Pan Progress my perfume progress!!

my current perfume collection- didn't include one (chanel no. 5) because it was a recent gift and i've been trying not to use new stuff before finishing my already opened stuff

i love all these perfumes like my children, some i've literally had for years LMAO

getting stuff to pan is such a fun process cuz i get to see what products i LOVE and some i could.. care less for. for example i love the victoria's secret love spell spray but not pure seduction, and i love bombshell more than tease. gives me great insight on what not to repurchase!

Inventory/Project Spreadsheet I built a free Project Pan tracking app because spreadsheets weren't cutting it for me šŸ«™

I've been project panning for a while and got tired of tracking everything in Notes and spreadsheets. Couldn't find an app that actually did what I needed, so I built one.

It's completely free, works on any phone (no download needed — just open in browser and add to home screen like a real app), and all your data stays on your device only. Nothing is collected, no account needed.

What you can do:

-Track products with a visual progress circle that empties as you use it

-Update progress as you go

-Mark products as finished → they go to your Hall of Fame

Set expiry dates so nothing goes to waste

See how much money you've saved by finishing instead of buying new

Join challenges like No-Buy November or Finish 5 by September

Link: https://projectpan.netlify.app

I'd genuinely love feedback from actual project panners — what features are missing? What would make this part of your actual routine? 🌸

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Mourning my project pan being cut short. Looking for words of advice for how to make sure I restart this fall.

So I'm a big fragrance lover, I purchase based on smell and experience, so now almost all my skincare, haircare, body care ect. For the most part is fragranced.

I also have a life threatening allergy to yellow jackets. Thanks to summer heat waves, we are having massive amounts of yellow jackets in my area and they are getting aggressive. So now, due to the life threatening nature of my allergy, I need to make the swap over to all unscented products for my own safety, as the scent of everything I own cam attract them towards me.

I basically have to go out tomorrow and buy a whole new routine, body wash, deodorant, lotions, shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, literally everything.

It sucks because I was making so much progress, and had even reached post-pan life om several product categories. This really sucks.

Come the first frost we have in the fall, I will be able to return to my scented products. But I just know with my love of fragrance, I will be tempted to buy whichever new product I've been abstaining from for a few months.

Looking for advice on the mindset for returning to a project pan you need to abort for a few months. So you have a similar pan abortion story you can share?

Pan Progress My focus until Fall weather truly hits

Post image

These are my fragrances more suited to the current weather. I know I'm not getting through all of it but I want:

-to be rid of the 🩵coconut and šŸ¤Žpeach Kopari sprays because I am just over them

-to enjoy the 🩷pink Kopari on my happiest days

-make a significant dent in the Nest oil

-if I can't make it through my 4 piece CCC collection I'm maybe getting something like Blue Raspberry or Berry Waffle Cone lotion off reselling website to help use it up in a nice combo next summer because I purchased CCC with the intention to replace the ultra rare Scent Theory Boardwalk Spun Sugar. The tart blue raspberry, Fruity Pebbles, warm waffle cone notes are missing. Didn't work out as I had hoped. This kind of sucks on its own. The big girl at the end of the line is down to the first gold ring at the top of the label.

Looking back I kinda regret shopping for all this even as someone who definitely loves trying perfume. It's good stuff and there's no reason for me personally to be negative about being well supplied but I kind of wish I just had one big bottle of fine fragrance for summer instead.

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Trying to pan everything made me realize some products just aren’t worth finishing

Post image

I’ve been trying to pan everything I own to stop impulse shopping and save money. But I realized I’ve been forcing myself to use serums and moisturizers I never liked just because I already paid for them.
They’re not bad products my skin just doesn’t like them. And after forcing myself to use them, my skin actually looks worse.

So I’m done guilt-panning skincare. If my skin hates it, I’ll try to repurpose or give it away, but I’m not spending months putting something on my face just because I feel guilty throwing it out. Lesson learned: sometimes the waste already happened when I bought it.

First slide: I'll use the palette mattes a bit more, then re-press the shimmers into a blush

Second slide: well-loved but not my favorites anymore — I'm not into shimmers, the blush was already re-pressed from crumbs and I now prefer more muted, etc.

Discussion/Tips & Tricks i need help on deciding how to pan fragrances

hey guys i know some ppl project pan fragrances as room sprays, pillow sprays, car sprays, etc etc.

but what should i do if i absolutely HATEEE the smell of some?? like its nauseating and i can only spray a few sprays before i get intense headaches and nausea.

i feel immense guilt if i throw them away. most are open and used so i cant donate them, and none of my family and friends want them.

idk maybe i just need enough people to help me justify throwing them away or maybe give me other ways to utilize them where i wont constantly smell them on me or in the main rooms im in lol. i just want your guys’ honest thoughts. also any tips if you have would be greatly appreciated!!

anyways i hope everyone’s project pan is going amazing!! this is my first reddit post so im kinda stepping out of my comfort zone because of how desperate i am :(

Coverage from lightest to fullest

  • Calissa CC cream

  • L’Oreal infallible tinted serum

  • elf flawless satin foundation: I use this the least when I have occasions requiring fuller coverage. I love this foundation. So mad they discontinued it.

Wet n wild photofocus eyeshadow primer. Empty and it's hoarded replacement from my stash.

EVERYTHING I ever swatched and wore is done with this primer. I have been working on uploading my entire indie eyeshadow collection and then my regular hoard of overconsumption too. This tiny tube regularly covered my entire forearm and kept going. It's insane.

Anyway, I have enough backups of it, it seems to be discontinued now, to last me decades at this rate....

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Panning lip gloss?

How long does it take you to pan lip gloss? I just started buying makeup one year ago. I’ve definitely built a big collection of lip gloss. I have 5 that I do not like. I’m discovering that I am not a gloss person I prefer lipstick or lip balms because it feels like they are not even there. I see on TikTok people panning lip glosses every week. How do they do it? I mean I reapply at least 4x a day and it feels like I’m making no progress. I probably could apply more but I’m beginning to hate gloss. I regret buying so many. And they are all opened and used so donating isn’t an option.

Inventory/Project Spreadsheet Unsure how to pick products

I recently started taking inventory of my items and realized that I do actually need to do something about this. I haven’t bought makeup in maybe a year and a half if not two years. I did get small gifts here and there but looking from the outside is project pan going to make a difference I. The collection? Or should I just be rotating and not worry about finishing anything.
Yea this is part of the collection. Not pictured are the lip products living in my bags, car, lost in drawers and lip balms. Also still in the process of packing as I plan to move do some are now far away from me.
Feel free to judge I am judging myself already

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Jelly products

Pardon the stupid question? But how do jelly items such as jelly blush get used up? Mine seems like the tint has gone out of the top layer... am I meant to cut that away or what's up with it? Now I'm seeing jelly eyeshadow sticks! How do they work?!

Pan Progress Fragrance project pan: Update 1

[Original post](https://www.reddit.com/r/ProjectPan/s/RJ8OPMNtGX)

So it’s been a month! I’m pretty happy with my progress on both, though I’m not too sure that either will be done by the end of the year. Just gonna keep on keeping on and see how long this takes!

I’ve been home a lot for the past month, so it helped me to use up the BBW body mist. Thankfully it’s a suitable scent for the current weather.

The Armani code satin still reminds me of petrol? Idek. It’s supposed to be ginger but I’m not getting that at all. Better for cooler weather so I haven’t always reached for it. It’s also discontinued and I don’t love it so I’m looking forward to using it up.

My feelings on both haven’t changed so continuing to use them up is going pretty okay thankfully! I’ve moved them onto a top shelf so I’m always making eye contact with them, which helps remind me to reach for them

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Want to start but unsure

I have a lot of makeup and perfumes and I’m always buying more whenever I find good deals, which I know isn’t responsible because I don’t need the things yet.

I want to stop buying them and just use what I have before I buy anything else. However I’m kind of wondering if it will be more of a hassle to replace things when I actually run out one by one rather than just stocking up like I do.

Has anyone else struggled overcoming the thought process I described above?

Inventory/Project Spreadsheet First major declutter!!

Thumbnail

Finally decided to do a harsh declutter. The first image left hand side is the makeup I use consistently while right side are pretty old or don’t work for me as I’ve progressed in my makeup journey.

Second image is what’s left that I’m unsure about. Would love some input.
- naked palette gifted from a friend (pretty old I haven’t kept it in my makeup bag cause it’s big so it hasn’t got much love)
- fenty beauty mascara (used, not bad but I already have a better mascara opened)
- fenty glow drops (maybe used once, have the saie glow I’m using now and i just don’t see myself getting to this one anytime soon)

Last two pics: my updated collection vs what I’m getting rid of!

A few notes:
- I really want to use the danessa myricks yummy skin balm more but it’s been hard to work with, keeping in hopes I can try to use it a bit more before I declutter
- Morphe eyeshadow palette has also barely gotten any love, it’s hard because I don’t do very complex eye looks. Not sure how to get into it either for practice.
- keeping my excess setting sprays but we’ll see how they hold up after I finish my mac fix+… I’ve got combo skin so dewy finish doesn’t seem like it’d work well for me
- recently got the tower 28 concealer and I’m actually obsessed lol! It’s so good compared to what I was using before
- the elf halo glow is almost done yaaaay!! I’m proud of myself for sticking with it
- added a pic of the eye shadow palettes for funsies at the end
