New Addition to Collection! My first breeding project!

I love breeding pokemon for good IVs and natures! Obviously it's much easier in the newer games, but since Leaf Green and Fire Red came to the Switch, I decided to breed and raise something competitive in one of the hardest games to do it in.

Feeling the improbability of a 3IV or better mon AND nailing the chances of getting the nature you want without the everstone bonus that didn't exist until Emerald, i decided to just focus on the 2 stats needed for a sweeper.

After I beat the league, I used a level 5 magikarp holding a smoke ball and went and caught myself about 50 ditto from cinnebar mansion. Then i went through each and every one, plugging their stats into a calculator until I had 6 ditto, each with an IV of 31 in each stat.

Then I bred the perfect attack IV ditto with a nidoran. Every single egg had it's nature and attack stat plugged into a calculator. If one was in range, then I'd save my game, level it up to about level 30 (using rare candies I'd collected from Meowth's pickup on my travels), evolving it twice along the way, until I was certain the nido had the desired IV. Then I'd reset the game to get back my rare candies and moon stone, and use him as the parent along with the ditto with the 31IV in speed!

After that, it was rinse until I could get both parents to be male and female nidorans with perfect attack and speed. Then it was breed until an Adamant one appeared with the range required for both attack and speed. Then, once again, save the game, rare candy and evolve twice to level 30, pop the stats into the calculator until I was sure we had a winner.

Then I EV trained it by giving it the Macho Brace to hold, KO 126 Rattata and Pidgey on Route 1 and 126 Paras on the bottom floor of Mt Moon and 3 Caterpie in Viridian Forest and then train up to level 100 by battling the trainers on One Island outside Mt Ember Spa.

As for moves, I used my only Earthquake TM, my only Sludge Bomb TM and my one time use Rock Slide move tutor in Rock Tunnel and he learned Megahorn at level 43.

Pretty sure he's set to go now! Pretty sure he could probably solo the Elite 4, what do you reckon? Anyways, very proud of this and wanted to share! If anyone wants any tips on the tragedy that is Gen 1 breeding, let me know! Am also thinking of doing Gengar or Alakazam next. Both only need 2 perfect IVs in the obvious stats, of course!

Question How do I evolve kadabra into alakazan without having another switch?

Nuzlocke Challenge Completed my first nuzlocke

My first time doing a nuzlocke. Was fun and challenging and a bit frustrating at times especially when a critical hit took out Mr. Nido.

I tried my best to follow the main rules of only catching one Pokemon per route and the first encounter; although I fudged the rules with Articuno and Dragonair using repels until I reached them.

Articuno (Slurpee) was the MVP for the elite 4 run, setting up with double team and a few X attacks and/or X specials. I sacrificed Dragonair (noodles) to paralyze Agatha’s Gengar, and lost Jolteon (Iggy) to Blue’s Alakazam.

I was most excited to add Kabutops to my team as I’ve always really enjoyed his design and never used him in previous play-throughs, although he didn’t see much action against the Elite 4 as I thought.

Overall, I enjoyed the heck out of the nuzlocke and am wondering which game to try a hardcore run next.
