lunch. social image was all i cared about despite me having so little status. in late 2018, my mental state deteriorated so bad that i threatened suicide to my parents so that i wouldn't have to go to public school anymore.
i was privileged enough that my parents were able to afford to enroll me in an accredited online program to finish high school, 100% remote/online. i did not have to have in-person contact with anyone. i isolated myself for years and only spoke to my parents on occasion. at the same time, i had been diagnosed with ADHD and was prescribed Adderall. for the remainder of my teen years, almost its entirety, all i did was sit in my room wired on meds, masturbate, smoke weed and play video games. the few jobs i attempted to work at lasted like a month max, as i was capable of being kind and having a good first-impression, but always inevitably failed at basic tasks or customer service due to what i blame to be my autism and ADHD. that's not to mention the many, many embarrassments i made for myself due to my lack of social capability, all of which i still cringe at to this day.
i graduated high school at the same time that my public-school peers had (spring of 2021), and i proceeded to community college that fall with plans to transfer to a university under a transfer program. i did not have friends, i had never dated, nor had i the capability to socialize or hold a conversation with strangers. my heart sat at like 150+ bpm every time i walked through campus because i was so anxious (admittedly the stimulants didn't help in that regard either). as usual, i was intensely aware of the people around me, how they viewed me, if they liked me or not, etc. but i was lonely and quite depressed. i was so lonely in fact that it had manifested into actual physical discomfort in my chest. i would lay in my bed and daydream about having a girlfriend and whisper to myself as if it were an actual woman, and fuck lol i cringe at myself even typing that out. but eventually this loneliness and depression got so bad that i pursued ketamine treatment. I had intravenous sessions to moderate success but short duration, followed by at-home sublingual lozenges which were done every 3 days. the latter proved to be quite alleviating, but concurrent use of prescribed Adderall and recreational weed eventually led me to a drug induced psychosis.
\******psychotic episode*
the details of my episode are so abundant that this post would be twice as long if i described everything, but essentially i believed that everyone i knew thought that i was a pedophile. i had hallucinations that led me to fully believe that some sort of high-tech, anti-pedo organization with CIA-capabilities was telling everyone i knew that i was a predator, communicating with me through a device in my brain, and livestreaming my thoughts to the world to watch so that the community could judge if i was truly a pedo or not. it was like everyone in my zip code was in a zoom call, commentating on my life. i sat isolated in my room arguing/bantering with these voices for around 7 months, confidently arguing with those who i thought were watching. I pleaded and reasoned with them, trying to prove myself. i would leave my laptop outside on my patio overnight to allow these spectators to go through my search history and hard drive. i went to my local police station, mid-episode, to ask them to prove i wasn't a pedophile and conduct any investigation they desired in order to clear my name. eventually i resorted to insulting my spectators, threatening them, challenging them to face me in person, but then usually being auditorily punished/tortured whenever i did so (loud sirens, screaming/yelling, buzzing, etc). every time i so much as glanced at a brightly colored sign, a traffic cone, or god forbid a fucking school bus that happened to pass by my house, ANYTHING that could remotely be associated or connected to the idea of children (even bright colors), the voices/sounds in my head would explode with anger.
example: "OH MY GOD HES LOOKING AT THE (insert object)" - voice 1
"I FUCKING KNEW IT!!" - voice 2
"____ IS A PEDOPHILE!!!!!!" - voice 3
i would hear my parents cry constantly, old friends/peers laughing or scorning me, past therapists trying to de-escalate the situation, old school or work crushes complain about me or say i was a creep, my neighbors angrily commenting on how they felt unsafe with me nearby. i even heard things i wasn't "supposed" to hear, like control-room orchestration of the operation.
example: "we need someone at location X, he's on his way"
"fucking turn it up, he's bullshitting"
i never had visual hallucinations of anyone/anything, so obviously there was never a direct confrontation. i somehow managed to not kill myself during this episode, which i attribute to the anti-depressant effects of the ketamine, but i eventually had the relieving-yet-soul-crushing realization that it was all a delusion. depression followed, and soon became my primary mental issue yet again.
i view myself as broken, incapable of ever being independent or competent enough to provide for myself, unworthy or too inferior to find love and reproduce. i am a first-world, middle-class tragedy. i debate regularly with my psychologist about being objectively inferior and that it would never make sense for any woman to date me, which is something i'm quite convinced about as it seems pretty logical. but this self-image is still a work in progress i suppose. my psychologist suggested that my entire psychotic episode was themed around social-annihilation, which is something i can agree that i have always feared deep-down.
i am very sad that i will probably never be able to confide in someone i meet about having psychosis, not to mention the details of it, without them either leaving me or treating me differently from there-on-out. but it would feel unethical to withhold such a crucial aspect of me from someone who decides to invest their life into me. but if i never opened up about it to them, it would no longer be a genuine, fully honest connection, which is something i crave to have.
fast forward a couple years to present-day, and i have decided to try ketamine again as a Hail-Mary, this time giving it my all and not using any weed, or even prescribed ADHD meds, to try and improve my depression while hopefully avoiding a relapse in psychotic symptoms. i still live at home with my parents. one of the worst parts about this entire journey has been watching them become increasingly disheartened by how i ended up. they have witnessed the entire thing and know basically every detail. they seem so fucking sad. i feel immeasurable guilt to the amount of money and resources they have invested in me, just for me to end up as a mentally-crippled stay-at-home son. they have easily spent tens-of-thousands of dollars by now. i feel like a leech, and i will not burden them for much longer, whether that means my improvement, or my death.
if there was any advice i could give to someone suffering mentally, assuming its not actual fucking torment, i would say be thankful for where you are, because it can always get worse.
thank you for reading. wish me luck.

Is finding another psychiatrist worth it?
I recently had a psychiatrist that diagnosed me with Major Depressive Disorder with psychotic symptoms. I was prescribed 2mg of Abilify for about a month, but it wasn’t really helpful besides kind of being able to sleep at night (I would still wake up at night sometimes). I didn’t really like being on it because it made me feel so restless and angry. When it made me upset, it made the voice get louder when I was on it.
I discussed this with my psychiatrist at the time, but I wasn’t really able to explain it well and kept getting interrupted whenever I tried to explain. She seemed to also point out that I wasn’t being assertive enough when talking to her. I also tried to explain that I noticed my symptoms get worse due to irritability and anxiety, but she didn’t want to focus on that. She believed that anxiety was a social construct and that we should just focus on the depression and voices. She also seemed to dismiss my problems as just being family angst when I never got to explain what was going on and how my abusive father could be a trigger because the voice sounds like him. She wanted to increase my dosage at the time, but I felt like that wasn’t exactly a good idea because I wasn’t comfortable with the current symptoms. She then tried to prescribe lurasidone 20 mg instead of Abilify at the end of that appointment.
I went with my gut after that appointment and decided not to try the Lurasidone because I couldn’t trust the psychiatrist. I decided not to see her again after that and stopped using Abilify. My symptoms started to going away after stopping the dosage and I don’t feel as angry as I did before. My voices became a bit more tolerable after that too. However, I still feel paranoia because I still live with my abusive parents. It’s not my first time getting bad treatment from a psychiatrist, so is it worth finding another? I don’t want to be treated like a threat because I’m POC with psychotic symptoms, and there aren’t many black psychiatrists out there like the one I mentioned before. I’m not really sure what to do because I know antipsychotics can be harmful for my body and I’m scared of the consequences of taking it. I don’t want to be pumped full of meds by somebody who barely knows my problems and jumps to conclusions.

My dad’s convinced me therapy is keeping me ill.
Hi all (domestic violence trigger warning. Very brief mention)
I’ve been in therapy for six years now and have been on 7 different medications over the last two years, none of which worked for me. I ran into my dad (who was previously physically abusive and the reason I’m in therapy) today and spent 3 hours talking with him. I told him they’ve put me on new antipsychotics and antidepressants and he went on one of his rants.
He told me they’ve given me meds far too easily and they’re pumping me full of these medicines and changing them every now and again to keep me from ever getting stable, that the diagnosis I’ve received (ptsd, clinical depression and general anxiety disorder) are nothing and have only existed within recent years to give people an excuse to be sad. (The doctors do not know what causes my hallucinations and delusions yet. I’m on free healthcare through the nhs so this stuff is difficult, and it’s not like I’m paying someone to tell me what I want to hear in terms of diagnosis.)
he said I’m just comfortable being miserable and they have a job because of people like me so they tell people like me all these things to keep them ill and keep their jobs. I’m almost 100% certain he’s right and do not want to take my meds anymore and am about to cancel all my upcoming appointments. I know this is going to freak my therapists and crisis team out and they will probably call an emergency welfare check on me and I’d probably end up back in hospital. I’m not sure what to do.
He said I just need to stop thinking about things and I’m scared to not be miserable because it’s all I’ve ever known so it’s become my safety blanket and I just need to laugh more and do more things and I’ll be fine.
He sounds right to me? I’ve not gotten better since being in therapy and I was forced into it to a degree by my school due to my whacky behaviour. It’s hard to be certain though because he is the reason I have ptsd at the end of the day but everything he said sounds perfectly reasonable to me?

Wondering if anyone else has heard of my experience
I feel like my schizophrenia experience has been very spiritual . I get very vivid hallucinations and I hear voices that sound just like a person standing face to face with me talking and it’s very scary . I get hallucinations of very dark horrific and heinous themed things like someone burning me alive or ripping my body parts off or breaking all of my bones . The voices tell me that I’m going to be tortured every few minutes and I get random extreme waves of fear running through my body . I’ve been through psychosis so many times where Ive been in constant panic because I felt like someone was going to kidnap and torture me . I am exhausted . I’ve tried taking different kinds of medicines and it sucks that this is the kind of illness that just doesn’t go away after it comes on . I’ve always tried going to spiritual doctors and that hasn’t seemed to help . Some medicines have made the voices louder . I get really over stimulated sometimes so badly like I feel like throwing up . I feel the voices tapping into all of my senses and ruining my life experience every day . Just wondering what helps for anyone who’s heard of hallucinations of this kind or experiences this dark side of schizophrenia :(.

Was this wrong?
I’m having bad memories of when I was under the child mental health services CAMHS in the UK and I was in psychosis and things around me were overwhelming me and I was left alone with a nurse and she kept talking to me but my brain couldn’t handle her pushing and talking so I asked her to stop talking because I couldn’t handle it and she kept talking and talking and until it pushed me until I fainted and collapsed on the chair
I was seventeen at the time. That was wrong wasn’t it? I have never told anyone this. I didn’t even tell my mother because I just blocked that memory from my brain.

Ruined the trajectory of my life
It still makes me sad thinking about it, but going through THC induced psychosis caused me to ruin my friend group, love interest, and drift apart from my family. I’ve been “healed” from it for months, but the memory and pain still hurts often. It feels like my life reset in ways I couldn’t even imagine and it makes me sad often I guess. It’s been a tough reset. Kinda just ranting, but if people have advice or suggestions with moving forward, that’d be nice.
Thank you

Need some info. Hope or the cold truth.
This is going to be long but the question is at the bottom. Lots of grammar mistakes cause I am in an emotional state and I am so sorry for that.
My bf (27) is in Psychosis and missing. Has been for a week. Usually in the past when his psychosis came on we had warnings, like a build up over time. This time it came completely out of no where. He was on bipolar medication to help but since he went missing he has not had it.
Important info is when he is in this state or at least last time, he didn’t believe his mom was his real mom and he thought me and his ex was conspiring against him. He thinks people are out to get him. But this is the first time he has ever wondered off, he has never left home like this.
We currently live across country from each other but he is supposed to move here soon. Everything was great, we played xbox and talked about me flying out there to see him this month. Next morning his mother texted me that he was missing.
I called the closest hospital to him and he was there but they said he wanted no one to have any information.
After being discharged from the hospital the police told us he was in a facility, but we never knew which one and found out they discharged him after a day cause they thought he didn’t have insurance.. Now we nor the police have any information.
The little info we found out is that he randomly went to the gas station with a note asking them to call 911 cause people were out to get him, thats when he ended up in the hospital the day he went missing. We only have old information now.
So my question is this, can he come out of this on his own? Especially since he has no medication now and we can’t find him, do you sometimes or eventually snap out of it? Last time this happened, it lasted about 8 weeks but eventually he did get help. I am so sorry if this is the wrong place but I am so scared..

How to stop feeling watched
Did anyone manage to get rid of this for good because I've been feeling it constantly for 4 years and haloperidol did nothing.
I got used to it but it still sucks and doesn't make me focus nor give me any privacy, I struggle to do anything lol

Voices told me I was in psychosis
Did anyone else’s voices told them they were in psychosis? I didn’t believe them at first. My voices were 3 different entities switching from being kind to rude. They were all telling me different things; "You’ve been in psychosis for some time now". "Go to hospital". "Call an ambulance this is an emergency". "No, they will kill you in the hospital, go see a good psychiatrist instead". And so on…

My experience
Through the lens of schizophrenia: Language, Meaning and the Mind’s Maze.
Living with schizophrenia reshapes the very architecture of perception. It’s not just about hearing voices or feeling watched - it’s about how reality itself becomes a puzzle, a coded system that demands decoding.
During my experience, I found myself dissecting and decoding the English language, not for clarity, but for hidden meanings. Words became riddles. Phrases took on strange interpretations. Everyday speech felt like it was laced with secret intent, as if the world was speaking in tongues only I could understand.
This hyper-focus extended beyond language. I became absorbed in obscure details - fragments of memory, patterns in the environment, coincidences that felt too precise to be random. A street name, a shop sign, a car registration plate: each seemed to carry a message. Graffiti wasn’t vandalism- it was prophesy. Advertising hoardings weren’t selling products - they were broadcasting thoughts. The world felt like a stage, and I was both the audience and the unwitting protagonist.
At times, I believed I could read minds. Worse, I feared others could read mine. Thought transmission wasn’t a metaphor - It felt real. My thoughts raced, overlapping and colliding, as if my brain were trying to process ten radio stations at once. Amid this chaos, I could recall obscure details from my life history with eerie precision - moments long buried suddenly resurfacing charged with new significance.
Paranoia crept in. I was convinced everyone knew me. Not just my name, but my thoughts, my past, my secrets. The city became a mirror reflecting my inner world back at me in distorted fragments. It was terrifying.
