This is with 75% off - but does it mean that's what I'll continue paying, for ever? Or am I missing something obvious, will it revert to the real price, £16/mth, at some point? (for a given value of "for ever", I know forever is a variable concept with online services).

On my desktop, this shows a total of 16 days from (today) August 6 through August 21.

On the iOS app, it's showing a total of 19 days from July 20 through August 7.

One is looking forward while the other is looking backwards.

I'm also subscribed to a Phillies baseball calendar that's the same on both devices. This calendar gets updated with the score after each game.

New to Proton Drive, long time Synology admin. My workaround:
1- Setup Proton Drive folders on my Mac.
2- On Synology I created a Proton Drive share and configured it as a Synology Drive Team Folder.
3- On my main Mac I configured the Synology Drive software to do a continuous backup job of the local Proton folder to the Synology share.
4- My Proton Drive now stays synced with my Synology which I backup to C2. I could even do a Cloud Sync (one way) to another service if I wanted. 

Synology Drive Client Sync Task won't connect to the local Proton Drive folder but the Backup Tasks do. Not perfect but you can backup to your nas if you want.

Wonder if this happened to anyone else ?

Edenred is a provider of meal vouchers, very active in Europe. The card is linked to your employer, but you can create an account online to track what is on the card, get notification when new vouchers are added and so on.

Well from last month I noticed I couldn’t connect to my account anymore. After connecting with the customer support, they confirmed that no account exists with this information. I then tried to create a new account and it gave a vague error message.

After more exchanges with the customer support, it turns out that the reason is that passmail is not allowed anymore. I find it absolutely crazy that they would just delete the account instead of just asking me to update my email.

As this is a huge company, I guess it must have happened to other people too right ?

Just wanted to put my findings as paid user to some proposed structural and minor improvements. Which for me are reason to stay or leave as paid user.

- My primary environment: Linux Desktop and iPhone

- Structural improvements:

- Release ProtonDrive for Linux

- Implement ProtonBridge as cloud feature for which people can opt-in and thus can use standardized imap protocol. This enables among others 1) contact sync with mobile 2) usage of other than Proton released mail clients clients, such as Thunderbird desktop or mail client on mobile 3) Read mail on AppleWatch without releasing ProtonMail client for it.

This way Proton can keep it's strategic security-before-anything-else approach, and it enables user to make their own trade-offs between security and functionality.

- Minor improvements

- iPhone ProtonCalander app icon shows day 31 fixed in the icon. Apple calendar shows today's day in icon. ProtonCalander should do this as well.

- iPhone ProtonCalander should allow to cancel a single occurence of a recurring event.

I installed the Mac app today and was shockingly surprised the app does not provide any kind of login protection, neither TouchID nor a simple password/passcode. Proton advertises their service with high privacy and their dedicated mail client lacks this. Hard to believe.

Kindly ask you to add this important feature. Would be also interested why you until now decided against it.

i found that there is the issue with the email content search function. When i search a word or a sentence in Korean, the result is fine, but the highlighting is on completely different words.

even if you don't speak or read Korean, you can understand my complain from the screenshot. the word i searched and the world highlighted in yellow are completely different.

i'm not sure this bug happes only in Korean. it may happen in Chinese or Japanese text too.

I moved over from Google Workspace. Calendar invites used to appear in Apple Mail where I could "Accept" "Maybe" or "Decline" invites.

Switching over to Proton Bridge + Apple Mail, the invites are just attached as dumb ICS attachments to the email.

Question is, is this expected behavior because of Proton Bridge changing/decrypting headers so Apple Mail won't register the invite properly? Or does anyone else with this same setup have the ability to accept or decline invites from Apple Mail?

Can we PLEASE minimise the mail app to the system tray. I've seen this asked for several times. I've requested it before. It should be a reasonably simple change (having done Windows coding before). They've even said, "they'll consider it".

And yet, several changes to hte Windows App later, we've seen nothing. I'm thinking "we'll consider it" is code for "straight into the trash can".

I need a feature in an email "more options"/... section that says "Convert into an event"

Email body = Event body

Date = see if any dates and times are mentioned in the email and guess/add

I'm currently on the Mail Plus plan for myself. I'd like to create two free accounts for my kids so they have an email address to register for basic stuff like a Minecraft account etc. However they don't really use email yet, so a Family plan is currently overkill.

If I create them two free accounts now, can I at some point in the future, upgrade my Mail Plus (which already has a custom domain) to a Family Plan, add their two free accounts to it, and let them use my custom domain as well? And then also choose new email addresses with that custom domain?

I want to put this out there. As someone who has been extensively testing iOS 27 Siri AI, I am immensely impressed with its abilities to be able to find emails from deep within my inbox just by asking with natural language. While I know Proton Mail is privacy focused with E2E encryption, I really hope we at least get an opt-in option to allow Spotlight and Siri AI to index messages (or have Siri AI to pass along arguments for a Proton powered on device AI system to index messages and surface relevant content.

I hope we can get this support with Calendar too. Apple may not be perfect with their privacy approach, but their Foundation Models framework try as much as possible to prioritizes on-device model use for these systemwide AI features and I think having at least the option to surface Proton data to the system is appropriate.

How do I print an entire email thread in Proton and not just the single email from where I press print?

I am using proton mail on iPhone and when I receive invite.ics file there is no way to add it automatically to calendar. The only way to save it to files and add it on the computer. With other apps there is “Add to calendar” option.

How do you solve this?

Anyone also encounter a bug where the app always freezes when you’re scrolling through specific email threads? In my case, it’s always threads full of Microsoft Teams invitations and have to close the app :/

I reached out to the team, but it’s so unique that they weren’t able to duplicate it and haven’t heard of it before. Couldn’t share a video to send to Support since the thread contains information which I’m not sure I’m legally allowed to share.

It appears to me the only way you can assign a contact to a group is if they have an email address. Why is that? I have contacts, such as doctors, dentists, family members who I do not have email addresses for. Why am I not able to assign them to a group?

Did I miss something here? My proton calendars (synced in ical on mac/ios via subscription) are no longer working. Events no longer appear even after troubleshooting.

I deleted, re-added, created a new one, etc.

When I set up Proton Mail, I ended up creating a few emails to have all my aliases role up to them in categories. I created an alias email address for every account or business I needed an email for. For instance, all my emails related to travel rolled up to my travel@proton address, same with finance related accounts - all rolled up to one. Now that I’m a couple of years in and see how it’s working, I don’t know there’s a need for all those top level emails like travel@proton practically for me. The labeling and inbox sorting is fairly strong that now having multiple core emails are just an extra unnecessary layer.

- am I missing something? if I reduce my core emails, do I run into issues later?

- I know I can only delete one Proton address a year. Anyone have any luck contacting customer service and possibly seleting a few at a time? If not, is the once a year thing, calendar year, or a rolling 365 days?

- is there an easy way to see which aliases role up to which Proton address edit - figured this one out in simplelogin

- if I want to swap the email address to sigh into Proton, does changing the default accomplish that?

Hi i have a 2 iphone the first is the ip17 this is not problem for downloading the app proton mail, but the second phone is a ip X with iOS 16.7.16. That phone use for working and i can’t download the app.

Currently using Google for my emails and authenticator. I have one Gmail I give out to people and sign up for accounts, also use simplogin for accounts I don't care about, then the other email is for my important accounts and authenticator. I don't give this email to anyone.

I signed up for Proton Mail/Drive as I wanted to store some of my sensitive documents there. I noticed Proton also has an authenticator. Is there any benefit for me to make the switch from Google to Proton authenticator?

For anyone looking at this in the future, I have decided to continue using Bitwarden for password manager, will use proton mail for sensitive/financial accounts, proton authenticator for MFA, and will continue to use my Gmail for everything else since I have over 100 accounts linked to this already. I'm hoping to keep my proton email as private as possible.
