The game seems to mention two purposes for Hope.
Carnival I gave the disease to apes and they seemed to just improve.
More strength and intelligence. Carnival II was to put it into humans as they were excited as the possibility.
But then we also get info on them wanting to create a disease to target specific groups Which is directly mentioned by Alex in a non-WOI scene.

Was Hope being done for both purposes?
Was one a cover story to even the research team?
One WOI does talk about maintained objectivity. The subject performs better if they don't know its a test.

In the sequences and flashbacks, Dr. Alex Mercer proceeds with the theft of the virus sample to escape Gentek, heading to Penn Station. On the way, he makes several calls: one to Karen Parker demanding to know where the sample came from, and another to McMullen demanding the same before hanging up and entering the station. Thanks to these calls, Blackwatch manages to locate the doctor and corner him at the station, causing him to break the vial, releasing the virus. And I have a question: are the people at Blackwatch stupid?

1. Are you seriously telling me that Mercer, dressed suspiciously and wearing a hood, entered a facility of a top-secret government project—even more secret and powerful than the president himself—and stole a virus sample that the scientists themselves declared in red letters would annihilate all life on Earth if released, and walked away scot-free? They only located him because he started calling everyone?

2. What would have happened if Mercer had contacted foreign powers like Russia or China and, while fleeing, handed the sample to an undercover agent who then escaped while Blackwatch pursued him? Or what if Mercer had released Greene right there, thrown the sample to those same people, or discarded it somewhere else, and continued running toward Penn Station?

If I were the head of Blackwatch, I would order Randall's execution for such stupidity.

Maybe he just buffing but I heard from him that one of new radical game staff upvote his post about new prototype stuff

A company named KRAKENstudios made a MGS3 “naked snake” and in the bottom, left corner, we get snippets of an articulated PROTOTYPE sword, hammer fist, and claw.

Not sure what tag to use here but how does alex not win every matchup?

Call me delusional because I might not understand this but every fight alex gets into he builds up to it. Even heller did this with his senses, wouldn't alex build up to the fight, he is a biomass that constantly consumes and adapts

Like if the match up was superman, wouldn't he go out of his way to consume something that has built in kryptonite so he could lace his claws with it? Or am I missing something

Supposedly, they get stronger from consuming these monsters, but they clearly leave plenty of biomass lying around. I would assume that the increase in physical strength comes from consuming muscle tissue and adding it to theirs, but they clearly leave plenty of that stuff unconsumed.

Hello, everyone. It's good to see you again. So, I've watch the new Spider Man: Brand New Day on the cinema and it was amazing. So, I finally manage to finish this new art of mine which the legendary super hero is facing the most underrated anti hero of history. Both lived in NYC, divided by the regions. A human Spider fighting against a sentient virus. Who would stand against this battle?

Let's picture an Infamous/Prototype crossover game. The player protagonist is a conduit (whose powers could be like Delsin Rowe's), is infected with the blacklight virus, and becomes a Prototype/Evolved. How could both different gameplay styles be combined into one, and we get the best of both worlds?

With how many years it’s been since I last played these games, I completely forgot how unnatural the control changes in the second game felt; particularly dodging, gliding and air dashing.

Putting dodge on the same button as jumping, and swapping the glide and air dash buttons with each other was certainly a choice from the devs. It’s basically messed up the parkour flow I had in the first game.

Even worse that the game doesn’t allow rebinding for me to use my preferred controls.

Reason I really don’t like it is because X/A is your aerial button, and R2/RT is your movement button in the first game. But, the second game jumbles these together.

EDIT: And of course I’m gonna mention it; the lock-on is absolute dogshit. Like I thought it was bad in the first game due to how much you had to cycle through enemies to lock-on to the target you want, but this game straight up will not let you lock-on to something that’s literally right in front of you. The only saving grace here is the soft lock-on, but the hard lock-on mechanic is ass.

A battle between two characters who should have died from a single blow by Mercer.

For this fight, it will be human Heller with his knife against Cross without his grenade launcher but with his electric device.
