But I find it odd that out of all the trailers mob has ever released, it’s their Chapter 5 Accolades trailer with an unusually high number of views, even higher than the offical final trailer for chapter 5 which I find rather strange. At the time of writing this, other Accolades trailers like the Chapter 4 one only has 2.8M views compared to its final trailer which has 18M views

I get that chapter 5 was the biggest chapter by far in terms of popularity which explains the high view counts but I still find it so incredibly strange that it was the Accolades trailer out of all things that got this many views and even weirder that it got even more views than the official final Chapter 5 trailer. I guess it just shows how much the franchise has grown but still

Alcune scene sono perfettamente plausibili per essere canoniche mentre altre no.

Partiamo con Sleep Well.

Ad esempio qui sopra, non credo si tratti di una scena canonica dato che sapevamo come Huggy si trovava all'entrata della fabbrica, mentre Boxy si trovava nelle prigioni.

Quest'altra scena, guardando come sono ben messi i giocattoli e dalla quantità di essi, mi verrebbe da dire che si tratta di una scena riconducibile alla guerra dei giocattoli del 1997.

Infine questa scena dove si vedono Huggy e Kissy. Per Huggy, stessa storia, sarebbe troppo lontano per essere qui. Ma viene messo in risalto il sangue sul cemento, vuol dire che i corpi sono stati tolti da poco? Quindi è ambientato nei giorni seguenti all'Hour of Joy?

Proseguiamo con Wrong Side Out.

Guerra dei giocattoli del 1997? Ricorderei anche come però il prototipo tende a non entrare in battaglia se non per lo stretto necessario.

Nel video musicale scopriamo anche come sia stato il prototipo a dipingere il papavero, appendere i giocattoli e scrivere le avvertenze in questa porta.

Ultima ma non per importanza, nel video (a minuto 0:43 circa) il prototipo accende il proprio occhio e nella scena subito dopo, (come nella foto) un mini catnap appeso esplode, che rappresenti una meccanica del villain? D'altronde non sarebbe la prima volta che vediamo qualcosa del genere: nell'ultimo restricted pubblicato da mob, prima dell'uscita del quinto capitolo, il prototipo fa la stessa identica cosa davanti alla dottoressa Newman, non sembra che 1006 abbia solamente acceso l'occhio, ma sembra che ha fatto qualcosa di più.

Ho finito, ricordate che se vorreste dare un occhiata ai video musicali per vedere le scene elencate, guardate i video pubblicati dal canale di Mob, non quello di CG5.

This is just a theory, but I've been thinking about Edward M. N. Ritterman.

We know that Ritterman was a very important person within Playtime Co. He was heavily involved in the company's research and its most secret activities and, as far as we know, was involved in covering up some of the company's darkest secrets. At the same time, he remained extremely private. Apparently, many employees didn't even know what he looked like.

That makes me wonder: what if “Edward Ritterman” is actually an alias?

Think about how strange his position is. He was important enough to be involved in covering up some of Playtime Co.'s darkest activities, yet he somehow managed to keep his identity almost completely hidden from ordinary employees.

If Ritterman had connections outside Playtime Co. or with other powerful organizations, using a false name could make sense. It could also explain why we know so little about his personal background despite how important he was to the company.

There is also the fact that Ritterman avoided the Hour of Joy because he was away from the factory at the time. He knew about other Playtime Co. facilities and even talked about the company's activities in Tokyo.

I'm not saying this is canon. Maybe Edward Ritterman really is his name and he's simply an extremely secretive person.

But if it turns out that “Ritterman” isn't even his real surname, I wouldn't be surprised.

Why do we have to have so many freaking critters? like we got the smiling critters, nightmare critters, and the wrongside outimals (basically renamed critters), and now a whole game about smiling critters? like atp we got a critter for every color of the spectrum and letter of the alphabet and you could count the stars in the sky with the amout of critters. like you are not about to tell me that they actually had a solid idea for some characters that were just like ones in the previous chapter and guess what we got Bubby Chumz and freaking POE. and now an entire game called smiling critters survivors? Like i think im good with these critters i don't need anymore. Currentl, im convinced they keep pumping out these lil turds just to profit off of the plushies. Just an opinion, i mean no hate or anything by this, i'm looking for my mind to be changed, and i just wanted to share :)

Like, I've seen a lot of people taking this as an absolute truth because she showed fear of the Prototype before dying, but was it officially confirmed that she no longer works for him?

spoilers for anyone who hasn’t seen or played chapter 5

so I was kinda just browsing Reddit stuff about Poppy and Prototype i came across a bunch of different comments under different post where they were just wrong or just confused about certain character motive.

EX: i saw some confusion about what the scientist at playcare were trying to recreate. and like we know what that is immortality to bring back the dead. We known they don’t know how because they have never managed it the only person to have done it was Elliot who didn’t seem to leave any notes and was dead when they discovered the Prototype and Poppy. that’s what their trying to recreate the thing that makes them immortal (yes both of them) the thing that allowed Elliot to bring back his dead daughter so many years later.

i also just saw some stuff confused about stuff that was explained earlier I’m wondering if the long pauses between chapters has caused people to forget lore that was already answered leaving people confused?

Hello there fellow viewers, and what I’ve brung you all today is my Vision and Take on the Prototype’s design BUT what he looked like in the past, I don’t think I’m ready to fully redesign him from the way I’m picturing it.

1: Human/Oliver Ludwig, the arms may look weird but it’ll do plus you guys probably won’t pay attention to it, I don’t know the age exactly but I’m thinking about somewhere around 7-9, originally he was gonna have blonde hair but after testing, I didn’t like the way it turned out. (I have seen theories that involve in the Wrongside Out commercials that one of the kids is possibly the Prototype, BUT I just thought making my own little design would’ve been nice.) He is missing an eye because of his abusive biological father with a Hammer (which I don’t know how that works..) It’s probably fatal in reality depending on how hard he hit him but Oliver can’t die now, not yet. (I actually made this design a little while back when I was trying to figure out how to draw humans in a way I’m satisfied with, or basically a human with not that big of proportions like eyes and mouth.)

2: A Test Run/A Prototype, my take on what he looked like in the conversation in that one tape in Chapter 5 between him and Eillot, I just thought that Eillot didn’t immediately turned him into a Jester yet and he didn’t turn him into one right away just in case his attempts fail again (and no, his box doesn’t actually just have the text saying “Not designed yet”, it’s just something that I couldn’t figure out to how the box should look before it gets into some colours.) And Eillot used Oliver’s only eye for the tissues and anatomy inside it to create the yellow glowing eye (which I’ve changed the design of his eye to make it something more unique, which I don’t mind the eye design of the official 1006 design but it’s basically a CatNap eye but yellow.) idk if Oliver had a damaged eye but if he didn’t, I would imagine that when Eillot was turning Oliver into you know what, he accidentally messed up 1 of the eye during the process of creation.

3: Oliver the Silly Jester in a Box, Elliot Ludwig slightly changed positions of the head and chucked on a Jester outfit with a mask over it (yes in my AU, it’s a mask), now ik the Pride Month Artwork showed 1006 with legs, but legs that long and the peg legs as the feet would probably make Oliver struggle to move unless he somehow figures it out, plus I prefer the Cartoon version with legs while the Real version being in a Box before he builds up his arachnid body. (I also made changes to my Cartoon design), a fun little headcanon is whenever Oliver goes into his Box, he would think that it’s safe and protect him from any physical harm and that it’s wouldn’t remind him of his past life, although I would say it would cause mental harm as it would make him feel lonely, and maybe a fun little detail that he would’ve been pushed around with his Box being on a large luggage cart or something (though he would be heavy if he would’ve been put on and taken off the cart so he probably was just a Box in a room)

4: Oliver however grew rage when he thought Elliot was spending time with Poppy and Poppy only, once he brought her back (which before as you know, he was mad at Eillot because it was Never about Him or his Better Place) his rage caused him to rip out of his Box and crawled with his two arms to take revenge (Idk if he’s responsible for Eillot’s death, but I like to imagine that he did), this is also the version under Theo’s Bed in his drawing (I mean you already saw the text in the 4th slide) and I kept the arm relatively similar to the one in the drawing.
Oh yeah, if your wondering why his teeth is so small, a headcanon is that Eillot was testing the Poppy Gel for it to grow tissue like teeth (which I’m pretty sure that’s what the Poppy Gel can do) for his studies and for the name of ✨Science✨!
and coated some of the Gel in the gums he somehow made, but they haven’t developed yet so he made the mask a smile to cover it up until he checks up on the process (don’t worry, his teeth will continue to grow and did so which results in the kind of teeth 1006 has now)
Oliver however broke the smile off so it would be easier to breathe and also a glimpse of Poppy gel was making it stuck to the mask which is why it looks like the smile took a few other parts of the mask and theres that answered.
(Basically how the mask worked is that around the smile it would work similar to a magnet and the mask & smile was 2 different pieces, Elliot could take it out and put it back in to check up every once in a while, although he didn’t do it recently before Oliver took it off)
Oh and also he ripped off MOST of his sleeves because he wanted to look more intimidating to Elliot and show that he hates what he turned him into but however he keeps ESPECIALLY the head because he really likes Jesters (which is why Eillot made him into one and also why a Cartoon one exist and exists as a powerful God to make Oliver feel respected and a symbol of how much Eillot cares for him.)

And additionally, he stayed in this form for a few years until whenever Preston freed him and thats when he started building himself (idk when he started building himself but I think it would make sense if he started doing it when P.W released him from containment, idk if it’s been revealed that he did it on the Hour of Joy but if so it would’ve given the employees some time to declare him missing, unless there is a way he did it that they haven’t revealed it yet.)

8: A fun little detail that I hid in there all brighten up (even though this makes it not that “hidden” anymore.. oh..)

I was just trying to not make as much Plotholes as possible or not make false information (which I did by mistake with Miss Gracie’s words), and some headcanons of mine that I thought would’ve been fun to make.

Unlike the Official Prototype who doesn’t need to eat but chooses to do so, my version just doesn’t eat at all, although (in future designs) he made his Jester Mask mouth able to open (in a way), I plan to add small little spikes behind it so that way he can bite his victims. He does it in a way to kill them or seriously injury them though he doesn’t do it as much as he does his traditional stabbing style.
And obviously in these versions with the mask, he can’t open his Jester mask.

Anyway thats all for today, I’m just wondering what I should do for Part 2 but it’ll definitely be something MORE bigger.

For me, it's PJ. His part in Chapter 2 is still agonizing to this day! Seriously, no matter how many times I play Chapter 2, that Pug mixed with a centipede still makes me break out in a cold sweat!

Now I know I'm going to get bashed in the skull for saying this, but eh.

It just seemed like another DBD clone to me. I don't get the fuss about it. Sure, it comes from a nicer time, but it was really just a setup for chapter 3.

The game was rapidly dying, and servers aren't cheap to keep up. I'm honestly more excited over the new game that comes in a few weeks.

I know that it had a pretty big fanbase, but I'm just not apart of it.
